Please help me to pick from it or give your opinion if u have. Now my bike is blue which i will also post
Bro, if I were in your place I would opt for the second option: matt finish maroon + black matt finish on engine, silencer. Graphics and Chrome to the minimum. I prefer matt finish to chrome only because of the novelty factor: almost all the cruiser you see on road are laden with chrome. On the other hand a matt finish on engine and silencer will give it a distinct identity. Something along the lines of Kawasaki Vulcan!

Thanks but matt finish u told is matt brown...everyone says redwine/maroon color...3rd option...well lets see...more opinions are heartly welcomed
The reason why chrome are parts are more in cruisers is...engine,silencer and tyres are the main highlight exposed parts in cruisers than fairings in sports bike and tat maybe main reason. Putting everything in matt may dull the whole bike

Not possible AFAIK. The newer versions of 180/220(silver engine casing) have nearly same internals and I couldn't find any possibility to fit one in my 180. The shaft for kicker rod cannot be fitted into the casing. So that should be the case with the avy too.

Thanks John, if I may, I had another query, it seems that in my last service the ASC had made the AFR ratio on my bike very lean that is at full throttle the bike is refusing to surge ahead, instead it jerks as if it is knocking.

Do you know any ways to tune the AFR given that the bike does not have a rpm meter for reference.

I am planning to purchase the new avanger street in January next year. I can buy it tom but don't want to loose a year. The help which I need to discuss here with you all is that I have been ridding pulsar 180 since a long time will I be comfortable on this bike or not as I am used to sitting upright and the legs are used for those breaks and gears. But here the scene is totally different. Friends I need your support as I don't want to end up like why did I purchase this. As the same case happened in pulsar 220 I had to sell that bike in 8 months. See I am a totally city ridder. I don't go beyond 50 km/hr. I like smoothness there should be minimum sound from the bike. I have kept 180 like since 4 years. Out of which I have changed them twice got a good deal so sold and bought again a 180. Currently I am without a bike at present and going about on a car. Just with all your experience and since you all are ridding this bike from a long time please advice me your best comments if or not should I go for this bike at all. Please.
Or should I buy a 180 again. I am a bit confused here. I have taken the test drive but was not so happy I don't know was not comfortable on the sitting position.

                      Sorry bro for late reply.
First thing first. If you are taller than 5'9" then you will feel really uncomfortable in this one. My one friend is 6'2" and he can hardly do 30km at a stretch in my bike whereas I can do real long rides without any hiccup. You will feel a little odd for first couple of weeks as you are not habituated in this type of riding posture but trust me after you become comfortable you will love this type of riding posture. Go for another test ride or if you have any friend having an avenger, try that too. Take the decision wisely and good luck.

Thanks a ton yes the vehicle has been booked but I shall take the delivery in January so that I don't lose a year model.
Yes I went thrice for test rides plus I took my friends bike for a long ride. Yes the bike is very comfortable there are no words to express but I want my friends to guide me if I can fit tubeless tyre on my seed as the company people are saying that it won't be possible on these alloys which currently given in the. We avanger street.

I haven't got the chance to test ride the street model yet as it has not reached our city showroom till now. But I asked them about the tubeless tyre compatibility with this model and they said that it can be done. Now I am confused as you said exactly the opposite. Are you sure that tubeless tyres cannot be fitted with these alloys?

I would Like to share my experience regarding booking of bajaj avenger street 220 with SURYODAY BAJAJ GOREGOAN WEST MUMBAI.

Day One 3rd November: Bike Inquiry. Went into Suryoday Bajaj To inquire about the new Avenger which is aviable on display. Ask for a test drive which they refuse. My question is when you purchase a bike almost close to 1 lac how can you buy without test riding it. Anyway still keen on buying I ask about the delivery time which is mentioned as 10 to 15 days on full payment of cash and delivery will be after diwali.

Day Two : 4th November. I go to executive bajaj in malad west and try for a test ride and i get one however he says bike wont be available before a month due to his transport problem. obviously I go ahead and book my bike at suryoday bajaj and make the payment. However they don't give me a specific estimated date instead i get a "Sir Jaldi Mil Jaega Reply."

On calling them after a 2 weeks on 16th November am told the bike will arrive on Wednesday and delivery will be given by the weekend either Saturday or Sunday.

I call them on Friday to inquire to which they reply bike has arrived on Wednesday but registration papers will go on Monday. I ask them why is the delay and why haven't you sent the papers on Thursday or Friday. They have no reply. Finally bike is promised next week.

On Tuesday 24th November i call them they tell me bike papers have still not been given to RTO and will go tom on 25th Wednesday and Bike delivery is promised on Friday 27th November.

I call them On Thursday To inquire if we are on schedule. They Tell me bike papers have not been given to RTO and will go on Monday to which i flip out and tell them to kindly not register the bike and provide a refund, the bike is with the showroom for a week and the registration process has been delayed for no reason.
They apologize and ask me to take delivery on Saturday without number and provide me number on Monday i agree. Papers have been sent to RTO on 27th Nov according to them.

Friday We call and confirm they ask us to come on Saturday to collect the bike with temporary registration and take the number on Monday.

I go to the showroom at 12pm. They are expecting us and know the delivery has been scheduled.

I see the bike and the bike has a leg guard on one side and the other is missing. I don't react.

The bike is filled with 500 ml of petrol and the guy cranks it. The bike refuses to crank. They tell me bajaj doesn't charge their batteries and battery is low. This is my third bike and i know never is it possible to have a dead battery on day one from the showroom. They try push starting the bike stating that once u drive it will charge. I refuse to take delivery of such a bike. I ask them to kindly rectify the mistake and give me the bike with registration on Monday. and if the self doesn't work in the showroom i wont accept the bike.

The fact that they delayed the bike is still acceptable but this casual attitude and condition of the bike on delivery shows their respect for their customers and their attitude towards work.

I would advice you to kindly stay away from this dealership and there are 1000s of other dealers.

Will share my experience on monday as soon i get the bike.

This is horrendous. Treating customers like this is big offence. If you are not satisfied on monday also then please lodge complain against them in consumer court. These guys must learn a lesson.
