That jerking could be related to TPS. Depending on throttle position, the TPS system advances the timing of CDI (ignition) system. So, i suspect TPS is not allowing rapid accleration and hence causing jerking.

            • Engine oil filter?

Is dazzler having a engine oil filter? If yes, where is it located? My mechanic told me that there is NO oil filter in dazzler! Is this true? So far I have clocked 15K kms but never changed or cleaned the oil filter (if its present at first place) Also where is the oil strainer screen located? How to clean it?

You are right, its greenish paper filter, with yellow tints in between.

There are two engine oil filters in the Dazzler. Oil strainer screen which is a screen that filters big metal particles and traps it below. The second one is centrifugal filter and filters minute particles. Centrifugal filter needs to be cleaned every 12000 kms and Oil strainer screen should be cleaned every 6000 kms (per manual).

I hope you don't face the same battery problems with your Dazzler that I faced with my Stunner. The battery died within 8 months of purchase and since there's no kick lever in Stunner, all hell is breaking loose

Actually i'm hoping that my battery dies out as soon as possible. So that i can fit a more powerful Amaron or a TATA Green ^_^, A manly one unlike the present "Crying kid" one

And hey guys i've found a solution to the jerking and throttle response problem! You just gotta make sure that there's atleast 2 litre petrol above the reserve mark! I've experienced it, throttle response problem breaks in when i fill petrol worth 50rs when the fuel reaches reserve and even the efficiency is very low when you there's little petrol over the reserve mark. I got an efficiency of 31kms for 50rs petrol (0.7 liters, since petrol price here is 72rs per litre).

But when i fill it with 100rs petrol (1.4 liters) the throttle response is quick and buttersmooth, lol no one can escape my over-taking attempt and even the efficiency is much higher i.e 85km for 100rs petrol (that translates into 61kmpl, and this was BEFORE THE FIRST SERVICE) and it also does 60km/h at just 4000rpm during that time.

Yes, that makes sense. For now I have just claimed a new battery with HASS. Once my warranty is over, I'll switch to a more powerful battery too if I keep the bike with me till then

Which bike do you own right now? Is it Stunner or Dazzler :-|

And what do you mean "IF my bike is gonna stay with me till then."

Thanks for this info Ravi, I never knew this, so far @15k kms I have never cleaned any of these filters as honda service people told me that they(oil filters) do not exist. Now please could you tell me where are these filters located? (both centrifugal filter & oil strainer screen). so that I would get them cleaned immediately.

Information about these filters are in the manual. When to clean is mentioned in the table. If they tell next time there are no oil filters, show them the manual. Honda service people are the laziest buggers.

These filters are located near the clutch plates, above and below. You have to open the right side crank case to clean them.

                              • I noted this today .. Its hardly 2 weeks from service.. and now i see rust in the chains..

Also the rotor of the disk (back) has some rusts here and there

The crash bar also has some rusts on the curves...

I don't know whether Honda is cheating me or the dealer..

Chain of course, i accept.. because of open conditions and moist it gets rusted.. but the disk?? Isn't that supposed to be a good quality material ? phew..

And when i asked for a Chain Lube the shopkeeper showed me a Rustlick Brand ... I dint get it.. wanted to confirm with u guys whether it is okay to get that brand.

Also there are two type of sprays.. Before and After.. I think he is speaking about the De-greaser as "before" .. We can use kerosene and a brush instead of this isn't it ??
