It is a direct fit. Ensure that the bulb is H4.

          i own a 2005 model karizma
can someone enlighten be about pros and cons of using K&N airfilters
also i donot want to rejet the carb, i heard that if you place the filter in the filter box you dont have to rejet the carb!
also i want to know that is it ok to use full synthetic engine oil like motul 3000, my baby has done 20K kms, currently i use power1
the oweners manual says using 20w40 grade oil while synth. have about 15w50 or so rating which i think means that they are thinner oils!!
          plz advice.......

When i apply break there is a screeching noise quite often since after the 1st service. Even spoke with the showroom people to check what is the issue and also asked if there is a problem with the brake pad to change it, but they adv there is no issue. But still i have not seen any changes regarding this.

There is a tapping noise of the engine when the engine is on and when in neutral, i beleive should be a problem with the clutch. Went to garage but they say its ok.

The other major issue is when i am taking a corner the bike starts wobbling at the back almost like a snake and also i have noticed whenever
i go across the paint on the road which notifies the divider i guess the
bike starts wobbling at the back. Its like the bike is loosing grip. I am not sure if this is a common issue with all the ZMA's or is there anything that has to be done regarding this issue.
            1. screeching noise: plz elaborate...else u may experience some noise when u apply brakes on a ventilated disc for the obvious reason....the screeching noise may be because of the Discs, if they are hard(id oubt tht one thought), or if they are NOT what they shud be( branded, OEM types)
            2. Tapping Noise: welcome aborad...u own a HERO HONDA KARIZMA...., take these type of NOISES as SWEET HUMs from your BELOVED! this is HONDA Personality Trait
            3. Wobbling: cud be many reason but the primary one MAY be... the TYRE is not properly fit on the rim(happens generally after we get a punture fixed up)...remedy---- go to a tyre/punture wala...deflate the tyre entirely....ask him to gentely beat/tap the tyre to the rim(he wud knw what he has to do...) and then inflate to the right pressure! please also check up the swing arm bushes.... go to the nearest TRUSTWORTHY mechanic and tell him the issue....he wud chk and let u know....
P.S: these remedies/ trouble shooting comes from a LAYMAN and does NOT gurantee a sure shot ilaaj!
Its not about the BHP or the CC, its about one common religion called Biking!!!

Fitting a K&N without the up-jetting your carb is USELESS....!! There wont be any performance benefit....just some nice grunt would be heard from the bike...

Now, regarding the fully synthetic oil.....well its perfectly fine if you use it.....and the good thing abt that it would easily last upto 5K kms...

                Oil cooler

I'm a newbie to the zma, and would like to know if an Oil-Cooler (as in the P200) can be fit to the zma? I'm sure that would be an aid for those 300km long rides.

                Any thoughts?

The ZMA doesn't need one dude.... It even did the Saddle Sore (1600 kms in 24 hrs) without a hitch.....

Very rightly said....even without a Oil cooler the ZMA can run long distances without any hitches....!!

Moreover, it cant be fit on the ZMA also....!! so, cant think of it as well....

ONE MORE QUERY, WHAT IS THE IDEAL OIL CHANGE INTERVAL FOR ZMA
                          I CHANGE IT EVERY 2000KMS WITH POWER1
AND TO WHAT SIZE THE CARB SHOULD BE REJETTED TO USE k&n FILTERS
I AM ALSO FACING A COLD START PROBLEM, EVERY MORNIN OR AFTER 3-4 HRS. WHEN I START THE BIKE I HAVE TO USE THE CHOKE AND THE TOP SPEED MAXS OUT AT 120 FOR MY 92 KG WEIGHT. IS THE BIKE RUNNING A LEAN MIXTURE? WHATS THE IDEAL FUEL-AIR MIXTURE FOR ZMA?
will be glad if you could hlp.
                          thnks

Oil change depends on the kindda oil u r using..!! For ex. which i m using currently its Motul 5100 Semi synthetic....and it lasts for good 5K kms....so i get it changed after around 4500 - 4800 kms....!!

There's nothing like to what size the jet is to be increased, but it depends to how much you want it to be increased....ideally a 130 - 132 would be good....to extract out good amount accelaration from the ZMA....

The reason which i cud figure out is that it must be runnning on lean mixture...!! The ideal CO setting which should be kept is something from 1.9 to 2 on a Karizma..!!

Hey ppl its nice to be able to write and ask questions about the karizma. I used to own a Unicorn before and now got hold of a 2006 zma silver color.

I am also feeling like the top wack has reduced after the service last weekend and the engine gets hot pretty quick. I guess lean mixture setting.

@inder when u say the CO level shld be 1.9 - 2 do u keep checking after every adjustment?
