The user's manual says it should be 1400+/-100 (ie, between 1300-1500) but the HH service center mechanic said i should keep it at 1100 rpm.... Im confused...plzzz help me out......
Cold engine RPM should be around 1100. After the engine heats up it should be around 1400 RPM. Always adjust the RPM when the engine is hot and set it to 1400.

        • Whats wrong with my chain?

with 6.5k kms done, i have been loosening the chain more than tightening!. I feel the bike restrictive with the normal level of chain tension the mechs keep. Also hear the light metal rubbing sound on deceleration, which becomes deep as the bike slows down. Bike feels bettor if i loosen the chain more(ofcourse i have to fight with the mechs as they think i am going against their knowledge! ). After few hundred kms, sure enough its tight again!

The alignment markers are funny. If i make the swing arm end protrusions same on both the side, the scale on the right side is more to the front compared to left side. If i adjust the according to the scale, then the right swing arm end protrusion (screw end) is more out than the left. Wonder which in the correct prop to align.

After 6.5k kms with quite some offroding, the left side of the axcel nut has moved back only by 2-3mm, whill the right side of it is at the extreme front as i tried to balance the swing arm end screw protrusions, today morning.

Removed the chain cover as it was touching the M45.

Hope the above is not confusing.

well, no offences meant in the post....just what i know i shared....and hove some experience as it has already been done on one of myu frnds bike...
Theoratically yes you gain top speed but try practically you would know.
Yes it will cruise better at higher speeds but you would end up losing on top end.

Have you tried higher profile tyres like a 120/90/18 on a zma they do make the zma cruise at higher speeds at a slightly lower RPM compared to stock but then you lose on Acceleration and top end(although tyres weight contributes in it,but this is how it goes)

I have tried everything possible in my 60K old zma apart from serious engine mods,so writing this down after my own experience not theoratical

it didn't and few pennies went waste...
reson being the gap is wide between swing arm & sprocket & secondly the chain is higher by few mm's compared to Gladi's

                  it sure is,

remove the chain cover(which u have), it will do just fine, but chain getting tight, weird it is, dunno the exact reasons, hope someone helps,

yes it has got to do something with the marking points i believe

                    • Hey ZMA lovers, I went to a the authorized service center of HH today wid my bike......and the in charge of the showroom told me that HH is planning to launch a Karizma 180 cc......its because of the fact that the sale of Karizma has decreased a lot in the past couple of years and also because HH wants ZMA to be more fuel efficient....The guy also said HH will only change the stickers and engine...basic things will remain same.......

Dudes, I do not if he is right or wrong....I just wanted to inform you.......... I know this can be another rumour....And I do not wanna go in2 any controversy..So, if any1 has any concrete information about this, only then reply....otherwise plz ignore this post....thanx

A good and now even more detuned engine from a good reliable engine base!
Wow I am so excited.... I just love detuned engines, the world is tuning their crap engines to the next level, and here we have HH pionerring detuning the kick a55 engine to end up being just an a55 of an engine!

Wow! and Oh! Please make it available in Piggy Chops Pink limited edition as well! with one alloy as orange and another violet! (oh and while we are at it, lets make a Dostana limited edition too!)

TOTALLY ,COMPLETLY, ABSOLUTLY AGREE WITH YOU BRO.
guess hh has completly lost their mind. in my opininon the munjals should sell their stake to honda japan which would give the later more freehand in introducing world class bike as they did in case of stunner(debuted as cbf125 in european market with fi)

can anybody tell me how to check whether the clutch is properly tightend and how to adjust it coz i am confused about the whether to turn the screw on top of the rhs engine cover clockwise or anticlockwise??

                            • I have a quick query. Can the rear grab rail of the karizma be replaced with that of avengers rear backrest? Planning to go on a trip with wifey so thought a backrest for her would be good. ANy other suggestions are also welcome
