@Shaukshemi: I think its better to put a 35/35 Halogen lamp, its definately a straight fit. I actually fitted this one on my T bird, earlier i was looking at 90/100 Watt Halogen Lamp. But many mechs told me not to do so as it would drain the battery too much. I also believe its true because our lamps, indicators, starter motor etc... run on the battery.Last edited by rugsy; 06-01-2009, 04:05 PM.Let's Ride...

Second one
Hi Brotherhood,
I now currently own a STD 350. Its a new one bought NOV 08. Missed the Electra 4G hence... had to settle with a STD. All is well except for the brakes... sometimes the rear one screaches & makes me wonder if i am riding a RE or a Truck... the front one... sometimes refuses to go back... i mean de-brake... have got it checked with the ASS... no great help... Plz advice.. should i get used to living with it... else i have some options
I am now in a moood n have also planned to go in for the second one...A 500CC Machine... The confusion however, is... should it be a Lightning 535 or a DLX 500 ? we all know the second one (when the first one is gr8) is never new (yes both a Bike & Wife) :-)
Plz help me__________________________________________________ _____

Vibes are there, anything above 3.5 - 4k RPM.
But having said that, TBTS is indeed a wonderful machine, returns a mileage around 40! and has a relaxed engine and very much comfortable for touring!Photo Gallery[/B]

It depends on your riding style, Like i Cruise only around the 80's and so the vibes are not a big worry for me. But if you need to ride the bird for 90+, then its not a good choiceOriginally posted by outworldly maniac View Post

And TBTS costs around 1.04 LPhoto Gallery[/B]

Handling is good, but tough to maneuver it in dense / rush hour traffic. Its not the best of the handlers around, its good for city riding, but you would find it tough to move it around in the busy streets.Originally posted by outworldly maniac View Postand also please tell how is it for city riding ?
a good handler?
and thanks that u are replying bro

i thihnk that there should not be no problems, i have been using some thing bigger than that on my 1977 standar and it worked well all the way for 1.5 year and it was amazing the street would be well visible in the darkest nightOriginally posted by shaukshemi View PostCan we fix 55/60W bulb in ThunderBird TwinSpark..is that straight fit?

Try using the original RE brake pads. I found out that duplicate pads tend to screech horribly. You need to check out your rear brake line, too ... spring working? rust?

Regarding the high wattage headlamps. Be a little cautious, the newer bikes use the chrome plated plastic reflectors for their headlight domes. These will melt/warp with the higher heat generated by a higher wattage bulb. What you can do is shift over to the traditional metal dome which will withstand the additional heat much better.
All the best with your ride!!
