    Bike will pull sedate after this and with a bit of pushing after long distance it reaches 130 at 8k to 8.5k rpm.
    Exact same that i get on my bike on stock MRF Zappers..!!

      Also, any info where can i get a bike cover in Bangalore? I am using a bedsheet to cover my bike right now . The HH showroom guys told me that the cover they have does not cover the bike completely
      Krishna saar,

      For Tarp covers, JC road - Nandi Tarpaulin- reputed old shop (just a little distance after the BP petrol bunk on the left side)

      BTW, I don't like the new fangled, flashy plastic covers for my Bull, I am using a tarp cover. Old school bull- old school cover.

        130 speedo = 125 kmph true.

        This is all with stock MRF tyre.
        I have measured it with GPS and I have clocked a Max of 120 on it on my 60K old zma
        and at 120km/hr on GPS the reading was 130 on speedo(my bike has a 90/90 upfront so that accounts for slightly less error).
        125 true comes up around 140 on speedo for a stock zma.
        But then speedo readings vary in between bikes.

        • @Jay : Im looking to buy a cover for my Zma as well. Will ask you for details offline

          @Krishna : Id given a complaint about shifts being hard, for the first service. They duly fixed it and the shifts are smooth now. Adjusting the clutch freeplay and getting the shifter linkages lubed will solve your problem i think.

          • Maverick, try CBZ for bike covers. They are good in quality.

            Akshay, thanks for the GPS values. But, I am astonished by more than 13% speedo error at high speeds. I do not think the difference is that much.
            Off late, there are mistakes in GPS too. Recently we have measured with two NOKIA mobiles and found a difference of 2-3 km speed difference between them.

              This would solve your problem.
              Thanks for your advice ravi . Will never ever downshift while throttling. don't want another broken gear assembly

              jayprashanth, Thank you. I was using a old tarpaulin cover for my previous zma, it was dumped after my bike was sold. will be heading there tomorrow. Another old guy here, will prefer the tarpaulins

              • After changing the rear tyre I observed bike going more speeds at lower rpms compared to old tyre.

                in 4th gear
                4k = 45 kmph
                5k = 60 kmph
                6k = 80 kmph
                7k = 95 kmph
                7.5k = 105 kmph

                5th gear

                4k = 65 kmph (previously 60 kmph)
                5k = 85 kmph (previously 80 kmph)
                6k = 105 kmph (previously 100 kmph)

                Note that above values are approximate, not dead accurate (all speeds are speedo indicated)

                    no, actually it's more concerned with overall gearing... The overall gearing was increased!

                    See, the overall tyre diameter is more now, right? So, for every crank rotation, the bike travels further, compared to a stock one...

                    That surely means that now acceleration will suffer a bit or so.

                      You are right in every bit Samarth. Acceleration is a bit less now, but it is not alarming.

                        • Guys I ride a '05 zma which is running on castrol power 1 20w40 right now. I rode a new zma R and somehow felt that my bike doesn't give the throttle response that I got in the zma-R.

                          I'm doing a 1k ride this month end and thinking of changing to HH 10W30 before the ride. Will it harm my engine in any way? Please advise.

                          Also do HH have a 20W40 on stock now?

                            All HH bikes are now running with 10w30, including the old bikes with 20w40 manual recommendation. It is really a good engine oil. There is no harm in using this oil. The technology is better than the old one. However, make sure you use the oil that is manufactured by Idemitsu. Avoid BP. Tide Water India is second preference. (HH oil is supplied by three manufactures; Idemitsu, BP, and Tide Water India.)

                            As for the pick up, because the bike is significantly old, there definitely will be some loss in pick-up compared to a new bike. But, it is true that the bike runs smoother with 10w30 oil than old oil.

                            • Yes Ravi I've read your previous posts and will definitely stick to Idemitsu.
                              Just wanted to make sure there are no technical changes.

                              Regarding the bike, it has done only 5,300 kms!
