. I think the new karizma R is coming with champion.
In general, the figures of 46 kmpl is possible when you ride at 70-80 kmph. If you ride at 80-90, the FE is generally hovers around 40 kmpl. It is no surprise that you got above 40 kmpl, but I doubt 46 kmpl at 80-90kmph.
What do you mean by +20 Rs fuel already in the tank??HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Yeah! I was wondering in which thread I need to reply. I can see his excitement when he got superb mileage, and of course he deserves it. The figures are really fantastic.Originally posted by inder.cool View PostSteve is all ga ga over the mileage figure he got.....

Regarding the figures..I am excited but kinda worrid in a way because it is fluctuating by a huge margin
Yercaud trip ..around 39...steady 80 one way and 100km/hr on the way back
Munnar...33 km/lit with 100-110km/hr
Horsley Hills...46.07...80 -90 km/hr on the GQ and 70 or less for the remaining trip.
Inside the city I get about 41 to 42 -I dont rip the bike a lot and keep it within 5K rpm.

Do not worry Steve, there is not much fluctuation. Around constant 70kmph, you can achieve 46 kmpl easily. Karizma even achieved above 50 kmpl when Bunny tested it. Even Rahul.Cool from Chennai (you very well know him) tested and got astounding figures of FE.Originally posted by steveburnside2001 View PostRegarding the figures..I am excited but kinda worrid in a way because it is fluctuating by a huge margin

Well, even I was shocked when one of my friends told me that his ZMA gives 24 kmpl!Originally posted by pradeep reddy View PostEven my unicorn gives 40-42kmpl on long rides and in city around 44kmpl...my cousins ZMA gives 25-27kmpl which i ride most of the times....
Maybe ur ZMA is fitted with a xtreme engine...jus check tat once...haha...kidding bro..
anyways congrats...
Then later, I knew that ZMA has strange gearing, and that When he rode the bike in the city, he did so in 3rd gear.... because any if he shifted above, he would have to come back to 3rd eventually ...
So, 25 kmpl or so was obvious ...
On highways, the tall 5th helps for good mileage ... So, even 50 kmpl is believable & very possible!---

can't say torque is less, because torque is an engine thing ... all depends on rpm finally!Originally posted by need4torque View Postwhat are the gear ratios of the Zma?
Is the 4 th gear torque too less?
1st Three Gears are close ratioed, 4th & 5th are somewhat longer ... So, when you shift to 4th, you would downshift when a stray dog or cow invades the road, who are the culprits of your mileage problem also ...

in response to ur query/EXCLAMATION!!
No, no relays were added, it may be a dumb thing to do, but I just wanted to check if a relay is really needed. and yes, three days back I switched over from the Halonix to a Phillips 100/90w clear Halogen(without relay again) my observation is...though there hasnt been anything negetive about the battery performance or the overheating of the reflector, however I feel hat the Srtenght of light( the LUX factor) of Phillips aint that good as of the Halonix, but it again is a thing of personal choice, no official comments whatsoever.Originally posted by uniZma View Postu didnt add any relays to the circuit?
I may be wrong, quote me where....Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostI cannot believe that you got 42 kmpl when you did 100-120 all the time. There must be something wrong the way you have calculated the fuel efficiency.
the first time bike ran in reserve---trip meter set to ZERO---filled 5.08 liters of premium @ of some 59 rs and some paisa..totalling to 300rs---went on the trip the next day with speed of around 100-120---bike ran in reserve---checked the trip meter---it was 210 kms---thought i might be wrong---trip meter set to zero again----filled only one liter of petrol---rode mercilessly for the some time before it ran in reserve--this time the trip meter Showed 40.8 kms. and even after that I have been getting an average of aproximately 40 +.it cud be possibly for the facts that I- am using an IRIDIUM sparg plug
- keep the air filter clean.
- Use the carbuerator cleaning spray once a month.
- or for the fact that I weigh only 53 kgs, have a very AERODYNAMIC-Streamlined Body that goes in perfect harmony with the Bike, use a Dash Board Spray to keep my Hemet sparkling new(cuts Down on Air resistance to a large extent)

Coz in my recent trip i was continously on 80 - 90 on my ZiMA....i got an average of 38Kmpl...
P.S: FACT 4 was on the lighter side, please dont try this at Home without expert Advice! Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!
