Check your engine oil level.. I was facing overheating issue and took it to service station...Originally posted by power150 View Postmy unicorn dazzler engine is overheating and it takes long time to cool also
anyone help me its only 4 months old
The mech inspected everything but was unable to find out the case... He asked me to come to him the next day... The next day he removed the engine oil and found that the level was higher than normal, which also causes overheating.. have been riding the bike since then and no overheating issues at all..

One hard hit and you can notice the difference in handling. You would have already noticed it by now i think. The bike starts to shimmy(weight shift from side to side) gradually.
I think the Dazzler is much more comfi than the previous Unicorn as a result of the larger rear tyre. Enlighten me on that if it is not the case.
brother i too have this problem . i asked the svc guys but they are not sure of this ..thanks for giving me the info ,my bike starts to shift its weight from left to right and vice versa at speeds above 40 and if i push my front suspension by leaning on it , i get some relief till next path hole. how much will be the repair cost of it and will it be regular when hitting pathholes?
reply pls

i too now have the FE of 55kmpl . previously i had 50-52 with hp petrol bunk now got a move in to BP and getting 55kmplOriginally posted by Pyrotechnics View PostFinished my first free servicing about a week ago & tanked up yesterday for the third time (after 2.5 weeks), thought I'd post an update about my F.E figures.
My last refilling took in 7.165 liters but I went on reserve about 10kms before I filled up so I'll call it an even 7 liters (measuring reserve to reserve)
With mixed driving conditions (city/open roads) it returned a distance of 390 kilometers from 7 liters of fuel, before it went into reserve again.
That translates to roughly 55.7km to a liter.
Not bad at all I recon, considering the fact that my CD-Deluxe (100cc engine) which peaked @ 7bhp returned me figures of ~62.
This is twice the power still returning ~55, thats quite impressive.
What figures is everyone else seeing ?

Actually even I have observed that finding a good petrol pump is very important to having a happy engine.Originally posted by raagavak View Posti too now have the FE of 55kmpl . previously i had 50-52 with hp petrol bunk now got a move in to BP and getting 55kmpl
I used to get cold-start issues with my CD-deluxe (Hero Honda) when I filled up @ random fuel-stations, but I've never had any with the Dazzler. I'm not sure if its just the Dazzler's engine or the fact that I only fill up @ a reputed petrol station (the one on F.C. road, for those in Pune).
What i would have liked to do is fill up my old bike with this petrol and see if those issues disappear, because it really bugged me that a Hero Honda would refuse to start in the morning more often than not and required 2-3 mins of warmup or choking even. They are meant to be the most reliable workhorses around :-)
All in all, yes I think at least in India, the petrol station you go to will largely determine how happy you are with your bike's performance.

spot on man......i too had similar experience.......my F.E increased exponentially when i switched from HP's xtra-premium(45 kmpl) to BP's Speed (52 Kmpl).....this goes to tell us somethning about the fuel which suits the engine better.....Originally posted by raagavak View Posti too now have the FE of 55kmpl . previously i had 50-52 with hp petrol bunk now got a move in to BP and getting 55kmpl
but at present i am using Shell's fuel.....immediately i can feel the difference in the ride quality and power from the engine....more refined and smoother than before.....just Rs.2 more than BP's speed......its worth it......

wobbling & light
...of late i am having a major issue with my dazzler...recently my bike had to go through harsh rode condition here in hyderabad.....even after trying a lot i couldn't save my bike from hitting few pot large holes.....
now every time bike hits a small hole a sound comes from the front handle bar.....
at time bike starts to move sideways on it own......though it controllable but ruins the fun of riding at high speed (50-60 Km).....
does any one have faced problem with light in their bike....i mean the quality of visibility provided by the headlight at dark roads without street light is almost zero...its very difficult to ride with that sort of light + the road condition here in hyderabad........
can anyone come up with reasonable and effective solution......i am in serious need as i have to drive at night most of the days..........

It is a contact issue. Go to a mechanic and he will do it. It happens sometimes in rains.Originally posted by steffin View PostThe red light at the rear of the bike is always on!
It is supposed to be on only while braking in the mornings,I guess!
Please any suggestions?HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

The beam of Dazzler is better than other bikes. In rains, when the road is wet, general visibility decreases as the light will not be dispersed from the road, and it is same for all the bikes.Originally posted by dazzle View Post

Regarding the weight shifting, initially i felt too, but now, I am not having this problem. I asked the service people to loosen the fork a bit. This problem may be caused due to tight fork. Next time try loosening the fork a bit. Cone set will not be destroyed so easily, unless you fall in a big pothole with major impact. If the coneset is the culprit, you need to change it. And, it is not an issue with the bike that Honda can rectify; it amounts to physical damage of coneset due to hitting big potholes. It happened many times with my Karizma and changed at least 4 times.

Guys,
I've done about ~850 kms so far and opened up the throttle a bit yesterday and day before.
I felt quite a bit of roughness & vibrations above 4.5k rpm (mainly in the first and second gears).
Is this normal & can I expect the vibrations & hoarseness to lessen as the bike gets accustomed to my driving style or is it something I should be worried about ?

there is nothing to worry about....as the engine is new it is bound to vibrate a bit......i would recommend you not to rev too hard in first and second gear rather rev to 4.5k rpm in higher gears.....
i read it somewhere that it is good to open the throttle a bit when its new just to set up the engine a bit but not on a regular basis....and more so yopu can do that when the engine is warm, never do that when the engine has just started......
i've pushed my dazzler to 95 km/hr just once it was very smooth and i didn't felt any vibration..... so not much to worry about for you......
enjoy the ride........
