they say this vibration from console is common!!!
ya i guess the console of the dazzler is not fixed....it does give vibrations when you are at lower gears.........tomorrow me going for my 1st servicing i guess i will ask for the padding too.....
the rear break of my dazzler is quite good but sometimes it comes too good....once i had to break hard due to an oncoming truck and i slowed from 35kmph..it did skid...but i was able to manage it...still kinda worried abt it...
also i wanted to ask a question i feel the handle very high...i have to ride with my shoulders up.....can the handle be lowered by an inch or inch n half???? and will it be advisable to do so.........??????
but the riding experience is awesome......i got it 3 weeks back and been riding everyday......it is smooth on any kinda road and the pick up is awesome i guess the extra .7 bhp really shows its presence......

    • got dazzler(gold colour) before a month and completed 1500kms.i have vibrations in 2nd and 3rd gear even after 1st service . i am in chennai and it gives me mileage of 48-50kmpl.didnt tested it on highways. max speed attained 60kmph .from my experience the pros and con
      pros.
      1.silent engine.
2.descent city mileage.(ofcourse all 150cc are in this range).
3.good to ride with pillion ,my wife and mother have no problems in sitting.
4.starting isnt a problem.i feared a lot for the absence of kick start.
      cons
1.the shock absorber is really bad even after changing it to the soft mode . u are safe and free from shocks if u always go with a pillion
2.vibrations in the console at the 2nd the 3rd gear.
3.the finishing of the bike is not good.after 1 month usage the colour looks dull(may be i having a gold colour one).
4.the wires are not properly fitted as u can see the green and red wires near the left handbar without proper finish.
5.the cost of the bike and the finishing of the bike is inversely proportional.
6.the handlebar is tight when turning to right even when the bike is not moving.
7.braking is not so good.skidding at some times. may be a danger when apllied brake at high speed.i think yamaha fz and pulsar has better braking than this.
8.night driving is pathetic as u have to give accelarator all the time to make the light glow.if u catch the cletch and leave the throttle the light dims.

overall if u want something new like tubeless tyres, front and rear disc brakes and descent mileage u can go for this.if u are a college going guy or who is expecting good performance and style u can for other.
dont choose gold colour (as in my case) the colour became dull after one month usage.

        • I bought the beauty 3 days back. This is my first bike.

          Done around 190 KM.

          1. I rode the bike above 80kmph at once and 60-65 kmph thrice. Is this gonna affect the bike now?

          2. I haven't got the user manual yet.
Plz tell me what's the upper limit to the speed in the run-in period.

          3. edited

          4. The gear box is kind of clunky/not smooth. Specially while changing from 2nd to Neutral. It goes down to 1st directly. Is this coz of my improper riding style (mentioned above)?

          5. Also, gimme a few tips as this is my first bike.
And what about warming the bike up on the first start in the day? How do you do that?

          6. What should i do to keep the bike clean? Some specific products will help?

surely go are going to damage ur engine if u ride at that speed during run-in-period.the mentioned speed is not above 50kmph.
for me the gear box is smooth and it perfectly makes 2nd to neutral.i never rode above 50kmph during runin.

while starting fresh in the morning keep the engine idle for 1 min and start riding so the oil circulates throughout the engine.
do u experience console vibrations at 2nd and 3rd gear? i am experiencing it

mmm...Doesn't that sound like the brakes are too strong. Skidding while braking can be due to locking up of tyres. Locking of tyres while braking can be either because the brakes are strong or the tyres have no grip. Since your bike is new, tyres should be as good as other bikes running similar new tyres. So that can mean brakes are perhaps too strong for your liking. I am guessing you are experiencing skidding due to rear tyres locking under braking. So perhaps you need to learn how to adjust with the rear 'disc' brakes which are better than drums.

              1. Short burst of high speed will not harm your engine. In fact they are good. Just dont do 'sustained' speed.
              2. keeping below 60kmph or below 4k rpm is good enough for most local bikes.
              4. hehheh! many people have this problem. I did struggle myself initially. Now I can get neutral easily. Case of both gears becoming smoother and experience.
              5. Warming is generally good. Heard some people warm it for up to 5 mts. I dont have that much patience. I generally warm it for half to a minute to make sure engine oil is circulated, then I'm on my way keeping the bike under 2.5k rpm for the next 4, 5 mts. then zoom.

You must take utmost care for your bike's color. Wipe it and polish it everyday. Its been 2 months since i ve got this bike. The color is stil awesome man. no dimming or dulling.

                  • Got my bike serviced today........
changed the engine oil.......the effect was immediate as the sound and feel of the engine was smoother
got the handle a bit lower....i guess 2-3 mm...but the effect showed as i felt the maneuvering very sharp.....i have to get used to it now..........
breaking was also better.......as the bike got slower faster but did not skid though it was raining heavily here....
they refused to put any padding in the console when i asked them to...but he said he would fix the vibrations.....i did not check tht
the bike feels like it is brand new again....the 1st and 2nd gear have become smoother and the rpm for gear change has also increased so it will have a better top speed

the console is too good an eye candy at night!
                        Will check the vibrations.

Err...You might not be doing it wrong...but AFAIK u should apply both the front and rear brakes simultaneously to prevent skidding.

                        • I am having a doubt!

is it possible to replace Dazzlers rear tyre with that of FZ's ?

if yes there are any risks?

                          exact cost for replacing?

You should check with local MRF showroom , I think they can fitted if RIM width/size is compatible ..and cost should be less than Rs.2000/-

Seems you got a lemon or a a Motorcycle which was used for test-rides.

FZ and Pulsar? they are poles apart as far as braking goes.
Once your brakes are bedded in, you won't have much problems.

As Dazzler is having a different wheel size than the FZ wheel change will also be necessary!
so i am asking will there be any risks changing the rear wheel?
                                will it effect performance?
