I don't think a circuit diagram is necessary .Would help if we have it though . Snaps of connectors which you have disconnected and the new wiring ( concentrating on the connectors ) might suffice . If the connectors are of the same type which we have now then there won't be any issue .Originally posted by vineeth areth View Postsigpic

again am no that expert in explaining things so sorry if i missed out something. am 99.99% confident about this connections but don't blame me if something goes wrong
.
If your bike is under warranty, then don't try to strip any of the OEM wires instead get appropriate connectors( plug and play connectors are available in the market
)
use ring clips to connect battery and insulate every single connections properly
any more doubts?? feel free to ask
OT- Where is PSR??? from yesterday am noticing his absence here.

I am very much here..watching and learning.Since most issues are getting sorted out by mutual sharing there was nothing much to do for me..Vineeth that's a good connectivity pic and explanation.....the thread is growing more technical with each passing day and am happy to be learning so much ..I also read that you are going DIY on replacement of the parts in your ZMA-R...Good to see DIYs catching up..Originally posted by vineeth areth View Post

Good luck.

Guys , remember that this pic shows the connections as per vineeth's relay . This should be taken only as an indicator and the connections on the ones you buy will depend on the make of the same .Originally posted by vineeth areth View Postok here am attaching a small pic

Having said that I have to add that generally they don't differ much except for the placement of the connections and there's bound to be a circuit diagram along with the product .
I too was wondering whether psr had taken a couple of days off - nice to know he's going through the thread even though not posting and am sure he'll be there to correct any of us should we fumble

Well, Im not sure if you guys still remember but i had the GREEN HID Kit. I finally exchanged the bulb for a white. So now, my low beam is a simple yellow bulb (still) with High Beam is White HID. I think its satisfactory for me... ill post pics tomorrow..PHP Code:

Got a question for the guys who have HID . Does the 'pass beam' ( the one that lights up when you press the switch with your left pointing finger) work correctly ? I'm asking because as far as I know the HID takes some time to light up .Originally posted by krUnIzZlE View Postnow, my low beam is a simple yellow bulb (still) with High Beam is White HID. yup but except the color of the wires, everything else remains same.. the best thing one can do is, hold the relay as in ma pic and try connecting accordingly.Originally posted by acs1207 View PostGuys , remember that this pic shows the connections as per vineeth's relay . does an experienced mechanic know how to connect the relay and all?
because if i do this i am sure i will screw it up

Got everything except the top left(OEM white) and top right(OEM blue) terminals.
Some more light on this please..?

My engine was very noisy for a week. Consulted a few mechs here and they kept scaring me and each had a different opinion. I was in touch with psr sir throughout and he told me it could be cam chain, tensioner and the worst case the camshaft as the bike has done 42,000 km. Found a very reliable mech near my place and visited him on saturday. He told the chain seems to have gone but we have to remove and see what else. So we removed the full head until the bore and piston were left. Here are the list of part I had to change.
Camshaft - Rs 815
Camchain Tensionet(Provides support to the cam chain) - Rs 109 x 2
Gasket Kit - Rs 525
Valve Rocker Arm - Rs 275 x 2
Cam Chain - Rs 461
Air Filter - Rs 205
O Ring set - Rs 70
Carburetor Insulator - Rs 103
plus nuts, bolts, fresh engine oil, petrol for cleaning the engine parts, the oil cap spring, lathe machine threading, etc, etc..
Labour charges - Rs 600 plus another Rs 50 tip to the mech who actually did the work.
Happiness of sitting there, learning everything and what all is actually done in the engine - Priceless
Was there the whole day on Saturday and most of it was done. We had to do the finishing touches and the actual starting of the engine on Sunday morning. Was in K&N before this and moved back to the stock filter. The bike was all ready by noon on Sunday and boy it is indeed a v2.0 of her. Full smooth and now I understand why Honda is so popular for their refinement.
Now the advantages of leaving your bike with a 'reliable' local mech..
- You get to see what all is happening(Last time I left it with the ASC they wouldn't let me in saying there are cameras inside the service are and customers are not allowed in).
- You will learn a lot of stuff about what all is there inside and what is actually happening.
- You will be the one who is buying the parts and paying for it and you can see the new ones actually going into the engine(again not possible in ASC as they change everything(hopefully!
) and they just give you the bill in the end).
Now I am 100% satisfied with my bike. Got a run-in period.
But I know that it will be definitely worth it. At times it seems like the engine is not at all running, so quiet!
Mech details: Mohan Motor Works, Near Kamanahalli Rd., Empire Hotel. PM me for more detailed directions..
Another reliable mech i found during the process..
Anthony, Dam Motors, Mathikere (Courtesy Amit). Thanks a lot bro. Visited him on Saturday morning but he was busy so could not get the job done with him.
And last but definitely not the least, a really big thanks to psr(Raghavan) sir for his guidance, during the past one week. I kept troubling him every now and then by calling but he would go on explaining every minutest detail. The best part is he even calls back to check out how its going(now how many people do that these days)..
I do not understand a bit if he gets too technical
but during this past one week, I have learnt a massive amount of things. Thanks a ton sir!

see these are the wires present in the stock wiring harness. once you strip down the front cowl assay, you will find a bunch of wires running along the side of your right cowl, to separate the front cowl, you have to disconnect the same harness . OK so here in this bunch, you will find 6 wires which supplies the front indicators, front pilot lamps and HL. because your HL bulb is H4 type, you will find 3 wires connecting to the h4holder in which one is white in color, one is in blue
.
am using a different wiring assay for the front cowl so all these are absent in my zma. if possible, someone post a pic of the front wiring harness.
again this color code is according to my zma's wiring kit. mine is a 2007 march reg zma so don't know about the new ones.
