That was a very different and awesome suggestion.. I never thought abt this kinda security..

I surfed the website... Actually which product to go for?? Disc locks, Disc lock alarms, zone alarms.. ?? Confused..

    Thanks for this great suggestion
Check out the Hyper-link Motorcycle-supersport in my earlier post..

1> Disk Lock : are the basic one with only lock system without any sound
2> Disc lock alarms: Disk Lock+ alarm (from 60-120 dB output)
3> Zone Alarm: as the name say's any one trying to come near to your bike it goes off Example: a person or a dumb cat any thing which causes any movement up-to a certain limit and the alarm goes off

Disk lock alarms are the best for us as we generally keep the bikes in open parking and not in private garages like what we have in US.. so any thing come's near to your bike will set the zone alarm where as the disk lock alarms will set only when there is any movement in the wheel..

Zone alarms can be effective if u want as additional security.
Patience is something you admire in the driver behind you and scorn in the one ahead..

    • New horn

Finally got a new horn for the bike.

The battery was not the problem after all. I just installed twin horns and they seem to be working really fine. The horns are the stock ones used in FZ/Fazer.

No dip in sound level even when pass light or indicator bulbs are ON.

The bike and the rider has suddenly gained a lot of confidence

He said they are originally for the Hero Honda Ambition, but it is almost identical to the Dazzler's (if not exactly the same).

Had called up Honda earlier but they were out of stock (as usual).

He also told me that with these new bikes, the "handlebar weight" is merely a cosmetic part, with no practical purpose whatsoever (which I could guess since they're hollow plastic )
The handle bar weights [not exactly ] are same for CBZ Extreme, Hunk, and Dazzler. They are just mere plastic and I do not understand how they call them handle bear weights; there are some useless brains at Honda for sure.

        • The plastic end weights are also on my Dio and since it has the habit of occasionally falling off,I tend to use it as a cruise control mechanism on empty highways as i stick it tightly when the throttle is open and it cruises at 40KM/H effortlessly
Disclaimer-It is unsafe but i do it anyway

              • Dazzler's chain sprocket and fork leakage issues...

                Hello Dazzler owners,
I have a query.. What is the ideal time in kms to change the sprocket ?..
I have completed 15k kms and have owned the bike for a year now...I was at the Honda Service station two days back, getting my bike serviced.... I asked the mechanic to tighten the chain.. He had a look and said that the setting is at its max and that n setting/tightening can be done anymore and said that I will have to replace the chain and the sprocket...Cost involved 1800 + labor + tax.
I was like wtf... I told him that I owned a Pulsar for 2.6 yrs, rode it for 40k kms without changing the sprocket or chain anytime in that 40k kms... It never gave a problem.. I told him that Honda claims to have better quality by giving spares at expensive rates...So it is supposed to last longer.. Then how come just in 15k kms, I have to replace the chain and the sprocket when my pulsar's lasted for 40k kms... He was like, "aise hi hai Honda main... Yeh drive chain hai, pulsar main drive chain nahi hai... This is better than pulsar's "
I rode the bike from Mumbai to Pune and when I saw the bike today, the chain has become very very loose... It keeps hitting the stand(I guess) and makes noise when I ride... I am really confused as to what to do... Has anybody faced this or got the chain sprocket replaced ? Any alternative ideas/suggestions will be helpful...

                2. Also anybody facing issues with the fork oil leakage... The same mech also told me that the forks have started leaking and that I will have to get the oil seal changed which would cost 650 + labor + tax...
Quite a number of peple have completed 15k kms on their dazzler... Anybody faced any such problems ? Please help...

Okay for first issue: if chain is loose then why is he asking you to change sprockets they are quite tough enough... check out with some reputed mech for second advice
second one i suggest that you get a locally available oil seal. well the reason for the local oil seal is that it will be a bit tougher in quality compared to the Honda. and also it comes as cheap as 50 rupees so even if u break it within few months you dont have to spend that huge amount for the same again i mean 650+labr+tax add's to approx of 950 rupees. where as local mech might charge you 100 for pair of oil seal+100 for labor and no tax so you spend 200 for one time of oil seal that makes it to 5 times cheaper than the original one

Just wanted to know why and how does the chain get lose ? So what you say is that possible I might need a new chain but not a new sprocket... Let me check with some local mech and get back....

                        Horn cost - Rs 150 x 2 (dual horn) = Rs. 300
                        Wiring + Relay + Switch = Rs. 250
                        Labour/Tip = Rs. 50

Total for a horn makeover = Rs. 600

The switch was to select between stock horn and the dualhorns, but I guess I would never want to use the stock horn anymore. Bleak piece of crap

It doesn't affect the battery at all, no more than the stock horn. Unless you hold down your horn for like 3 hrs without turning on the engine

Will post pics when I find them.

                        Cheers.

Can we fix it with out switch and relay with the stock setup?

I think the pulsar you had have got a chain cover. As dazzler's is an open chain, it need to be cleaned and lubricated at 500-1000 km intervals. If this is done properly you should at least get 25K easily.

Another thing, you can't just change chain only, you need to change both sprockets along with chain.
