Thanks Divya, will try these out ASAP. Anything to stop my baby from vibrating itself to death!

    Btw, is this normal?
I mean, I read that ppl cruise at 80~90km/hr fr hours at end on the Dazzler, with 0 vibrations, and here my bike will almost kill me if I try this stunt!
What could be soooo wrong with my bike ?!

Its normal for such things to happen with age. Depends upon the roads in your area too and maintenance.

I thought so too, but this has been a constant problem since day 1 of purchase!

Specially intolerable vibrations in the right foot peg and right handle bar....

To eliminate the sources of vibrations, I tried to hoist the bike on the main stand and rev the engine, in gear.
The vibration symptoms are still present..

Though not usual, but maybe some nut/bolt has a cracked thread and that is causing the vibes. Open all bolts and screw them back with a rubber washer.
Do the same for engine mounts too.

Old saying(to ugly girl)- "Want something red,hot and throbbing between your legs?.....Ride a Honda!"
Honda motors have always, since the dawn of their first CUB 50,been a warm engine.
Even watercooled. ONce I had a 500cc watercooled Honda and even it would get warm in regular city traffic.
It's how they run. You'll also find a lot of Honda's Do Not have a low oil warning light.
Sure they run quite warm. But hey, ever ridden a cold Honda?? Poor indeed.
So if it's not causing your engine to lose power or ping and your not suffering a stink of burnt seals and oil, don't stress too much.
Most important is if you drive a lot in the stop start traffic,CHANGE YOUR OIL MORE THAN RECOMMENDATIONS.

                      • Re: Honda Unicorn Dazzler

Recently I got my bikes brake fluid replaced & pad change (both front & rear disc brakes).

                        Total material cost-

Castrol DOT 4 brake fluid (250 ml) ------------ Rs 100/-
Stock Front Disc Pads---------------------------- Rs 365/-
Stock Rear Disc Pads (Nissin)------------------- Rs 865/-

Well, after sourcing all the required material, initially it seemed like a simple job of getting the brake lines bleed properly & then changing the pads. But this wasn't the case, I had a terrible experience which I would like to share with you all.

I thought of getting this work done from a private garage instead of Honda ASC for obvious reasons which every Xbhpian knows.
So my mechanic first started with the front disc brake. To remove the old brake fluid he first opened the master cylinder & then directly removed the brake fluid tube (point where it is attached to caliper) & let the old fluid flow out. He said it takes lot of time to pump out the whole fluid through bleeder nut. Then he fixed back that tube, cleaned the interiors of master cylinder with a cloth. Later he unmounted the front caliper, removed the pads dismantled some pins cleaned everything with a cloth, greased those pins & reassembled everything. He had a tough time while fitting new pads as piston had came out but somehow he managed to fit them. But while he was trying to force those new pads inside the caliper, by mistake one pad failed down into the container which had old brake fluid inside it. I was like ....WTF..... but he said nothing to worry we will just clean that pad with petrol & everything would be fine.

Then he mounted the whole assembly back, filled the DOT4 fluid into master cylinder by spilling it all over the front fairing. Now he starts pumping the front brake lever actively for 10-15 mins or so. By keeping the lever pressed he opened the bleeder nut to allow some fluid flow out on top of brake disc & wheels & again closed the bleeder nut. Then again starts pumping the lever. He repeated this procedure for almost 1-1/2 hours by topping up the master cylinder regularly. Now we started feeling at least some pressure in front lever.
Finally he topped up master cylinder with brake fluid up to the brim, again spilled the fluid all over places while putting back the rubber diaphragm & cover, fully tightened the bleeder nut & now said that the work is done. I told him that the lever hasn't developed full pressure yet, but he replied that over a period of time front brake lever will automatically develop pressure during my daily usage as all air gap will get out. (without opening the bleeder nut)

So I just called it a day & decided to get the rear disc brake work done all by myself.

I had already gone through the DIY section & came across this (thanks to Xbhpian Drifty) -

So, I first decided to bleed the rear disc brake system. I removed the RHS side panel to access the rear brake master cylinder, removed the top cap & rubber diaphragm & filled the master cylinder up to the brim with DOT 4 fluid.

Then I removed the rubber top cap on rear disc brake's bleeder screw, attached a transparent pipe to it & its other end into a empty bottle to remove old brake fluid.

Later I pumped the rear brake lever a few times, opened the bleeder nut - pressed the rear brake lever down & hold it in that position only - saw fluid flowing out through bleeder nut - tightened back the bleeder nut while holding the brake lever down(in pressed condition) - finally release the brake lever.

I repeated this procedure several times till all the old fluid was out & I started seeing fresh fluid coming out through bleeder nut. Also, while doing this I was regularly topping up the master cylinder with fresh DOT 4 fluid.

Then I finally closed the bleeder nut, put back the rubber cap, filled the master cylinder with DOT 4 placed the rubber diaphragm & cover back & assembled the RHS side panel back. It was all neat & clean job done by me with no spilling of brake fluid anywhere.

Similarly, I also got the front disk brake line bleed properly by myself. Now my front brake lever has also developed full pressure. I was very pleased with my self, thanks to xBHP.

As I was not having proper tools for rear disc pads replacement, I got it done outside professionally at a good reputed garage.

Now the brake feel is great & I am satisfied.
