Btw dude the Karizma has a 125 sized jet right? The Apache 180 jet of size 125 does not fit in our Keihin carbs... checked yesterday only... cleaned up my carbs then and closed them up since the jet did not fit.

Any idea where I can get a size 125 for keihin 28mm carb (that's Dazzler's stock carb)?
Yes, ZMA has a 125 jet. Where you can source it is a debatable topic. You may/may not get it @
    1. SVC
    2. HMC Spares shop
    3. Local mech (Dream machines/Royal motors - both are barely 2 kms from IISC)
    4. Shivajinagar junk yard.

My riding will be between 4.5k and 5.5k rpm most of the time so i hope changing to 35w hid will not be a problem

How did you convert switch to dc? Can i do it myself or will it be better consulting a electrician

Thanks for the pics... Looking cool. Interesting tread design. Clearance between chain guard and tyre looks quite less as you already mentioned but I think this should not be a problem at all.

Changing to HID won't be a problem, but it may be a problem for others on the road if you do it without a projector. AFAIK you have to change the RR unit for that. However many mechanics do it keeping RR unit as stock. I have no idea how that works. May be someone else can help.

HID would be plug n play if the bike has DC setup from factory. However for AC setups, coil rewinding with a gauge 19 wire is a must. I'm not sure if the stock RR would be able to handle the load. Hence, people suggest APE RR.

Also, battery would need an upgrade. The surge when HID s switched on varies from 7-9 ampere. Not only would this mean melting of stock electricals, but also would drain the stock battery within a few min.
If going for HID, please invest in a projector too. P220's projector is cheap and best option. However, if you get a big ballast, you may need a wider projector, something in the 3 inch range, P220's projector is 2.5 inches AFAIK.

Try a 55w bulb for sometime. Basic bulbs come for 75 bucks or so. Hella and Philips are few of them. You'll be satisfied. Else you can go for costlier versions like Osram Night Breaker (900 bucks for a pair) or Philips Xtreme Vision (850 bucks a pair). You'll get these at any car accessories shop.

Thanks bro. But AFAIK these bulbs heat up quikly if we do not provide enough current and may fuse and changing bulb is not easy like in cars.In case of four wheelers it happens with 90w bulb continous 2~3hrs usage but in bike will it last that long with 55w??

The Dazzler's reflector is designed for a 35/35w bulb's dimensions. I used 55/60w bulb once; though the low beam improved, the high beam gone for a toss.

I have fitted a chinese made HID in G.P road, chennai 8 months ago. paid around 1500rs for the entire kit and labor.
Low beam is a yellow light and high beam is HID (white light).
Bike has been doing good so far.
                        Instructions they gave is
                        1.Do not use flash button.
2.Switch on the HID only when the engine is running and also switch it off before turning off the engine.

Yesterday my bike did not start and instrument panel also stopped working..So i had to push start the bike.
I though battery was the culprit but it turned out to be a loose connection.
                        Now all z well.

Even the extreme/hunk runs 28 mm carb, but the main jet is 128. So if you need still bigger jets then you have extreme main jet which is 128.By the way extreme and dazzler both runs 28 mm carbs but extreme runs 35 pilot jet and 128 mm main jet, may i know what is the jet size of dazzler stock, both main and pilot.
