Also with chill climate here, the bike starts in one press). Before changing the Relay, he checked the battery and the battery was just fine. Go to your dealer and get the Relay replaced at Free of cost :-)
Thanks for the information Rajani Sridhar. I would visit the Service station tomorrow.

I finsihed my 4th and final free service today.
Is it a wise decision to continue with the SVC for furture Paid services or give to the any other good mechanic nearby.

SVC guys said the warranty would void if the 4paid service is not done at the honda SVC is that true.

      Please advise.
Note the SVC is not that great and the paid service would cost RS 980+

First things first, there are 4 free services offered. And failing to do the 4 services voids warranty. If you dont do the service in the stipulated time then the freeness of the service lapses but warranty is still intact if service is done inside the km limit. Also the km limit is not etched in stone. Plus minus 100km is absolutely allowed. For example I did my first free service at 860km rather than 700km. Warranty is still fine and I even got a new battery for free last month under warranty.

To be frank i have heard many people trashing the service centre guys for many reasons and in my own experience many times I have also not been fully satisfied with the job done on my bike. But then I have pretty decent stories to say abt the SVC guys as well. For example my battery was replaced free of charge since it was under warranty. People get their parts replaced routinely if something happens inside of warranty. Just read this thread and u'll know. And the guys working in SVC centre atleast will have to pay up if they shit your bike.

If you compare it, there are 10000 more horror stories about road side mechanics or the "trusted" corner shop mechanics f**king up bikes rather than a service centre ruining a bike. After my 4 free services got over I did not know where to get my bike serviced properly. And the area I stay is filled with two wheeler mechanics and even a couple of fake Castrol Bike Points. So I thought it best to stick to SVC centre especially since I have an extended warranty of 4 years. I bought an Annual Maintenance Contract which cost me 985 bucks. Even though its called 'Annual' it does not have a time limit, has a km limit of 12000km so up till 17500km for me. Gives 5 full services free and 1 mini service free and a 10% discount on spare parts. Also It does not have any time of km limit between services. And ofcourse for small things like clutch adjustment, washing etc I go to any road side mechanic because that's a 5 min job but for anything more than that where something needs to be opened, its always better to stick to svc centre. Sure they might not do a very good job. But atleast I can be rest assured they will not f**k up my bike. And if they do, they will pay for it honestly.

Btw just to put things in perspective: Each paid service costs Rs250/- in labour charges. Any spare part or commoditites like engine oil etc will be extra. 14% tax is added on these extras and consumables. So if you are just doing a regular service without oil change, it will cost you at most Rs300 that is it.

          • New Parts

Hey guys... I have put some photos on this post.. like LED tail lamp, rear foot peg, engine fairing... I want to order these spare parts. So does anybody want it ?
We can make a bulk order so we may get lower rates for shipping..

            • ^^ I would be interested in those rear set foot-pegs, depending on their pricing. But from where are you planning to order these parts?

              • Hi,

Can someone advise me on the brand of fuel that is most suited for the dazzler. My dazz has completed about 1000 km with 2nd servicing done. I have been using Bharat Pet. all this time and engine was smooth as butter. Tried Indian Oil and it seems a litl bumpy. Also, do we need to stick to one single brand or a litl cocktail is fine? Please advise.

Regarding cone set, i have one doubt........dazzler's fork & cone set seems to get damaged very easily or say early compared with other bikes! what do you all have to say on this........
Yes I have to agree with this statement.
My first cone-set made a departure at 7k kilometers, which given my driving style is extremely early.

I live in Pune and drive on mostly flat roads. I dont remember ever hard-hitting a pothole.

                  • ^^ same here bro. Even my first cone-set gave up too early considering my riding conditions. Also, many times when I hit a pothole i guess the cone set alignment gets disturbed for a while & then returns back to normal after some time. Has anyone experienced this?

In the initial pages of this thread, somebody mentioned that Unicorn's coneset is too sensitive and it goes frequently. Dazzler has the same cone set. It might be true. My cone set gone after 15k kms, but I have rode on bad roads extensively. So, I don't have any regrets.

It seems the prices of Honda's spares have increased tremendously. Cone set is now 360 bucks; around 100 bucks more now. One mechanic suggested me to use SKF cone set which costs only 260 rupees. SKF is a good brand. I am thinking of trying this for once and see how it does; anyway the stock one is not lasting more anyway.

And, anybody thinking of putting new Xtreme's clipons on Dazzler? I am very much interested. I need to gather information whether its possible or not.

                            • I am still finding it hard to get petrol lock for dazzler. I need it ASAP as petrol theft is serious issue in my college parking. I searched many shops but what all they have is incompatible with dazzler as the bolt size of fuel pipe connecting to tank is larger than other bikes.

BTW, I have completed almost 1.6K and no complaints at all! Mileage constantly between 50 to 58 in pure city ride and engine, gear box is butter smooth now. Vibrations at 4.5K RPM are reduced a lot infact almost gone. Still didn't push my dazzy above 90 KM/hr.

Battery, relay, coneset, etc. Honda quality is just like other companies. The front shocks of dazzler are very thin compared to other 150cc bikes, and this thin front shock absorber is probably affecting the coneset. Afterall, the same local parts vendors supply parts to all bike makers; only the design specification of the parts is given by bike companies.

Anyway, does anyone know why dazzler is not available since Aug 2011 in showrooms? The sales guys say dazzler production is temporarily stopped.

They are probably busy manufacturing more Activas. Next batch of dazzler is expected only in 2012. Are they going to make any changes or what?
