I didn't even think about Nightbreaker or extreme. All I want was to install HID. I made small alterations to wiring only to make the switches DC (which can be anytime reversible to claim warranty), didn't touch the coil or RR. You have to use the relay and wiring harness to connect HID. There are many electrical Gurus in xbhp like Sajan and Shreeni. They helped me a lot and will be always available at the thread 'Let there be light' Just go through their posts and you will be clear about everythingOriginally posted by psycho_omkar View Post

I have completed ted just 1382 kms on my bike and did my second servicing somedays back........i have doubt about the genuineness of honda service centre....when i went in the first thing he told me by just looking at the wheel is that it is out out shape and i needed to change it......i was riding it for so long and had no accidents......i had no issues with riding my bike too......i told him then to fix it.....he said it is an alloy wheel so it does not have the option of fixing it.......he also told me tht the disc alignment had gone.........this problem was told to my two other friends too who own old unicorn.....the centre had told them tht this was a problem with all unicorns and they had fixed it in dazzler......when i confronted him abt this he said no this happens and charged me rs.250/- for it.......i'm thinking of lodging an official complaint coz even now i don't see any problem in my bike and there is no difference in braking as to what they had told before.........plz help me.....

Thanks for the info.. How did you convert the switches from AC to DC ? Which brand HID are you using ?Originally posted by nidclt View PostI didn't even think about Nightbreaker or extreme. It's easy. Disconnect the yellow wire (AC) from RR to stock light switch. Loop the Output of Ignition key(+12V DC) to the disconnected switch terminal. (All connections are made at the connector located just behind the headlight, use a multimeter to find these terminals. Never cut any wire just just take out the needed terminals from the connector) Done. Now your Headlight and tail light run straight from battery(Both will turn on when Ignition is on, no need the engine should be running). You can't keep Tail light AC, its very tedious and may need to cut wire. About the brand of HID, I said before, it's a Chinese one. Bought from ebay seller Sri Auto, Delhi. You better go through the 'Let there be light thread' It will take time, but it's worthOriginally posted by psycho_omkar View PostThanks for the info.. Sounds great.. Is it safe to convert the lights from AC to DC?Is it a very complicated job that it would need a skilled mech to do it? How much should it cost ? After converting the lights from AC to DC, since the battery is taking the load, hope it hasn't died on you so far...

I first installed the HID myself by not touching the stock switch and wiring, using an external SPDT switch(for high and low) fitted on my handlebar. I ran in that setup for two weeks and only after confirming there is no battery draining issues, I went to a mech and altered the wiring. He charged 100 bucks for labor and H4 socket. Till now no probs with battery, if arises warranty is thereOriginally posted by psycho_omkar View PostSounds great.. Completed 3rd service yesterday. 6000 km completed. Used Gulf Pride 20w40 for 500 kms and Shell Advance 20w40 for 700 kms. Increased vibrations with these two oils. Changed back to Honda oil at the service, and felt engine feels much better with Honda's 20w40 oil.
Finally got the right headlight cowl, price 165 bucks.
. Still awaiting left rearview mirror and black cowls around console. Planning to put Shine's rearview mirror.
@Ragav, I am using CBZ Xtreme's handle bar now.
For pics, check a few pages back, where I have posted pics of my dazzler.

I'm currently using Castrol Power1 15w40 and I could feel the vibs have increased a bit compared to Honda oil, but there is a slight improvement in power and pickupOriginally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostUsed Gulf Pride 20w40 for 500 kms and Shell Advance 20w40 for 700 kms. This is it.

Cost me about 550 rs. High grade steel construction.
Initially had problems with the clutch and the accelerator since the wire had lost tension due to the lowered height. But then it was rectified by Mechs at castrol bike zone and its now back to normal.
The fun of riding has increased henceforth and its really a pleasure riding it every time. Experiencing palm pain when riding with a pillion on bumper to bumper traffic, but its negligible and is compensated by the fun.
Overall, satisfied.
