  • My bike fell again!!

My bike fell again today. My blood is boiling when I remember the incident and feeling sad at the same time. Lots of scratches on the front cowls silencer and now, on the grabrail.

After I came from office, I parked my bike next to a 4-feet wall of my house on side stand (sidestand makes the bike lean to left). I came down after 10 minutes and saw my bike fell to the right. Initially I thought the bike might have fell due to loose soil under the sidestand. But, to my utterance, the bike fell to the right and the whole headlight area and grabrail are bearing the weight on the wall. Front black cowls on the console got scratches and got displaced completely. The disc oil reservoir assembly got displaced. The handle bar bent slightly to the right

What happened was, some stupid ***hole intentionally pushed the bike.

Not a single part of Dazzler is available now anywhere. Seems Honda is sleeping.

Hmm, the resemblance of the digital consoles is uncanny.

I don't know why Honda cant @ least name bikes in India using their overseas formats.

I mean would you rather tell your friends you just bought a Honda 150R (or similar)

                or

                a Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler...

I personally think 150R would sound a lot cooler.

It fits into the circular grooves by the side of the mono-shock and helps in turning the mono-shock in the required direction for the desired setting. Refer the maintenance manual of the bike for the exact procedure.

But the catch is that the material of the rod(tool) is too soft for the shock. If the shock has become too tight to turn(which it will over a period of time) then the rod either slips off or bends due to excess force.

My Tip: Get a rod of the same size and of a harder metal say proper drop-forged steel [OR] go to a mech who knows how to do it.(a mere Rs.10 spent never hurt anyone]
Thanks, I ll definitely try it on my own first, as the curiosity to learn..
Or else will take it to a mech and see when he is doing it and can change it on my own from the next time..

                      • BIG PROBLEM.

My dazzler juz stopped working last night so i towed it back to my home with the help of my friend. the battery was a becoming a bit weak after the stupid thing wont start. I took the bike (by towing) to the honda service centre this morning and disaster. After morning's heavy rain, the service centre was flooded and they politely asked me to come tomorrow. Then i had to tow it back, on the way back i stopped at a mechanic and that idiot managed to start it sumhow after draining most of the battery down. The bike was spewing out WHITE SMOKE and was not able to breath, it was choking on sumthng, we check everythng and finally that guy tokk the spark plug off and declared that OIL IS LEAKING INTO THE CYLINDER SUMHOW. I'm shoked!!!! How can a 2 month old bike get oil in its cylinder ??? the piston rings are gone??? I'm still waiting for tomorrow

                          • Wow, thats a shocker dude. I'm speechless !

I know the answer to this one is probably no and no, but did you by any chance red-line the bike (rev it past 8k) or did someone borrow it from you (who may have done that)?

Either way if the rings have given away without any misuse, then I think you should make a stand and get an engine / bike replacement within warranty.

I don't see a reason why they would refuse this, as long as you have done your services on time.

Also, do keep us posted on how things turn out tomorrow...

                              @shareef

Do consider checking your air filter first. It might have got clogged for some reason. Take it out pass air from a compressor and fit it back. If it still persists then your in for some bad news which i will post below.

What the mech told you might be right and mind you it is a very serious issue. Your piston rings would have given away and oil would have flown(not leaked, a mere leak wont cause a starting prob) into your combustion chamber.
One way to check would be to remove the spark plug , put the bike on center stand and without opening the throttle apply the kick start 4 - 5 times. If oil is going into the combustion side of the cylinder it ll start splurting out of the spark plug opening.

There is no repair to this. Your bore piston set has to be replaced.

My take, go to the showroom see what they have to say and offer and if it is not satisfying enough , scream your head off and ask them for a new replacement bike
am a wing rider .. and dat is all der is to it ....
