Are you sure its not the tool-kit under the seat ?

Just recently, I kept hearing a "Thud-Thud" sound when going over bumps, but then I realized that I had not tied up the tools properly before putting them under the seat.

I tightened them using the rubber-strip provided and the noise was gone.

Can you actually see the seat loosely move up/down or back/forward ? That will help you ascertain whether its the seat or something under it.

          • Reliance petrol

What you think of having Reliance petrol over other ordinary petrols?
Even I fill it,what about both types of fuels getting mixed?
Will it cause any serious problems?

Regarding the toolkit, does everyone get a toolkit with the bike under the seat!!
I wonder why I didnt get one!

            • my roompartner, got a new dazzler a few days back. some of the things i noticed and would like to ask other dazzler owners.
              • petrol tank side fairings vibrates at rpm's above 6000, is it common, or i have to get some nut bolts tightened.
              • there is a strange quiink quiink noise coming from handle, somewhere near the cone set. anybody else experienced this problem.
              • the dealer has given "owner's manual" in hindi, in it the running-in period is mentioned as 500 kms only. is it really 500 kms only.
              • can somebody upload a soft copy of english version.
              • overall quality is not what i expected from honda.
              • there is no engine kill switch.

                1. You will have to get it tightened..
                2. never experienced any such noice from the handle bar.
                3. Likewise, even I got the owner's manual in HIndi from the Honda dealer.. When I asked them to give me in English, he said this is what is being given to everyone.
                4. Even I am looking for the english version.
                5. I think the quality is good, I didnt find anything above their standards as such.. However if you clarify, prob I can give it a second look and comment
                6. Yes, there is no engine kill switch.

                  1. Mine don't vibrate, but the digital console vibrates/makes slight noise while going through potholes (its quite negligible).
                  2. Never had this "quink quink".
                  3. Even my manual was in Hindi. I asked for the English version but it wasn't available. Run in is 500, but always good to follow it for 1000.
                  4. I would be happy if someone did upload an English version, but I haven't found a soft copy yet
                  5. The quality is excellent, the engine is great, the bike is wonderful. Every bike has some minor faults or the other. Trust me, I've used this for about 1300kms now and this is a true Honda.
                  6. No engine kill switch, minor short-coming compared to the fact that it does so many things well.
I'm in the process of doing a short-tour write-up (Pune -> Mumbai -> Pune ~ 350 kms all up), maybe that will help you gauge this bike against its competitors.

                  • Too much vibration and back pain

hi guys i bought a dazzler one and half month back and once went for a 250km ride. i am 6'3" tall . i had too much of pain in the back after that ride. and my bike vibrates like hell. and both my brakes make some noise when used. also i am planning to change the handlebar . my options are
                    1. old unicorn handle
                    2.pulsar
                    3.fz handlebar.

and the seat gives me ass pain even for a 5 min ride.

inspite of all the pain i still like the bike.

Yes buddy, the noise is really from the loosen seat only. I checked it, up & down shake prevails.

So, nobody noticed any difference in my Dazzler??

The most funny thing is, Dazzler could go on the red soil and it was quite slippery. After riding for just 50 meters, I lost control and was thrown off the road, and after that I found the stones and grass better than it. Later, I had to clean the bike as lot of hard soil stuck between front mudguard and tyre.

I also got the sound from seat. I tried but it did not go away. Later, the noise it stopped automatically when I recently removed the seat and put it back. I guess, adjusting the seat may give results.

                            • ok, so the running-in period is only 500 kms, but in the manual details are also not given, like what speed in what gears, etc.

in my pulsar manual it is given in a detailed way.

and 500 kms is nothing man, we completed 450 kms in 2 days only.

Keep under 4.5k rpm till first 500 kms, then under 5.5k rpm till 1000 km, and then you can blast as you wish.

450 kms in two days, thats great.
