Anyone has Idea for Waiting Period .I booked Classic 350 Ash in Nerul ( Navi Mumbai ) and they said waiting period is of 6 months . Where as few of my friends recently brought Classic 350 got delivery in 25 days through Authorised Dealers .

Now when i spoke to the sales person he told me that we are not Dealers we are directly Royal Enfield Company showroom you will get latest manufactured Bull .

Any Idea or Help will be much Appreciated.

Hi all,I bought my first bike,a royal Enfield Thunderbird 350 in feb'15.. Everything was fine till 2nd service..it returned a mileage of 33-37kmpl...after that I can find a steep incline in mileage...it gives 20-27kmpl depending on the speed..if I drive at 60kmph,at highways,it returns 25-27kmpl and any speed above which returns a lower mileage..complained the RE people many times and even I had sent a mail..they couldn't solve the issue. All they say is,this is the average mileage in Thunderbird 350!!! After many arguments, fights, they changed the carburetor and I got 40kmpl at 60kmph..again after driving around 150kms,the bike become as normal.. Any clues??

Every dealer will give latest manufactured bullets only. The manufactured date with time of completion is sticked in the side of engine. You can verify it before taking delivery. Try to buy from where there is less waiting period.

Increase the ideal rpm. If the problem persists, try reducing the spark plug. My friend had same problem on his electra UCE. Our bullet mechanic did this alterations, and then bike was running fine.

I own a std 350 and planing to upgrate stock headlights with LED or HID along with LED indicators
I have 12v5ah battery installed and not sure if that can take load of 6 led (4 indicators, headlamp and tail lamp)
With simple calculation I can get total 60watts but I want to know how to distribute this and which headlight should be good enough
                Thanks
                Friends,

Quoting the question by prashant, I do have a similar requirement.

Is it possible on RE Std 500 to have the projector lamps from thunderbird?

Since the wattage levels are same, will that be a direct fit?

Did anyone had hands on experience? If so, it would great to know that
                Regards,
                GinsB.

Hey, longer self might also mean the self motor. get it checked and cleaned if needed.
                    Check the spark plug too.
As per my belief the best way is to not give throttle while starting. just let the motor do the work..

Bro, you need to be careful about the brakes and a lot more than speeding the bull. You know, it is lazy when it comes to stopping it..
Get the break/disk pads checked, if you have disk, get the disk plate checked too. Plates get thinner with usage, do not forget to check the disk oil too.
if the bike is really old, go to the mechanic and get the rims checked (from inside where the brake pads touch the rim.).

these few checks ought to do the work.. and then my friend you will be good to go.. and go fast

                    Ride Safe.. Ride Long..

Can any one tell me the best RE SVC where I can get me bike serviced. I recently bought the bike (31 March'16) and it's the 2nd service which is to be done in a few days (2877 KMS done).

Any suggestion on Engine Oil are welcome..

Hey guys! My friend owns a classic 350 which was stored for a year. Now he has started riding it after a regular service. But the problem is whenever the throttle is opened, it jerks and then pulls along. Checked the afr, adjusted it but no improvements. What might be the issue here?

Has anyone over here tried the RE Himalayan?
I need an honest and complete review of the bike. Positives as well as the negatives. As I am looking forward to book one for myself. Please help!

Clean /replace air filter (or try riding with the air filter out to check if that's the cause before replacing it)
clean out the petrol tank and the petcock.
open the carb and thoroughly clean it out.

Use the choke, and then kick start it.
Let it idle for around 30 seconds on choke, then close the choke. Do not rev the engine unnecessarily.
Ride the first 1km or so gently i.e. like taking a walk with your gf and not like running when a dog is chasing you.
This is a general rule for almost any motorcycle. Use the kick on cold starts, if the bike is equipped with one.
And don't forget to read the owners manual.
