I've read in Bike India that it is uncomfortable for long rides. Is that true?
I completed 4500 kms as of now, including 6-7 tours. Just now came from a 250-km ride, including a 90 kms constant cruising at 95-100 kmph. Rest of the tours were at 80-85 kmph. 200-km continuous riding 80 kmph. Most of the times I toured on Dazzler than ride in city.

I have not felt any discomfort and am comfortable riding it for longer hours. I have explained to you why Bunny and others might have felt it uncomfortable.

If your stress is on touring, I advice you to grab a Karizma or P220. They are quick and overtaking is not an issue. Overtaking with 150 ccs at higher speeds is difficult, whether it is a GS150R or Dazzler or Hunk or Unicorn. Cruising beyond 90 kmph on a 150-cc (any 150-cc except R-15) bike for very long hours is not recommended.

Yeah, just collecting everyone's opinion and making sure.
I'll do the test ride soon, but I can't know about the long distance comfort on my own....

BTW, three reviews have said that it is not comfortable!
The one on Bike Advice even says that you've got to take butt breaks every 60 odd kilometers!

yo man done that..Leh ride...and here lies the proof

i reiterate, i rode my bike for 15 hrs on a day of this ride, that too on a terrain you cannot imagine if u havent been there. Damn comfortable, no back/shoulder/neck pain at all. Though there was some uneasiness in my ass, imagine sitting on a chair for that long a time, something like that. With the straight sitting position and all you will hardly have any problem.

Took it down to Yash Honda @ hadapsar and the mech. took it for a test ride. This is the same guy who fixed my console vibrations, very sincere guy.

He said it wasn't very prominent, but still decided to check the engine mounting bolts. He ended up tightening 2/5 bolts, as a result of which the vibrations have reduced quite a lot. He said he can't tighten them further else they will crack.

I do still get some however, around 4k +, mainly through the handlebars. I've done about 1k kilometers so far. Anyone else experiencing this issue ?
Have the issue of vibrating when the bike crosses 53kmph mark...With a 2 person ride the problem seems to alleviate..Took to 2 showrooms and made it checked up!They said it was fine that time..I am not still convinced.

            Wow!!!
            Rockin' pics man!

BTW, some people find it very uncomfy.
Can I know your height, weight and body structure, just to compare with myself?

BTW, you rode solo? starting from?

Yep that's what I'm referring to. I have also observed that the vibrations go down when I have a pillion rider.

              • Of late (after getting my engine mounts tightened & hitting 1k kilometers), I have had the chance to open up the throttle quite a few times.

I must say that the best thing about this bike isn't its floating cowls or its fuel efficiency or its suspension or handling, but it is the grunt and the accompanying leap it takes under hard acceleration. The exhaust note between 3k - 6k rpm is simply amazing. I have owned a 2500 cc turbo-charged car prior to this (Nissan Skyline), but the Dazzler's rush does still get me going..
The vibrations have also gone down and I've noticed they mostly only happen around 4k-4.5k rpm after which they diminish.

I have to say I am totally taken aback by the top end whack of this motorcycle.

Check the manual for the instructions to check the oil level. You can top the oil yourself, but make sure to use the Honda oil only.

                      • Bibhuti Honda, the dealer-ship at Bhagalpur is not relenting to give a quote via e-mail or courier.

Are they not interested in selling their Motorcycles? The quote has to be given today to the bank for pending paper work.

Hope Honda sees into it. Have sent them an e-mail regarding the same.

Highest is 55.7 , Lowest is 55 (Reserve to reserve, some say its not accurate, but since I didn't want to tank up to full, had to rely on it).

Highest average I got so far is 55.7.

Was just saying that some say Reserve to Reserve measurement is not accurate but that was the only method I could use since the other way requires you to top up to full.
