^Have to agree with Joey. This incident has opened your eyes to the importance of riding gear and its essential that you replace your lid that's taken a hit.
A lid's shock-absorbing inner liner/shell (Usually made of Thermocole) basically destroys itself on impact and hence saves your head. Good to know that you made it out of this horrendous crash with minimal injuries. All credit to you being fully kitted out.
Here's wishing you and your Zma a speedy recovery mate
I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

am not gonna get my bike done throught that damage ...thought i hv got the insurance done fr it i dnt hv a permanent driving licence as i got my bike jst couple of months ago so according to some rules of the corresponding insurance ,the incurance can be claimed only if the owner of the vehicle has a licence and the worst part is that i booked a slot fr my driving test and its on 6th of this month and m gonna get the licence in couple of days bt the insurance part is out of my hands now as we need to produce all the documents at the date of accident.....the damage estimated by he hh showroom ppl was around 10,000 and right nw i cnt afford fr such a huge budget and get my bike done coz of few family problems ..i struggled a lot to get my karizma it ws my dream that when ever i buy a bike irrespective age my first bike shud be karizma i almost struggled fr one and half year to get it frm the day i joined my engg. 1st year i used to save evn a single pie i took a big box packed it completely ,made a small whole through which i cn drop the money into that box,like that i saved 18000 in one and half year without spending my pocket money and wen i finished my engg. 2nd yr i finally got my new karizma i really struggled a lot to convince my parents fr buying me that bike ,they dint want me to take that bike coz they heard frm many ppl that it goes fast and no good mileage performance n all bt i gave them a word that i wnt drive it fast .....bt nw i dnt wanna be a burden to my parents anymore so thinking to get my bike back home ...il get one headlight fixed to it and do some minor and imp things fixed thats it...am nt able to show my face to my parents nor evn i cud see myself in the mirror i cudnt keep my word nor maintain my karizma m jst ashamed of myself i jst pray no one shud face such situations ...usually it happens wen eva u hv an accidents as we all kno accidents are to hapen bt the thing is cudnt digest that i am helpless fr my karizma and hv to use it in the same manner as it is and this is the first night am alone without my bike fr the time i bouhgt it... I REALLY MISS MY BIKE

Vams, really sorry to hear about your situation. I can understand your problem, but do not be tooo emotional. I want to remind you that, accidents are part and parcel of biking. I too crashed 4 times till now on my bike. Learnt lessons. I rode my bike with hanging fairing for almost 4 months. Sometimes we will be the victims of others mistakes. Just relax and do what needs to be done. Wait for the DL and claim insurance.
Just chill and relax. Things will be fine in time.

Vams, I am usually a silent spectator here, but could not resist posting now. Dont take it so seriously. Accidents are part of biking. The problem with biking is that you would suffer even if someone makes a mistake - you cannot help it. Just be careful when you are riding. You should be thankful to god that nothing happened to you. Good that you were wearing helmet and gear. If you do not have money to do complete repairs, just do the necessary ones and keep riding the bike until a shiny day comes.
Just relax and enjoy!! My prayers are with you. May Allah take care of you and your bike.

@vams
Kirkiri.....Why so serious dude?
Get a Fz headlight and fix it...it will hardly cost you 1500 rs for the entire repair's....!
I know how emotional it is for you but its not going to take you anywhere. This is the main reason why you should treat your bike like your wife/ Gf/ Secret GF
The more attached you are to your bike the more you get hurt. Treat it with the respect it deserves and not love (its ok to and extent)07 HH Zma

@Vams,
If it helps then let me point out that at least you didn't suffer the worst.
I remember my first and last (bike) accident which happened around my final year engg. exams. I had a severe crossline fracture around the elbow joints and a fractured thumb. I had to take shots every morning before going for one so that I could manage to write something. When my dad came to knowledge of the fact that the accident was on a bike (my parents didn't know I had one, it's taboo in our family), he made me sell it off (RD 350 chinese engine for 21K
). Like, if that wasn't enough then even after the recovery my arm didn't have the same strength anymore. And, so I was thrown out of my cricket club team.
And, all this because of a stunt which went wrong (wheelie with a pillion on, also if I may mention that it was the pillion's fault). I must agree that it did put me back. I haven't been stunting after that and for many years (well, I wasn't here in India) I wasn't riding either.
But I have never taken it so hard on myself. It's not unusual to relate yourself to inanimate objects (well bikes are pretty much animated) and get attached to it emotionally. However, you should look at the brighter side, you're perfectly alright and so is your ride. It's just gonna be matter of some months and both of you will be back again. You can make that big box again and/or pass it around your friends. Till then, let others like us rule the roads.
B'lore guys, show some love. Won't y'all? Put his bike back on road somehow.
