    thanks in advance....
How hot is the engine? Is it enough to stop the engine? Here in the phils, our dazzler group members never complained anythng wrong with it,, unless its modified one.

I use repsol sintetico to my dazzy and loves it.. I feel the smoothness from gear shifts and its acceleration

The resale value is terrible. I posted my ad online on a couple of sites and i hardly received 5 calls in a week... finally sold it to a friend's friend for a loss.

A Friendly note to everyone: Honda reliability is a myth, dont blindly buy a bike just because its honda. I bought two vehicles blindly (Dazzler, Aviator) just because they were Honda.
I'm repenting now. Both have been plagued with issues from day one.
The engine in Dazzler which is the same in Unicorn, cbz xtereme , hunk is know to have problems, ask any mechanic & they will agree. I just dint research enough before buying
The only saving grace here is the service is good atleast in Hyderabad.

    What engine issues?

Yeah, quality simply isnt there. My bike got an oil leak from front right fork. been only 14k on odo. Great thing is oil has been on the brake pads and it is not biting enough. Might need to change it. Got rust in most of the nuts and screws. Complained at the service centre and they said honda knows it! Great! I didnt get any benefit from that!

Changed the starter relay 2 times (Lucky it was under warranty). Second time what happened was when I started the bike the starter kept on cranking and wont go off. I took took my hand off the button, turned off the key and even stepped away from the bike not knowing what was happening. The battery died after 10 mins of continous cranking and if finally it stopped. was stranded infront of a shop and onlookers with a dead bike that wont even start after pushing (Thanks for no kicker).

Had a two Yamahas before and only had an oil leak from fork after 35k that too on one of them. Now have a wego also not such issues. Really disapointed on quality from Honda.

Actually Dazzler was a failure model. The Unicorn still sells like hot cakes in 150cc segment. Despite all the newer swankier competition. At least thats the way it is in Mumbai. I myself owned a Unicorn from 2006 to 2008 and immensely enjoyed the machine. Before upgrading to Karizma.
Actually Honda has completely and totally failed to provide after sales service anywhere as good as their product pan India. They dont give practical margin and support to Service Centres and so no one takes up the franchisee.

No need to go to svc. They're a bunch of idiots. Just go to a local authorised battery shop and check if your battery is charging properly. Also check if any cells are weak/bad. If cells and battery charging is ok then maybe your bike doesn't run enough to charge the battery and is left standing for days on end.

Dont blame the battery too much.. My bike is 12500 kms old and the battery is still alive and kicking..they need to check if the battery is getting enough voltage to charge itself, check the ports of the regulator it could be corroded, clean the terminals from the battery as wellservice centers should have these tested or they will waste your time and money.charging the battery too much could damage it and shorten its life..

Looks like Dazzler is getting some bad reviews here. I got something to add.
My bike has done 37500kms as of now.Took it to service center as there is a lot of kuch kuch noise from chain despite doing the 400kms lubrication properly.
Guy there told me that front sprocket is gone so i need to replace the entire set.Cost is 1800rs. Fair enough. but the problem is the previous chain change was done only around12000kms back.
I never knew this chains have such a pathetic life.Spending 1800rs+labor every 10-15k kms does not sound good to me.I have already changed the suspension at 35k(Honda quality).

I told service advisor that,I used to get mileage around 50kmpl,now it has dipped to 42-45kmpl in the last few months.
He said there is black smoke coming so the mileage i am getting is more than what is expected from this bike.I need to change the bore, etc which will cost upto 8k.
I was surprised but he is not at all surprised saying your bike has already done 38k so what else do you expect.

How much is the maximum ODO reading by dazzler owners here in this forum. Anybody has crossed 40 or 50k KMS???
Any advise regarding this black smoke? Chain sprocket is too costly.

+1 to the myth of so called "Honda reliability" although i dont own a Dazzler my experience with DY has been the same as speedfreak24
I see oil leakage near the engine and i get black smoke after the engine warms up the ASC dont agree that this is a problem with the bike ( completed only 4.3K kms so far) i was told that this is expected because DY uses a CV carburettor !!! and Honda engine is not like a TVS engine ( when i told him that my previous bike TVS Victor didnt have this issue even after completing 9yrs and 45k kms )
Do speed breakers break speed or break backs !!!

                        Hi Rock18.

My Unicorn Chain/spockets gave similar sounds at 22k. Ignored it because the cost invested to get a new one is more. Now it has crossed 33.5 K (Stock chain and sprockets) with the same sounds coming.

Painful to spend much on spare when not used much !!

Try to ignore the sound. or reverse the front sprocket.
Front sprocket of my Unicorn was reversed at around 25 K kms. Mechanic told that this should be fine instead of replacing the entire set.

If you cannot live with it, just change the front sprocket alone and not the entire set. Should cost less than 200 and some 70rs for Labor.

Over-tightninig the chain will also cause the front sprockets to bend or break.
