Another thing, you can't just change chain only, you need to change both sprockets along with chain.
Thanks... I have just been busy with my work to go and look for a mechanic to show the bike...
Would you know how can I identify the master link in the chain ? Any sign on the link or how does it differ from other links ?

    To All:
I am new to Pune and currently staying in Magarpatta, which is near Hadapsar. Can any one from Pune tell me a good mechanis near Hadapsar where I can get the fork oil seal and chain issue fixed...
Any help will be greatly appreciated !

Its too early for a chain-sprocket change. Are you sure your chain is loose than required? Check the manual for the required free play and determine. Because its an open chain, it makes noise.

Regarding fork oil seal, it might be that they have taken too much pressure in potholes (sometimes you don't even notice). My sincere advice is "DO NOT" go for aftermarket oil seals. Buy the original Honda oil seal and fit them with a good mechanic.

I showed the bike in Honda Service station in Mumbai, told the mech to tighten the chain. He had a look and said that the setting is at its max and that I will have to change the chain and the sprocket... So I was like, just in 15k kms, changing the chain and sprocket sounds weird.
I rode the bike from Mumbai to Pune and now I find that the chain is very very loose... Its like hitting the center stand (I guess) as it produces a thud sound when I am ridding the bike ....

Why no for after market oil seals ?? Any reason to support yor suggestions.. Or any bad experience...

50 minimum, depending on riding style

            2) Any problems after six month or year?

The most refined engine in class is of unicorn and hence its 99% hassle free if u care your bike

            3) Dazzller does not have kick start ,is it okay?

Maintenance free battery comes with this kick less bike. So no point of worry here too...

            4) My use is to commute office daily and for familly travel ( familly of 3)in city.

Unicorns were the best computer 150cc for the past years, and now with dazzler you'll have some fun too with the comfortable commuter style posture.

            Pls revert thank in advance.

            • Was stunned to see this pic on Honda Unicorn Dazzler community page on Facebook. The guy has installed Kicker on Unicorn Dazzler from 'Sai Point' at Thane, Maharashtra for Rs.3800/-. 'Sai Point' is an Authorized Honda Dealer. This is a good news for us i think.

                • Hai guys Im new in here. I've bought a new Unicorn Dazzler in Pearl Nightstar Black. Been about 3 months and have clocked about 1400 kms. By my experience its an excellent machine. Good comfort and stability at highways. Both single and pillon rides are good. Gives around 50-55 kmpl in mixed driving conditions. Hope it gets better

Some things I really miss are:
                  1. No Kicker
                  2. No engine kill switch
                  3. No chain cover (Gets real dirty and needs more washing and lubricating)
                  4. No park light (Can live with it though)

I got one issue though. While pressing the starter it gives a tick sound and takes a couple of seconds to fire up. Some times i need to press the starter twice. As this machine does not have a kicker this scares me. My local mechanic said it might be a problem with relay and can be changed at the service center. Sadly I missed my 2nd service. Is it possible to get warranty if a service is missed? Also do anyone know where I could get a kicker installed in Kerala. Guys please help. Thanks in advance.

Hi buddy, welcome. How much does your bike run on a daily basis? Cause your battery is definitely low on charge. If your bike runs a lot everyday then it means the battery isn't getting charged properly. Problem in the alternator perhaps. Also this happens only on the cold starts right? Never when the engine is warm, that's cause once the engine runs, the battery accumulates just enough charge to start it immediately.
I had the same problem. Eventually my battery died completely and i had to push start the bike. Have given my battery for warranty check currently. I reckon your battery will probably die too by the end of winter. You can postpone this by going to service center, telling them to recharge your battery, they'll do it for free.

I am currently running my bike without the battery! None of the electric peripherals are working (horn, speedo, tacho etc.) and i push start the bike. But am getting the new battery this monday. Oh and the new battery is gonna be free cause its thankfully still under warranty.

Get your battery charge checked asap, and tell the service center people to check why the battery is low on charge. The tick sound you hear comes because the contact gets made but the engine doesn't start cause there's no charge in the battery.

                    • Hi "plasmabhai" thank you very much for quick your reply. Even though my running is low, I guess my battery is getting charged because I tried operating lights and horn without starting the bike and they work fine (Even in the morning). Anyways I will check with honda and as I said earlier I have a doubt that since I missed my 2nd service will they give me warranty? Any idea on this? Also does anyone know where I could get a kicker for my bike in Kerala? Thanks again guys....

                      • Hello xBhpians! Need your help!

Hello everyone..! I have been reading this forum since many days and it gave me lot of knowledge about bikeing and related mechanical things. Now its my time to thank experts on this forum and help other as now I am a proude owner of one of the most amazing product on Indian roads- Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler!

Now I will try to help newbies by sharing my own experiences with my new Dazzy! Long and detailed review coming up shortly along with my experiences right from deciding which bike to buy to the delivery and then obviously the actual experience while riding and maintaining the bike. It will be too quick and inappropriate to share all this just now as my Dazzy is just 5 days old. So stay tuned! As of now everything is running so smoothly and odo is showing 181 kms!

I just want to know for now is that can i fit a petrol lock in Dazzler (i assum its possible but want to confirm again) and if yes, will it void Honda warrenty? I want to have one on my bike as petrol theft is serious issue in my locality.

Another question is it is advisable to change engine oil between first 150-200 kms (correct me if I am wrong). Then which oil brand should I use (considering its just under 200kms i think it should be Honda but still want to ask experts) and if its Honda engine oil only to be used, is the exact same oil available at other mechanical shops as in authorized Honda SVc? If not, will authorize Honda SVc people do the oil change because its not adviced by Honda in service schedule. Please clarify this ASAP as bike has already crossed 180 kms.

I will be glad if someone shade light on my doubts and queries!

Only the First oil change needs to be done exactly at 450-500 kms (first service). Rest of the oil change duration will be 2000kms max. they say semi and fully synthetic drain period is increased (say 4000kms)

i suggest u can change to Moto 4 gold on second or third oil change, engine gets smoother. Now my Dazzler (12,000+ kms)is running on Shell ultra Fully syn. giving a astonishing 63 Kmpl in city condition. dont use Fully synthetic until 9,000 kms on oddo.

                          • I used Iridium spark plugs, heat range 9(colder, tat was wat available) it gave a 5%-10% increase in mileage. I ripped my bike a little, found a drop to 44 Kmpl Avg. At that time mineral oil+ Iridium spark plugs+ bad valve clearance. spark plug accumulated black soot, indicating rich mixture of petrol.

Then i gave it for a service reporting to check and fix valve clearance and carburetor. FYI in service station carb setup is done, by analyzing exhaust. As soon as i got it back poured Shell Ultra Fully syn (odo 10K+ kms). Then on i'm getting 63 Kmpl careful riding in city condition and 60+ normal city condition.
Always BP or HP petrol. Avoid Indian oil is my moto

If you ask me I will say go for it. Infact go for even an earlier change. I have done mine at 65kms. And I have found a little black residues in the old oil. After that at the second change I didnt find any residues at all. So I guess it was a good choice I made. I guess these things running to around a 1000kms will not do much good for the engine.
