So, your statement was purely based on the demand of the people..??

Are they safe? what's the general life span of these batteries? I have an apprehension as to how will I know when the electrolyte level is gone down? As you can see, I know zero about batteries. Pls help guys.

      Thanks.
remove the seat and then you have to remove the ride side panel(battery cover) and then check the liquid level of the battery.you will see two mark is there low and high.if it is low top it up with distilled water thats all.

Then why was the R15 launched with skinny tires...if we see its thinner than the ZiMA tires(just by the looks) but actually they are equal..!!

People's demand is not the criteria always ok..if we are to launch a performance bike then there has to be some bit of downgrade in the features.

Secondly, regarding your point of telling that the "350cc ZMR is not coming"..is no where related to what all you argued just now..pls. get things right in your mind first..!

Thanks Nabendu, I knew that. But i was referring to maintenance free ones like the Amaron where you cant see the electrolyte level. besides what do we really mean by "Maintenance free battery"?

                • Well I personally think it will be 223cc with couple of more bhp. I hope I am wrong though.

                  • Here's my 2 cents:

The engine will remain a 223cc. PGM-Fi and that fairing will be the new additions, along with the ZMR moniker (HH must do something about their poor imagination).

                    My logic goes like this:
Why would they launch a 350cc machine with the same model name? Because Bajaj has had four models in the Pulsar range? Because of cost savings from using the same parts?

Also, what about the limitation of the current engine block that has been bored out to its maximum?

A lead acid battery is called as Maintenance free battery primarily made up of lead plates, sulfuric acid and water. electrolyte causes a chemical reaction with the lead plates to produce electrons. As the battery is used, the release of electrons causes the sulfur to rest within the lead plates. When the battery is recharged, sulfur is released from the plates and power is restored to the battery.

These are maintenance free over the duration of their life and do not need to have water added or the gravity of the electrolyte checked.

In the instance that gas pressure builds up , vents located on the top of the battery release the gas and automatically reseal once the pressure returns to normal levels.

                      • 46Wannabe, I guess you bike is new. Your battery would come for minimum 2 years. Why do you want to spend 1500 on a new battery now. When the current battery goes, you can go for maintenance free battery.

If you do not know how to check things, just go to exide or any other battery shop. Ask them to check the electrolyte levels and clean the battery. They will happily do it if you give 10 bucks. Repeat it every two months.

Regarding the Sealed Batteries, Amaron is the only one manufacturing the sealed batteries for bikes. Bosch also selling Amaron-made batteries under its BOSCH brand. Currently I am using the BOSCH battery. I do not know about the reliability. Will check it as I use it. For Amaron battery just go around 5 pages back and you will find Amaron battery setup with pics.

Please go to post#1514, on page 152 for details of setup.

True .. It will be same 223 cc engine with more Bhp (most probably 19 )
and more top speed (no offence to anyone)

and Regarding the top speed it will be anyway above 140 for sure
My friend got new karizma on june , he touched nearly140 on it without any modification ..so surly new ZMR will touch above 140

140 on speedo is 126-128 in real. There is a huge error at high speeds.
