yeah..i was sharing wat i do for my bike ie CB Unicorn..

dazzler battery is enough to start the engine..its similar in characteristics to R15's battery and we havn't heard battery problems on R15.
No battery prob in R15 because R15 is fuel-injected, not carburetor.

Honda showroom people say without kickstart no problem. They ask us do cars have kicker?? We get convinced and become fools.

But most people dont know that cars have powerful 30 Ah to 100 Ah batteries. More importantly, cars have fuel-injection, not carburetor. Selfstart with fuel-injection is more reliable.

R15 is fuel-injected. Dazzler is carburetor bike. Fuel-injected bike selfstart is more reliable. Carburetor bikes should have kicker.

Bike makers removing kicker, like Honda and herohonda, dont care about this; they just want to remove kicker and cut cost and make more profit. Even yamaha has now given kicker in FzS.

Hey, I recently changed the engine oil from honda's stock oil to castrol power1 15w40. Gear shifts are better and so is the clutch. Plus to add on; the fuel efficiency has scaled from 50Kmpl to 53Kmpl in city limits . I m not sure if this is a result of oil change. But definetly better than Honda's 20w40. Also the oil change was after I completed 14.5k Kms on my dazzler. So its been bout 400Kms on castrol and going good . Any suggestions on this guys?

Option to kick start the bike is always a better option. Yes, Honda should not have opted out of it in dazzler, but there is no point in cribbing about it and getting frustrated. My bike just crossed one year, and all this year, it never came to my mind that my bike does not have a kick starter, unless somebody reminds me. There has not been a single occasion where my bike did not start.

I once again reiterate, the battery in Dazzler is very well enough to start the bike. If somebody got any problem, it might be due to a)faulty battery, 2)faulty ignition system, or 3) insufficient charge in battery. Even if you put a higher capacity battery, all the above problems would lead to same.

There is a way to start the bike and it is clearly written in the manual and trust me it makes hell of a difference. My cousin uses a Honda Activa and early in the mornings, he would REPEATEDLY try to start the bike with electric start and it always led to drained battery. I told him not to repeatedly press the electric start, if the bike does not start in two presses, wait for 4-5 sec and start again. I told him to use choke in the morning, give a slight throttle and press the electric start and this did wonders and he never felt the problem.

If you follow the procedures given in manual, you would never get problem with battery.

        • Hi everybody...have any one of you ever used a fuel line lock?
Its a menace in Gurgaon. Some mthrfckrs would sneak up on your bike and drain out the fuel! I heard that you can get some locking mechanism to prevent such thefts. where can one find and install these?

Hi Buddy, saw your video.... What interests me is the headlight modification...
                          Some Questions :
                          1. What brand is the xenon headlight ?
                          2. Direct fit or any modifications in the wiring ?

@psycho:-HID is of a german company named HID lol

                            • Bike Swinging Left - Right

Of late i'm facing an issue that has previously been discussed on these forums, but not in detail.

After I hit a bridge seam or small pothole, the bike starts to steer left and right on its own.

The moment I apply the front brake, this goes away and it handles as usual.

My mechanic is going to check it this weekend, but i just want to know in advance what the issue could be in this case. Is this definately a worn out fork cone set ?

Would this be available in Pune or would I need to wait ? how big a hole would it blow in my pocket ?

My bike has done 7000 kms and I have never hit any huge pot-holes at high speed. I'm quite disappointed to face such an issue so early on a Honda bike, even after having ridden it gently.

Yes, its a Steering cone prob but before replacing you got to get it checked, maybe it just needs to be tightened because that's all i require on my bike.
