Yes, I too agree.. Honda's gear box is really smooth.Originally posted by ssh View PostI cannot stop praising Honda for their gear box. This is the best thing of the bike . I rode a passion , Pulsar 135 and 220 before but the meaning of smoothness i only understood after riding my Dazzler.
Could it be any smoother
I've a friend who has FZ limited edition. He rode my Dazzler yesterday. He too is surprised
by the smoothness of the engine and gear box, and the superb pick up.

Hi people,
I just got a Pearl Siena Red Dazzler(nothing else in stock). I 'm currently using a Silver Unicorn so I'll set out a comparison.
Acceleration: At lower speeds and in general the Daz feels faster and even smoother than the Uni. The Daz has a smooth clutch and accelerator encouraging higher speeds.
Gearshift: Gotta say that the Uni felt somewhat better because the Daz was a tad bit hard to shift between Gears 1, N and 2, otherwise they are on par.
Console: I prefer the digital consoles so for me Daz wins but the quality of the console didnt seem very good(plastics and buttons).
Fuel Knob: the Uni has a nice plastic knob to turn on the fuel or switch to reserve. This knob on the Daz is seriously basic and positively primitive.
Brakes: The rear brakes are the only difference and I haven't tested them comprehensively but they seem skid prone.
On the whole AWESOME, I just wish the design included actual air vents instead of simple outlines along the cowls.

Second Thoughts
Hey guys, I booked my silver dazzler a week ago! Should be here soon. Can't wait!
However, I am having second thoughts now. I have read a few reviews very recently comparing the dazzler and the FZ, and all of them are in favor of the FZ. I feel sorta stupid now because I didn't bother test driving it. I'm not too over-awed by its looks. (Although it is definitely a head turner). But I was skeptical about yamaha's service network.
Anybody here thinks I should seriously look at the FZ. Thanks for the help in advance.

I've used FZ for 16k kms & 17months, my only expense on it was a general service on every 2.5k & my bike returns to it's full health as if some 100-200 kms only has been done on it. Even my mech-buddy at SVC praises a lot for my bike's conditions & for me - this bike itself is a Gem in terms of everything. Nobody crosses speeds above 80kmph in 75% city & 25% highway usage also.Originally posted by adirao90 View PostHey guys, I booked my silver dazzler a week ago! Should be here soon. Can't wait!

Dazzler's story is same as ZMA:ZMR - Dazzler has same engine, just 0.7hp more. I saw this bike couple of days before & deeply mistaken it for Twister from rear & front - only stopped myself & u-turned back to clarify that this is so called Dazzler !!!
Go for Dazzler if u r looking for more on savings + mileage + ownership cost cutting factor. Performance can be had but suggest test ride a FZ & also a P220-F once u finalise ur ride.
Do get back to me once u r done with test rides & say what's the differences u felt. You must be the change you wish to see in the world

I was also in a big confusion which to choose -FZS or Dazzler. Then I fixed on Dazzler for these reasonsOriginally posted by adirao90 View PostHey guys, I booked my silver dazzler a week ago! Should be here soon. Can't wait!

- Mileage - I need to ride 25+25km daily in highway to my office. I'm getting 55.7/litre
- Highway performance - As my ride is completely on 4 lane highway, no need of low rpm torque of FZ. Also I need a commuter so that no back pain
- Looks - Definitely FZ got better looks, but I can adjust with dazzler as I'm not a college going guy(But when a FZS passes in front of me, my heart says why you didn't chose this head turner?. Then I console myself 'looks isn't everything'
)
- New in the market - Everybody got FZ. I need something new. But many of my friends say seeing bike "Ah! you bought a twister?"
(Not much difference when looking from a distance).
Performance wise there isn't much difference, although cornering and city riding is in favor for FZ. Dazzler got good acceleration, very smooth and quite engine even at high speeds.
These are my personal views, no offense for FZ owners. But if there is a mistake please point out.

You can't say its outright better, FZ has its plus points, Dazzler has its.Originally posted by Satyamzma View PostDazzler is better then FZ.........its only looks where FZ scores more
In fact, here are few minor things I realized after I bought it.
- Dazzler does not have the parking lights.
- Its does not come with fiber mud gaurd like in FZ and Pulsar. Though, It not was there in CB Unicorn too.
- I drove for 3.5 hours, about 120km straight, under 65kmph, its absolutely delightful ride.
- While coming back from the ride, I decided to pick mom up from office, although she felt the need of the Saree Gaurd to rest her feets, the ride was comfortable for both. I had enough seat left to be comfortable even though she was sitting side ways.
- It was heavy rain pouring and I had to stop take shelter, and it was under the rain for about 30 mins, though nothing unusual but it gave me satisfaction that it can take on the heavy monsoons here.
Yeah, thats one drawback, though I'm thinking of smoking it around the lens.Originally posted by nidclt View Post- New in the market - Everybody got FZ. I need something new. But many of my friends say seeing bike "Ah! you bought a twister?"

Here is a Photoshop mock up of how I'm expecting it to be.Peace \m/
