        • Idle rpm!!!

          @ Sirius

When engine becomes hot idling will increase. Whats your idle rpm? Usually idling rpm is around 1500. When my bike was still new idling rpm used to change from 1000 rpm(cold starts) to 1600 rpm, but not more than that. Make sure that the choke (if any) is fully closed. After riding for 5 min check what the idle rpm is, if its higher than 1500 rpm, set it to 1500. Most probably this will resolve the matter. The idle rpm of Dazzler which I test rode was 2.5K, salesman said its to prevent engine from stalling.

Although, I have gone through the thread, still I would like to ask the owners of Dazzler, as I have to purchase a new bike:

            1) How is the bike going? Is there any issue with the bike? (any type)

            2) On road cost in your cities?

            3) Mileage?

            4) Till now, How could you explain it's reliability??

            Thanks

Hey, nothing to worry about it. I too faced the same problem with my Dazzler before first service. On cold start the rpm reads 1.5k then after a long ride it will read 2.5 k. But after service this problem is somewhat solved

                  1. Bike is going good. I've done 1820KM in 18 days , I've changed oil once, will change again in next 50km. The bike is smooth, took it to 96km/h once overtaking a car, smooth pick up.
                  2. I got it for 72,xxx . Number plate, crash & saree gaurd costs extra.
                  3. I live in a hilly area, get about 52-53kmpl while averaging 55-85kmph. Whereas I got around 56-58kmpl when I did a trip recently in 55-60kmph average speed.
                  4. Its engine is as good as new.

                  • Speaking of Oil change, can anyone guide me if I am right,
                    - Open the bottom bolt and drain Oil.
                    - Close the bolt after the drain is complete.
                    - Pour the new oil in.

                    1. Which oil do you recommend ?
                    2. How is the oil poured messured ? Is it 1L or pour till it fills ?
                    Peace \m/

Yes, that's the correct method. Just make sure that the bike's engine is slightly warmed so that all the oil drains out easily.

                      1) Use any company rated oil. If 20W40 is the company recommened then Motul, Valvoline,.. many options are available.

                      2) 1L is the quantity of engine oil that should be used. Refer your owners manual, it is written there.

Hey, I've faced this problem too! I have it set at about 1500 now. But sometimes it randomly increases. Not too worried though. First service yet to go.

Another thing I face is a sudden increase in vibrations when you touch 4k-4.5k rpm. I know that someone else also said they faced a similar problem but just making sure that this is normal. It is right?

Sorry for a delayed reply, your bike seems perfectly ok, it seems like the s.c has set idle rpm a little higher so that bike wont stall. As new engines heats up quickly you should take a break once in every half hour. This problem will reduce when engine gets settled........

I think the sudden increase in vibrations is due to engine resonance. The vibration is only felt in that range, isnt it ? If so then its clearly engine resonance. When the external force applied to an object equals its natural frequency it vibrates to its maximum. Every engine have a rough spot but do make sure any of the chassis or engine nuts are not loose.

                            1. I have completed 250 kms on the bike and so far no major problems as such except for some cold engine riding... The bike starts easily but when revd, it feels that the fuel is getting over and the bike moves with some jerks.. That shud be fixed in the first service by some carb tuning.

                            2.
Mumbai - 73,224 excluding leg guard, no. plate and saree guard...

                            3.
                            Not tested yet

                            4. Very reliable, after all its from a honda mill..

                                guys,

till now i have faced lot of problems in this bike and to be frank all these problems still exist and not resolved by the show room people.

                                some problems are:

                                1) Air Block ( service manger of the showroom has promised that he will replace the Fuel tank as it is having some problmes)
                                2) Mileage of 30 till now i have drived over 1000kms and it never gave mileage above this
                                3) wrong speedo meter reading ( after crossing 1000kms it startes showing reading from 1 , 2 .....10 kms , it does not show 1001)
                                4) enginer is producing lot of noise and vibrations after first service

Please let me know if anyone knows how to contact hondas customer care and put my complaint there
