Vibrations are negligible at any speeds. I know we cannot be cruising at 70+ all the time within city and we mostly end up being between 45kmph to 60kmph max.

But if you feel they are way too much, check few factors that includes-

    1. sparks plugs for deposits and gap,
    2. air filter element,
    3. Ideal AFR settings,
    4. Correct engine oil grade,
    5. Tyre pressure,
    6. Chain slack and lubrication.
    7. Air/vaccum leak - just around the carb boots,
    8. Engine mounts (just in case if your bike is aged enough)
    9. Scissor gear reset - I am not sure if the dazzler has a scissor gear in it? If it has one reset it and the engine noise should reduce drastically.

    Hope it helps!

Getting angry at somebody is the same as getting angry with a bike that just won't go. You should stop and start thinking.
A good mechanic will let you watch even without charging you for it. |
It is funny to know that we've been imitated and copied so well
and surprising when we notice our mistakes are copied as well.

Completely agree to you even I have noticed reduced vibrations at 75-80 kmph and above and once its run for certain kilometers the engine is just flawless...

      • Re: vibrations !!

Even my dazzler (which is in stock condition) vibrates a bit @~4300 rpm, but it goes after crossing ~4700 rpm. And this happens abruptly. It was more noticeable before as entire digital console and its casing would vibrate. Service center guys were not able to rectify it, so I opened the crown over headlights myself and stuffed its upper portion(which creates a wall around console) with dampening material (a lot of polythenes bags actually pushed in the cavities and sealed with electric tape ), and it worked well for me.

I agree with plasmabhai, its butter smooth at higher speeds and can cruze well between 80 and 90Kms/hr (80KM/hr is achieved @6000 rpm, remember peak torque is at 6500 rpm)

          1. sparks plugs for deposits and gap, just changed with new NGK dual
          2. air filter element, changed to new
          3. Ideal AFR settings, ??? please describe a little
          4. Correct engine oil grade, 15w40 Castrol power1, can upgrade to Motul 300V if that would help in this case
          5. Tyre pressure, as per recommended PSI's
          6. Chain slack and lubrication. little old, there is slack would be checking that
          7. Air/vaccum leak - just around the carb boots not sure about it , how to verify it ? any DIY check ?
          8. Engine mounts (just in case if your bike is aged enough) mine is 3 years old. not sure if its the problem.
          9. Scissor gear reset - I am not sure if the dazzler has a scissor gear in it? If it has one reset it and the engine noise should reduce drastically. ???

also. as suggested by others the vibrations would start near 5k and goes on increasing after that and it feels like whole bike is vibrating very badly !!!

i have never faced console vibrations at all till now just general vibrations though the front cowls vibrate wish to replace the rubber caps inside the hook which holds the cowl...that should reduce the noise due to vibrations....

              3. It is the Air Fuel Ratio. If you are a DIY kinda person, I will point the correct procedure or you can search the thread for results.

This is contradictory mate. Others state that the vibration vanishes beyond 5000 RPM while you say the vibration increases beyond 5k. Or am I reading it wrong?

Can a full chain cover of Honda Trigger or any other bike be put on our Dazzlers ??? Just curious, as it will greatly reduce the chain maintenance effort.

Just completed a roadtrip of around 1800 kms !! from Gurgaon - Sirsa - Bikaner - Jaisalmer. The motorcycle was ridden in 60-70kmph range and mileage we got is aroung 53 kmpl with one pillion rider all the time.

Only problem faced was the hard rear mono-suspension.

So now I going to get the chain-sprocket set replaced, engine oil replaced. Can anybody have replaced the rear mono-shock to a softer one ??

you can adjust the stiffness of the mono shock

finally got some relief in vibrations.

                        1. will be getting the chain-sprocket set changes its now 17k
                        2. the front tyre pressure was high, hence added to vibrations.
                        3. changed the engine oil from Castrol Power1 15w-40 semi to HP Racer4 20w40 mineral.
                        4. one if the carb boot was loose, tighten the clip screw

will be posting the results after chain set change.

                            Hi abkumar,

Long time xbhp lurker, first time poster!

As I was reading your posts, I really felt that my words were coming from someone else's mouth!
I am not alone in this weirdly vibrating world of the Dazzler!

Unfortunately, My Dazzler does not behave like others. The Vibrations start creeping in after 4300rpm and then increase in Intensity!
They DO NOT reduce/die down at all!

By 6~7K, the entire bike becomes a blender!
The Right Footpeg and Handle bars are the biggest culprits....make my hands and feet go numb!

And this has been a constant problem since day 1 of ownership! Repeated visits to the SVCs had no major impact. (My Dazzy is almost 2 yrs old now....)

At my wits end folks.....should I just accept the fact that I got a defective product and learn to live below 4k on the tach?
                            Please suggest something!

Few things that you can do:

                              1. Do not over inflate the tires.
                              2. Get the engine mounting bolts opened and re-tightened with rubber washers in place.
                              3. Open all plastic parts. Cut small tubes (the ones that come for bicycles) and use them as washers between plastic parts and screw. Better, put double sided tape at places between the console too.
                              Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.
Because everyone who passes, isn't a martyr!
