Engine oil cost is never included in the free services.

To know more about engine oils, you can go through the separate thread on the matter as it has a lot of information available.

Stick to a mineral oil for the first few kilometers.
Thanks a lot mate. Really appreciate it! =)

I don't think that would be needed. The bike's paint is good enough to protect it from the weather.

You can get a teflon coating done on the bike though. It will last for about a year or so..
Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)

I live in Mumbai and alternatively in pune. i got my dazzler on 07/08/10. it has already covered 5700 km and is up for the 3rd service. i have taken the bike in ghats while it was raining. i strongly recommend that we have the Anti rust applied the one which is in white color not the orange or yellow one. Teflon coat is good though anti rust is something that can be applied to the naked or exposed areas...

Sirius, I did not like the design of the clip-ons. (no offense, just my opinion)
FZ's headlight will surely look killer!!!1

                      • Which dealers in chennai have the least waiting time for Honda CB Unicorn (5-6 months in coupla dealers i enquired)and Honda Unicorn Dazzler (2-3 months ) ?. I had planned to get the Unicorn and given the super long waiting time intended to go for the Dazzler.

A friend of mine said that one should wait till 2011 to get a bike since while selling the bike it can be sold off as 2011 model instead of getting a bike in 2010 Nov/Dec which makes it a 2010 model.
I am not really convinced with this point.
                        Any comments ?

If you are so intended in buying a dazzler very soon, I know one who is selling off his bike 5k kms on the odo. Pristine condition.

Reason for selling : buying a bigger capacity bike.

                            • Hey All!

After three months of shortlisting, studying reviews and visiting showrooms, I decided to get myself this beaut from the Honda stable, the CBF150MB aka Dazzler!

I booked the pearl Red colour and got the bike delivered in a week. This is my first, geared motorbike yet i feel so, so comfortable riding it. Gear shifting is cakewalk, no problems with neutrals, it was as if the bike can anticipate my gear changes. I'm 6' 2" and the seating stance is perfect for the height. The ride is smooth, the engine sound is a delight.

Here are some points I wanted to clarify:

                              1) The bike idling rate was set to 1000 rpm. I felt it was too less at the time as it was colder than usual (cyclones in chennai), so i adjusted it to ~1200 rpm. Is this ok? I did warm up the bike before changing the idling. What is the max safe value that can be set?

                              2) The mono suspension feels good, but I doubt that its in Hard. What is the stock setting and is it advisable to change it?

                              3) I need a louder horn. Not insanely loud. But something like the Pulsars or Apache. Im not sure what Im looking for in the horn sound, but I think other bikes sound good to me because they have dual horns? So is it possible to fit an additional horn on my bike? I dont want to start extreme modding so early but definitely would like to start experimenting. Tips on this wud be great.

                                1. Yeah.. I guess it's kinda ok.. The bike gives troubles sometimes when it's really cold in the morning right? =)
                                2. Stock setting is medium.. Switch it to Soft if you ride alone most of the time.
                                3. Yeah you can change it.. If yo want a better horn.. Go for Roots Horns.. The sound is Amazing.
