1) Whats the problem you are facing ? Did he tell you when it would be rectified ?1) Air Block ( service manger of the showroom has promised that he will replace the Fuel tank as it is having some problmes)
That is way too low man. Tell the SVC guys about this. If I do 80-95kmph speed on average it still gives me about 40-45. Have you tried riding in speed between 45-60 kmph ?2) Mileage of 30 till now i have drived over 1000kms and it never gave mileage above this
Are you sure you are not using the trip meter ? I've done 1900KM now, it shows without any trouble.3) wrong speedo meter reading ( after crossing 1000kms it startes showing reading from 1 , 2 .....10 kms , it does not show 1001)Peace \m/

this is one problem i am facing fron day 1 i got this vehicle and have been reporting this to SVC guys they tried many things and could not resolve it, Ok let me explain u the prolbme : vehicle looses its acceleartion and does not move all of a sudden when you are riding it and it gets off finaly and it will not start after that, to start this bike again , i have to open the fuel tank then it starts finally.. this happens in every 5km interval approximately....Originally posted by iwonder View Post1) Whats the problem you are facing ? have told this many times but they dont agree with this and initially they told me to wait till first service and now that is also done ,, no improvement
yes..i do ride in 45 to 60.. and rarely touch 80kms( that too after first service)

yes.. 100% sure , infact the service manager has taken pictures of speedo meter and tank cap to post them to honda, one more thing does this bike really have trip meter? have not seen that i can see only one reading, i beleive even the old uniconr does not have a trip meter...

Thats a big problem, but as they would be replacing it. (I wouldn't say it is related but) could it be possible that this would fix the efficiency too ?this is one problem i am facing fron day 1 i got this vehicle and have been reporting this to SVC guys they tried many things and could not resolve it, Ok let me explain u the prolbme : vehicle looses its acceleartion and does not move all of a sudden when you are riding it and it gets off finaly and it will not start after that, to start this bike again , i have to open the fuel tank then it starts finally.. this happens in every 5km interval approximately....

You have to press the "Select" button to switch between Trip and Odometer. When on 'Trip' , if you press the "Reset" button for few seconds, it clears the trip to 0km ...one more thing does this bike really have trip meter? have not seen that i can see only one reading, i beleive even the old uniconr does not have a trip meter...
You can't really compare the console of CB Unicorn and Dazzler, as one is completely Analog and the other is Digital Speed,Fuel,Time,Trip,Odo + Analog Tachometer,Peace \m/

1) no such problems in my bike, touchwoodOriginally posted by anilkumar.jr View Postguys,
till now i have faced lot of problems in this bike and to be frank all these problems still exist and not resolved by the show room people.
some problems are:
1) Air Block ( service manger of the showroom has promised that he will replace the Fuel tank as it is having some problmes)
2) Mileage of 30 till now i have drived over 1000kms and it never gave mileage above this
3) wrong speedo meter reading ( after crossing 1000kms it startes showing reading from 1 , 2 .....10 kms , it does not show 1001)
4) enginer is producing lot of noise and vibrations after first service
Please let me know if anyone knows how to contact hondas customer care and put my complaint there
2)Havent checked the mileage as its only 250 kms and I ride it only on the weekends as I stay in Pune and my bro rides it during the week in Mumbai
3.Wrong trip meter reading is something even I feel... What I mean is when in trip meter mode, the kms increase quite quickly which would definatley affect the odo meter readin.. But this is what I feel, I am not sure if its really that way... Planning to have one of my friend ride his bike next to me and compare the trip meter reading.....
4) First service is still pending and I hope and pray no such problems crop up

First of all I really feel sorry for you... Dono wat to say..
i ve done 1500+ kms on my bike and everything works pakka... No problems or whatsoever... I spend 15 mins daily morn to check and polish my bike... Its in great condition...
I ve started driving a bit rash now... won a race with an R15 today...
But even then my mileage never drops below 50.. M cen% sure bout that...
The only thing I would advice is to write to Honda... And take this matter seriously... Best of luck

the only positive thing is the service manager of the showroom he seems really concerned about this problem and has promised me that he has taken this very seriously

i heard like air block problem will reduce the mileage.... but even i am not sure this problem is happening due to tank or the problem is somewhereOriginally posted by iwonder View PostThats a big problem, but as they would be replacing it. One small advise.
I rode my dazzler below 65km/hr /below 4.5k rpm before first service.
I tested my mileage just after first service. I got 55.7km/l.
Then I rode her very rashly, ie I touched 90-100 now and then. Now when I tested mileage even riding in economy way, I got only 47. So I think what I should have done is slowly increase the higher rpm limit, else it will cause problems to engine. Now its done 1900km. waiting for second service. Hope there will be some improvement then.

Hello guys......
My selection of bikes has always been unfortunate...... I Waited almost a year for Karizma zmr but when it was launched it was one of the biggest disappointments of my life.... trust me ..... I have been a Karizma fan all through my life......Ultimately after such a big heartbreak i went to book my self a Karizma R . But Hero Honda Guys Were F***** idiots........ they asked me to shell out around 15k more to get the bike delivered in 1 month...... can you beat that.???? I lost my cool..... I was never ever really interested in pulsars but then too i purchased Pulsar 220 Dtsi..... The bike Never ever really gave me a peace of mind..... It was in the Bajaj service station itself in the first week...... Now after 220 giving me a an average of just 15-18 kmpl , Loose brakes , 24000 repair cost.....And ultimately a broken leg.....and sum bruises all over my right hand for a lifetime. I decided to purchase a new bike.I have zeroed down on the following options:-
1) Honda CB Unicorn
2) Honda Dazzler
3) Suzuki GS 150r
4) Yamaha FZ-16
5)Hero honda Hunk
The following are my requirements:-
1) I ride daily around for 20 km to my college & back .Therefore around 40km per day
2)I stay in Mumbai . So the traffic is Quite a Lot ..... So have to ride with cuts and bends.
3) I am also a student . So maintenance is an issue and the Mileage is most important.
4) At least some good styling ( college student u see...!!)
5) I occasionally go on touring every fortnight.Help me guys....... Thank you .... happy riding....!!
So ultimately i want everything i suppose....
We Bikers are not those who ride to commute , But the ones who commute to ride

As per your requirements,
For riding pleasure in traffic and good distances, All the ones you listed do pretty much good job. GS150r, Hunk & Unicorn would be on heavier side with 149Kg, 146Kg, 146kg kerb weight receptively.
- All of the bikes which you mentioned are by the Japanese Kings, (3 of them have same Honda engine) you shouldn't go wrong with any of em on maintenance and reliability .
Except for the college going part, I had pretty much same requirements and I have chosen Dazzler. I was more into FZ16 but (around)10kmpl difference & Honda badge made me lean towards Dazzler. Its done 2050KM in about 20 Days and I still can't wait to get back on it. Did a 750KM trip in two days, no back aches or engine problem
I would recommend you to test-ride all of them, as its your experience that counts. The bike on which you get the widest smile, Buy it.
Though, I would recommend you request the mods to move the posts to "What-Bike" forum as a topic or merge with similar existing topics there. You should get wider audience there.Peace \m/
