Apart from that, I had a quick question to everyone... I wanted to change the horn and the headlight of the bike.. I checked out a xenon bulb which throws white light in upper and normal yellow in dipper, 35W and costs 1150...It gets connected to the battery,.. I wanted to know if our MAINTAINENCE FREE 4Ah battery will take the load ? Will the battery drain out too soon ?? I want to increase the output of the headlight... Any suggestions would be a great help !!!
I would not advice you to go for a HID without any mods to the electrical. If you are keen in increasing the output, go for Osram nightbreakers. No mods needed and light throw is magnificent.

Or if you really want a HID, consult a pro. Don't take miscalculated risks.

For the horn part, try Bosch. They are really good. Costs 450 a pair. Loud and pleasant enough. Comes with a 6 month warranty. I have been using it in my DAzzler for the past 4 months with no problems.

Hey Thanks Sirius..Osram Nightbreaker 55/60, correct ?? Are they a direct fit without any mods or changing the coil? Do you get white of yellow light with it? How much does it cost? Are there any other brands in competition with Osram, prob Philips Crystal Nightvision ?
The Horn that you are using is connected to the battery? Doesnt drain the battery soon?

I'm running on Bi-xenon HID for the past three months. Didn't face any problem till now mainly because my ride is through highway( Also changed my taillight to LED). I suggest you to go for the HID-Halo combination (the one you mentioned) for city cum highway rides. But for these types be careful not to swap Hi-Low frequently as HID needs more warm up current. Good luck!

Yep correct. No mods required for Osram nightbreakers. They are a direct fit. Philips crystal vision is good and reliable. But not better than the nightbreakers.

Yes, the horn is connected to the battery. There wont be any problem in using them, but take precaution that you don't sound the horn without starting the engine. This may drain out the battery very qiuckly.

It's a Chinese one shipped from Delhi. costs me 1600 INR. If you want to go for a Bi-xenon one, go for the one with a shield, the bulb moves in and out in a shield. Mine is a Varying focus one(which moves up and down). It cause more glare. So I'm gonna change it to a shielded one soon.

This one is what I'm currently using

I'm suggesting to use this shielded one

                        • Im using the same bulb as the first pic you post.

I dont have a ballast kit or a relay box. I just replaced the OEM bulb with this one and it seems to be working.

Can I continue using it like this?

                          • This is the HID bulb Im using without a ballast kit.
Can I continue to do so ?

It's not an HID bulb. Just a blue coated Halogen bulb. It gives a blue-white tint to the light, but reduce the lumens.

Thanks for the info.. The one that you are using, did you just have to replace the bulb and it worked fine or you had to modify the electricals as well, like probably connecting it to the battery or something..My understanding with electricals in bike is great, so pls help me understand and bear with my questions
All I am looking for is a good white light which gives much much better output than the stock and which will not drain the battery.. Would that be Xenon's or Nightbreaker ?
