You'd have to pay extra care to notice it, Cause it normally blends in with engine noise. And even my bike can go 80-120 without vibes. Im talking about going through bumpy roads at a particular rpm. Theres not a single bike with a half fairing that doesnt face such issues.Originally posted by Vishakh View PostMotorcycling Experience:

@ vineeth arethOriginally posted by ashwinprakas View PostAnd can you direct us on adding a relay, cause we'r abit inexperienced.
Which relay to use? Is Bosch relay available for H/L?
or any other to consider?

Even I wanna know about how to put in a relay now. The pass light switch is not working and high beam is not satisfactory at all. Rode for about 70kms on the highway last night and felt that the Bosch headlamp could have been better. Might change to another bulb again.
Had a small accident yesterday, not injuries just minor damage to the bike. The front wheel is not straight so need to get some 'Fork Throw' done. What is this? A mechanic told me about it but he dint have the right equipment so couldnt.

I think they'll be considerate enough when it's slight off-tracking which is linked to a post/reply in the thread . But if/when a totally OT discussion takes place that will be hijacking a thread and a no-no .

So am I - Halonix.But planning on a relay .

AFAIK relays for bike are non-existent in our market . What we have to do is buy a 4 wheeler relay (meant for a pair of H/L ) and use it for the bike - which means we get a pair of H/L relays ( a and b).
Bosch is one of the recommended ones .
LOL...OK Aneesh - rectified@ Vineeth
One doubt is - if the relay we use ( eg: a ) go kaput , does it mean that the relay is totally unusable or can we connect to the relay which wasn't connected earlier ( eg: b) . Also , can we use the relay to connect to additional lights (like a fog-lamp) using another switch . .?Last edited by acs1207; 07-17-2011, 12:35 PM.sigpic

there are many makes in which Minda is one of the best (120rs) here even local brands will do the job, all you have to do is secure it from dust and water, Bosch will cost you a bit more i guess.Originally posted by Aneesh@4GHz View PostNo problem for me,might be a problem for the mods.

see relay comes with a connector/ coupler. so once it go kaput then disconnect it from the coupler and replace it with a proper one.Originally posted by acs1207 View Post@ Vineeth

i think your talking about the relay car kits here ?? see you don't have to buy the whole car-kit which will cost you around 600+ all you need is
A relay+ coupler 120rs
4-5 meters of higher gauze wire 30-50rs
2 ring clips 1-2rs
2 piano clips(male) 1-2rs
1 fuse box and a fuse 20-30rsEmergency Medicine and Management

yup, all you have to do is remove the top tube and take it to a hydraulic press and straighten it. here they charge you around 50rs.(cost of fork oil and seal additional)Originally posted by acs1207 View PostReplies in bold .

this is how a headlight relay look like., with the help of necessary wiring and fuse you can mount it in your front cowl.

I put in Bosch/Mico H4 60/55W bulb recently.Originally posted by vineeth areth View Postwhich bulb your using?? if its a higher rated one then get a relay asap.
What kind of shops keep these relays?
What specification should I look for in the relay? I mean some sort of wattage or amps?

I guess we should look for the relay in a car accessories shop .Originally posted by harishsangwan View PostI put in Bosch/Mico H4 60/55W bulb recently.

And since any car's electrical load is above a ZMA-R's , I think wattage/amp doesn't matter .
@ vineeth - correct me if I'm wrong .
