I think it's only a routing issue. Just get it checked.Originally posted by MavericK46 View PostMy Zma's throttle is getting stuck at times. At the first service on Saturday, i asked them to look into it, but nothing seems to have been done.
Will be going to the HH SC tomorrow. Any ideas as to what could be the problem area..?Motorsports - Because in football, basketball, golf and cricket, you only need one ball! ;)

I hope that's the case too. They are so darn lethargic when it comes to any sorta warranty repairsOriginally posted by suhasn46 View PostI think it's only a routing issue. Just get it checked.
The throttle gets stuck in clsoe proximity to the 'fully closed' position. And if i din't manually push the throttle back, it remains there. So, im wondering if its a splayed cable..I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

Yup..Originally posted by nirvan View PostThere are actually two wires that form the throttle cable in a ZMA.
Chances are, one of 'em is broken. Or stuck. In either case, replace both, unless it turns out to be a routing issue (unlikely).
Im aware of that pull-push system. Its gonna be a pain to convince the jerks for any replacement though. My bike's done roughly 830kms and already the SC lethargy is pissing me off...Last edited by MavericK46; 04-07-2009, 09:37 AM.I'm normally not a praying man, but if you're up there, please save me Superman.

Hey Guys, I had given my ZMA to the service center due to a knocking issue.
The bike works well after a cold start, but 15 mins of riding the bike in traffic (when the engine heats up a little) causes it to knock when pulled from the 1st to the 5th gear.
I spoke to the mechs at the service center and they said it might be a problem with the carbon being accumulated at the valves, and it would have to be cleaned.
Is that true..?
P.S: My bike has run 1900 kms and is just 4 months old.Last edited by blade7; 04-07-2009, 12:05 PM.

so what say dude..shall i go ahead and escalate the issue...Originally posted by Raccoon View Post^^^Absolutely not true... unless you used some really bad petrol or something. Always try and avoid getting the engine opened.
I suspect your valves might not be properly adjusted.
can you tell me from where would it be possible to get the email address of the Regional or Zonal Manager for Hero Honda..i am unable to find any on the Hero Honda website..

Blade, it is too early to shoot a mail to higher officials. Why do not you take your bike back and drain all the petrol and fill fresh petrol to rule out if the problem is due to adultrated petrol which is very well possible; the fact that your bike developed this issue very recently justifies this. If possible why do not you take the opinion of a good mechanic outside?Last edited by ravi@17bhp; 04-07-2009, 01:45 PM.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

I have not had a good experience with emailing Hero Honda. They are not at all responsive... like TVS for eg. I strongly suggest you just phone everywhere... and demand to speak to the top person. Also try and get the ph number of the area company service engineer. Get him to have a look at your bike.
Also check out your manual for contact details.
