Use the old oil seal with tribond paste. It should work fine.

          • Hey guys, am having a query related to warranty.

My bike crossed the 9.5k mark yesterday meaning its time for service, but the bike is only 8 months old, so can I skip this service and do both of em at the next service??? And will it void my warranty.???

The reason I care so much about warranty is cause I've extended it to 5 years, and have lots and lots of stuff to replace.

You can't skip a service. You have to service your bike at regular kilometer intervals/time intervals, whichever comes first.

Extended 5 years! whew! personally I dislike taking my bike for service except for major works. I believe I do better job myself as far as smaller jobs are concern, like changing oil, lubing, cleaning, electricals etc. not forgetting body works. Anyway each to his own.

I guess otherwise the warranty becomes void .

The oil change interval is on pretty much higher side on service manual, dont recall it correctly though.. Per manual, you need to top-up the oil regularly. Why the SS insist on oil change, is just to make quick bucks.

                        • Urgent help required.

My bike is having trouble in electrical system since few days . The 15A fuse under the seat is melted off. I replaced it twice and the same thing happens. Then the bikes lights, speedo and the tacho meter doesnot work at all. The console is dead and no headlights or selfstarter . I took it to service center 2 days before. got the bike yesterday and still the same problem exists. The fuse melts off when I use the starter button. The bike was ok when I took it from service center but today I had to wash the bike as it was dirty and after washing the bike when I pressed the starter soon the problem surfaced. . There is some short circuit inside and I have no idea what to check and where to start. Please help guys. I havent took the bike out since days because of this.

Thanks, will be taking her to SVC today. Hope they will clear it today. Or else I will be checking it tomorrow. And the SVC guys don't have 15A fuse in stock. Have to check today and confirm.
