I hav a slight problem here, lately i have noticed that when i start the bike and fix the accelerator to 4000 rpm the rpm starts to decrease and comes to around 2000rpm, it happens even when the engine is hot ? What cud be the problem ?

i had a similar probelm where the RPM meter drops off completely. Got the engien head cleaned and the issue is fixed. Please ensure tht u change the gas-kit and also if its above 12,000 odd kms, u might check by changing the air filter ( i know it sounds like outta da way). the new gaskit will surely resolve the isues

Gaskit? Maybe you meant the head gasket?

Why so serious? just Ask ur Mechanic, he'll take 2 mins. to do it.

Won't let the mech touch it unless I know what exactly hes doing!

              • Raccoon, its no biggie, you can most likely do it yourself. Look at Post 1514 on Page 152 of this thread.

I do suggest you start by placing an old 9AH battery from the dealer to first check if it's likely to fit, before bending the clamp.

I said it'll take 2 mins. for a Mech to do it, dat means its no Rocket science. Even you can do it, n it'll take you a mere 15 mins.
Same thing, but Mech will do it more perfectly than u can, dats it, not even science.

                          Vineet!!

Great & Bad both at same News!!

Great coz, even i checked out with some HH people, they also claimed the launch by Diwali, bad coz, it was expected just next month in August!

Anyways, I feel that ZMR's launch is being delayed quite too long coz, they are contemplating bigger upgrades, which they might have missed or would not have considered necessary........... and chance is they first dint think of putting rear disk, but finally its up with it...

Heard news about CBR150 to be lauched in March-2010!!
                          Ninja is coming soon!
