Is there a way to change the plastic handle bar-ends to a metal ones?

TVS End weight costs around Rs200/piece,Yamaha's end weight can fit directly to dazzler but that is Aluminium,

Yes. riding between 50-60 will give you good mileage. also try lower rpm.

Please tell me about warranty....will it affect even if a install a DC setup/spark plug? I need to change lights asap as night riding in highways feels too unsafe!
Any mods to stock parts will void your bike's warranty.

      • Bar end weights

Bye bye to plastic bar end weights...

Welcome to new metal bar end weights from Pulsar. Handle bar is more solid now.

The handlebar is from CBZ Extreme, the height is slightly lower than Dazzler's stock handlebar. Inserted and welded a round plate with thread into the handlebars and then fitted the barend weights with screrw. The old plastic bar weights used to come off slowly due to minor vibes at high speeds. The minor vibes have disappeared now and the handlebar feels very solid.

Unfortunately, there are no tyres from Michelin India with 17 rim width, except Sirac 120/90/17.

                  • Dazzler buying suggestions...

                    Hello Guys,

                    Sorry to interrupt your flow....

I am planning to buy a new bike. I am bit new to biking. Earlier I had splendor used it for 6s)months. Am 5' 6' with lean built (56kgs).

As I prefer light weight bikes, short listed three bikes. I prefer honda/yamaha/Hero, because I want keep it for at least 5-6years.

                    1. Honda Dazzler
                    2. Fz
                    3. Sz-r

I am not able to finalize one because following concern about Dazzler.

                    1. Dazzler: Not kicker. As I am only weekend user, I am bit worried of MF battery. At least for 6months I won't take bike to daily commuting purpose as my office is bit far. During weekend I will use bike around 15-40kms. Does it gives problem? What happens if bike left in rain? Also dual disk may cause problem for less exp riders? Please suggest me with your experience/knowledge.

Please please suggest with your experience!!! If I am a daily commuter then I would have blindly choose dazzy..

                    Thanks,
                    VK.

                    • ^ I guess for weekend rides the FZ makes more sense then a dazzler. Since you would have less running you can do away with its low mileage figures. Plus its a looker compared to dazzler, and despite being a honda, dazzler is not that great in overall fit and finish as expected from a honda. Spare parts are an issue too.

BTW guys, my unidaz has run for almost 19,000 km now and since now i was running on stock Spark plug and stock air filter and stock everything else.
During last service as these parts were unavailable, the Service center guys fitted my dazzler with unicorn spark plug, When comparing them side by side i found the unicorn spark plug longer then the dazzlers , but the SVC guy assured me that it will work well with the dazzler. Is it a cause for concern ??

Regarding spark plug, check the model numbers of both. If they are same, no issues.

Please change the air filter ASAP. You should change the air filter at 15k interval. If needed even before the 15k mark.

                        • I would rule out the SZ-R as a weekender as to me it seems more like an economical commuter.

Among the Unidaz and FZ, I would say FZ as a weekender too as you would want a bike that really turns heads when you unsheath it.

Battery-wise, as someone who has owned it for ~1.5 years, I can vouch for that fact that there are no issues.
If you dont start it for a week, you would definitely need to use the choke.

Also look at the new GS150r, looks quite good in white.

Oh yes, brakes are perfect, rain is not an issue

                          Hope that helps.

                          • I too thinking the same. As being lean physiq I am not considering GS150R, it is almost 150kg, I will visit showroom and test ride Dazzler too. Will wait for January for Delhi auto expo for new model releases (heard some upgrades for some model??)

The 149 kgs of GS150R is with 1.4 litre oil, 15.5 litre fuel, saree guard, kick start lever, full chain cover etc.
I too am lean, weighing 67 kgs and am using that bike for 20400 kms in two years without any difficulties.
Before taking a final decision, go for a test ride on that bike.
Keeping the bike idle for long times leads to battery discharge.

Guys, Please could somebody answer the above question please. In fact any experience on that terrain would help me a lot.

                                Thanks.
