2 services have passed since then & i'm yet to change .Currently my bike is at 17K Km.Planning to change it next service.
When ur driving normally you wont notice it much, its only when you are accelerating hard u'll get jerks.

Also my rear suspension has gone kaput WTF????
In these 17k Km the bike has hardly done 200km with a pillion and the roads that i drive on are one of the smoothest roads in hyderabad.....donno how a suspension can give up so easily
The service center told me it is not covered under warranty but when i checked the manual its mentioned clearly that the suspension is covered under warranty(2 yrs or 30K Kms).
So dont believe the service center guys blindly
Hi Speed.. what happened to your shock? how is it behaving now?

Well guys I wanted to ask how long have your chain set lasted?

My bike has done near 13000 kms and the chain seems to slip from the front sprocket. The guy at service centre said that chain has been tightened to the maximum possible setting but at least from the marker on side plate, it is still in the green zone. I asked for the estimate and he said it will be 1900 for complete set + labour with tax.

Wondering what I should do :| any advice?
I think the chain and Sprocket could last upto 20000kms.. when you'll change the chain change the Front and Rear sprockets too..they should be changed at the same time

        Hi phat_17,

When ever i go over a bump, i get a 'thak' sound, initially i thought it was the sareeguard hitting the swingarm but when i got it checked by the service center technician he told the suspension has gone bad.
Asked him how did he come to such conclusion in 5 mins...... he told me to remove the bike from the center stand, put hands on the grab handle and push it down. There was no resistance it just went down easily , he asked me to do the same with another dazzler & i could hardly push it down it was very stiff.
Also the handling has gone for a toss the bike is bouncing all around the place like Pulsar or HH hunk.
The part is not in stock as of now, service center has placed an order....waiting for it.

My mono shock absorbers also has gone bad.I don't get any tik tik sound but ride has become very stiff and bouncy and also getting neck/shoulder pain.
I am not sure what is the price of rear shock absorber. They don't have stock here, price should be around 1400to 2400rs.
I managed to check a reconditioned shock for 700rs. Not sure about it so decided to give it a skip.
Is recondtioned shock absorber good idea?

          • @rock18 I was quoted a price of approx Rs.2500 for the mono-shock.
How old is your bike? If its less than 2 yrs your shock is under warranty. check you bike's user manual.
My frd suggested that we can get our shock re-conditioned(or repaired) for around 300 bucks not sure how reliable it might be.

            • Hi speedfreak24 & phat_17,

Thanks for your replies. I am not changing the set for now, when I do, I will change the complete set. Will change sometime in Jan... Unfortunately cannot go on any long tour since the set-up is not reliable.

                Nope.its more than 2years old.
If its 2500rs, then I will give the reconditioned shocks a try.
Do you get shoulder pain while driving?

Will you get seperate chain ? I guess you will get a set of chain and sprocket. Mostly when chain gets loose it surely effects the sprocket's teeth. And Never ride hard on such chain sprocket, because this might lead to come out of chain or chain breakage etc which can lead to dangerous situation.

And shocks can get kaput any time if it has bad impacts on bumper jumping or banged on some potholes etc..
Kaput suspension do give a non stable rides + bouncy rides...It's better to change it quickly!! If not change this will affect your back seriously!!

And do follow up with the SVC if it can be change/repair under warranty mostly!!

No I dont get any back or shoulder pain.
Except the bouncy handling, everything is fine even the ride is the same.

If you go ahead with the reconditioned shock please let us know your feedback about it.

Yes, we'll not get only chain as a separate piece, it comes with the sprocket.
Are you sure the chain will break if ridden hard because i ride my bike hard. I touch speeds in excess of 80 daily on my commute & i use engine breaking to slow down from high speeds.
It will definitely be a dangerous situation if the chain breaks .

The service center has already placed an order last Saturday for the Monoshock waiting for it.
Like i mentioned before the suspension has never taken a hit. Though i ride fast i slow down on bad patches.
My pulsar took a royal beating from me but its suspension never gave up..... somehow i feel all honda has better quality than bajaj is all B.S. and hype.
My Dazzler requires a lot of babying unlike my pulsar

                      • I was told that putting an FZ tire hugger is almost useless if my aim is to keep the shock clean..

                        then I did this..

Yes Breakage of Chain is possible, once my chain had broken and similarly one of my friend also had a chain breakage!!

Suspension/alloys are something which can't be predicted of performance!! So it can and not perform well, you never know which bumpy or jumpy ride was more impactive on your shocks!!

Took a scooter's rubber mudflap and stuck it with fewi quick .
I cut out a small portion so that it doesnt foul with the chain

                              • Hey buddies let us share the top speed achieved on our Dazzler.

I achieved a speedo indicated 121 KMPH on a straight road with a bent down position.
Upto 100KMPH the bike feels stable but beyond that its not very confidence inspiring and the brakes are also not very effective at speeds beyond that.
