Im just worried abt 2 aspects of the bike..

      1.open chain n
      2. absence of kick start

how long does the chain last?? only 8-10k kms??
since there is no kick start, r v supposed to push the bike to start it if v run out of battery charge??

taking the proper care of chain will maximize the life of chain to some extent...and dont worry abt the kick..have noticed the users rotating the rear wheel if required to start the bike in emergncy.

Everyone knows that starting the bike by pushing it or rotating the wheel is not a big deal but it may require one getting used to (something which not many ppl would like to do !)

Also, I wouldn't like to do something like that in a public place and risk looking stupid Imagine you are with your girlfriend and the bike won't start...so you start it by rotating the wheel. That's embarrassing

            • what abt the rear disk brake guys??
Heard it ll give many problems compared to the drum brakes.. is it true in dazzlers case too??

              • As two of the brakes are of disc type, chances of skid are higher when you apply 2 brakes simultaneously....

But there are ABS additions that you can do later..But dont know how effective they are!

Open Chain is no Big deal i have taken the bike on beaches and ridden the bike on sand also did a good amount of off roading still no issue already completed 16k plus on my bike and the chain is still intact. make sure you use right DRY CHAIN LUBE for Cleaning it never apply any kind of grease or oil on it and that stay longer then you expectation..

Absence of Kick start will never come to you mind... make sure you get the battery checked after 5k kms or 6 months which ever is first.

if that makes you feel that people would think you as stupid then just find a slope good enough to give you bike a push to start and in this you dont even have to push or rotate you wheel with hand to make you look stupid..

in fact you just said opposite.....everything in a given motorcycle is mechanical... and for any mechanical thing there a service required.. the better you service it better the performance is given back to you.. drum has various issue like locking and other where the same issue are rectified in disk brake with caliper movement's.. and improved better with ABS and other technology. so why do people say drum better then disk is because they want to rely on old moving part rather than electric chip fitted in there.. people want to see the funtional parts and not the electric light and sound indicator... best example is side single's why do people still give hand signal and not the indicator.. I WONDER...

i really don't feel like that with 2 disk brakes proprosante to each other they improve handling.. rather then skidding.. of course they would skid you hit them like you are applying drum brake.. and thats when the ABS come's in picture.. people are now a days getting the option of 2 disk brakes in 150 segments.. ealier they only had drum brake's even in some of the legends like RX125 and all hence people fell safe with drum brakes rather then disk brakes..

                    • hey all,

am giving my bike for a water wash this sat.. after water wash am planning to apply chain lube

                      1. apply degreaser
                      2. water wash
                      3. apply chain lube

                      is that correct??

And... after water wash, do we need to put some grease in any other areas like clutch/brake levers etc? Also what abt the brake rotor.?

                      • and one more doubt friends..

Is it okay to start the bike with 1 gear engaged and using clutch every time @ traffic signals??? Wil that cause any problem?

Dude, it's not always possible to find a slope. I own a Stunner and have faced starting issues despite of proper maintenance of the bike and battery. Believe me, it looks stupid and is painful.

You will realize that one day.

I thought of applying chain lube after giving dazz for a water wash...
So applied some kerosene and brushed the chain ...
Went to a automobile shop and bought a Motul lube..
It is written as Motul Chain Clean...
My gut says its a degreaser...
spent all the moeny i had.. rs 450..

Haven't given bike for water wash also yet.. since i don know whether the product i bought is right... But brushed the chain with kerosene (

What do i do now?? Can i run the bike till next weekend with this kerosene cleaned chain? And what is the exact chain lube products name?? Is it the one i bought??

                                (
