Thats impressive man.....loved it....but i have one doubt on this....don't u feel any discomfort in the sitting posture as foot peg are designed for normal posture and what about back pain.....i don't think this combination goes well for long distance traveller......Originally posted by Sirius View Post

Nice mod. The finish of the handle is cleanOriginally posted by Sirius View PostThis is it.

Cost me about 550 rs. High grade steel construction.
Initially had problems with the clutch and the accelerator since the wire had lost tension due to the lowered height. But then it was rectified by Mechs at castrol bike zone and its now back to normal.
The fun of riding has increased henceforth and its really a pleasure riding it every time. Experiencing palm pain when riding with a pillion on bumper to bumper traffic, but its negligible and is compensated by the fun.
Overall, satisfied.

I can't see the pic. Please upload it as an attachment.
Happen to see a Dazzler yesterday(First time on Road)
, and it sure looked WOW. loved the floating panel and the way it is designed. But felt the length is less then the original Unicorn.
Also was not impressed by the design of the headlight cowl.
Apart from that, very nice bike on Road. Pleasure to the eyes.

Dazzler looks wow from all the angles, except from the front. I did not like the headlight design. I am seriously considering to mod it and fit either Hunk's or FZ's headlight.Originally posted by sherry_unicornlover View PostI can't see the pic. Please upload it as an attachment.

Sirius, I did not like the design of the clip-ons. (no offense, just my opinion)

Even I am not satisfied Ravi. But it was the only option that fit well among many. I was more concerned about the turning radius and wanted a good quality one. The other stylish clip ons were of aluminium and were fragile. I did not want anything for looks. I needed solidity. Hence this.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostDazzler looks wow from all the angles, except from the front. I did not like the headlight design. My First Bike
Hey people,
I'v been following this thread since 3 months and i must say there are a lot of bike enthusiasts who know a lot about bikes. So I'm here to ask a few questions.
I fell in love with the dazzler as soon as i saw it. For me, looks don't matter.. but the engine.. i can bet everyone will agree that the Unicorn engine is the best in India.
I was confused between the Fz and the dazzler before 2 months.. But i knew my heart said Dazzler and after a long long conversation with my parents.. I booked it on 18th Nov 2010.
Many of my friends don't like the dazzler since it does not have any looks and looks like a grown up twister. But i dont care.. Coz i have read more than 80 Ownership reviews and 20 reviews. My vehicle is getting delivered on 22nd (Monday) and since it's my first bike...i want some one to answer my questions.
1. What and all must be inspected as soon as the bike is delivered?
2. What care should be taken for the bike? (Eg: Not raise Rpm and Go above 40kmph and stuff)
3. And last, What normal maintenance must be done to keep the bike healthy? Hoping to get some answers soon.
Cheers!

Congrats for your new bike...you have made a good choice...
People will always give reasons not to buy a particular bike or to buy a particular bike...you should not worry too much about it now...
To answer some parts of your questions:
Things to check for at the time of delivery:
1. Check if the dealer has given you a proper receipt of the purchase.
2. Check if he has installed all the accessories he must have promised you.
3. Check if there are any scratches on the bike / rusting. If yes, inform the dealer about it and get the parts replaced then and there.
4. Make sure you get the bike's owner's manual duly signed and stamped by the dealer. Make sure that it has all the free service coupons stamped and dated.
5. Ensure that the engine number and frame number of the bike match with the one mentioned in the owner's manual.
6. Ensure that the dealer has put some fuel in the bike so that you can take it to the fuel station.
7. Make sure the dealer explains to you all the features of the bike and the free service intervals.
8. Take a quick ride of the bike and make sure all the electricals are working properly (indicators, horn, self starter switch etc)
As far as the maximum speed during the first few kilometers is concerned, you can refer to the bike's manual. If nothing is mentioned in the manual about it, you can maintain a steady speed of about 50 Kmph for the first 1000 Kms...you can exceed this speed safely after a couple of free services. Make sure you get the engine oil changed at the first service. This is very very important for the engine.
For any more queries that you may have, you can refer to the forums here on xbhp. I'm sure there's tons of info available here.
MOST IMPORTANTLY - MAKE SURE YOU BUY YOURSELF A GOOD QUALITY HELMET AND WEAR IT AT ALL TIMES.
Happy and safe riding !!!

About the oil change during the first service.. Is it available under the free service or do we need to pay?
If we need to? Which company oil suits best for the dazzler?

My new Dazzler
Got my new Dazzler from City Honda, Bangalore. The service at City Honda is very poor. There were scratches on almost every part . When I pointed out, I was told that the guy who does touchup and polishing is away. Manager told me the bike will be new after 'touchup'. I was surprised. Never thought it would happen with Honda after paying full premium price. 1)I don't understand why they do not allow customers inside the workshop. How are we supposed to know what they are doing with our bikes? Whether they are replacing the part or just doing touchup? 2)My odometer showed about a kilometer. DOn't they take the bike to RTO for registration etc? I was asked to come again for license number. Last time I bought a new bike, it was all done on same day. 3)Is it too much expecting a bike free of any scratches at all ?Is it ok to let them do touchup ? 4) How do I find the date of manufacture ? I suspect the bike parts had been stored somewhere for a long time. How new should it be? 5) How to secure the bike when I park it outside my house or office? Also where to get a good cover? Please tell me what else I need to take good care of my bike. Cheers Alok

Getting a scratchless bike is definately NOT too much to ask for. I've mentioned this in one of my earlier posts, but when we took delivery on my wife's Honda AVIATOR, I went down to inspect it a day before and pointed out 3 panels on which there were dents.
I told them this is NOT a second hand bike and I will not accept delivery till they give me a bike that is in Mint Condition, as it should be. What they do and how they do it is their business. They can swap most of the panels and they did so to my satisfaction..
I mean if we were ok with a bike that was scratched up, we would have been better of saving ourselves 10-20k and bought a pre-owned one from bikesales.com or something ...
To everyone who is about to receive delivery, please go down & inspect the bike they are about to give you, a FEW DAYS BEFORE the delivery (BEFORE R.T.O passing). Ask them which scooter they have allocated to you and give it a good inspection.
Reason for that is that :
A) If on the delivery day, you point out something that is not immediately replaceable, it will ruin your excitement and anticipation and you will have to return empty handed...
B) If you notice something that cannnot be fixed (say multiple issues with various panels and/or grabrails, console plastics etc), then you can ask them to allocate another bike to you. Obviously, this cannot be done once they send the bike for passing (because then the chassis/engine number is registered against your name).Last edited by Pyrotechnics; 11-21-2010, 08:26 PM.

You will have to pay for the engine oil at the time of first service. They will suggest the Honda engine oil (which I think is a mineral oil) which is about all right. The cost of oil is about Rs 190.Originally posted by Srinivas Shekar View PostThanks a lot Chetan. Really appreciate it.

Engine oil cost is never included in the free services.
To know more about engine oils, you can go through the separate thread on the matter as it has a lot of information available.
Stick to a mineral oil for the first few kilometers.Signals which are timed for 50 Kmph are also timed for 100 Kmph :)
