Full DC setup is compulsory for installing the HID. Once you do that you can directly install 35w HID without any trouble. Confirm plug and play. However if you have an HID from the car then chances are that it is 55w. I think the Dazzler's alternator should be able to handle that but I cannot say 100% because have never seen that kind of mod on a dazzler before.

For information the Dazzler's alternator generates 140w of power @ 5000 rpms, according to my calculations that is about 35w of extra power to play around with. So should be ok, but like I said, you never know. It also depends on whether you have added other battery draining features like special horn or lights or central locking etc.

Also, HID without a projector is a bad idea and is illegal in India.

It will be better if you install kick on dazzy before installing HID...
so even if your battery dies you can start your bike easily...

Actually push starting the dazzler is damn easy. Turn ignition to on, put the bike in 3rd gear, push the bike upto 7kmph on speedo (fast walk) and dump the clutch, the bike will start!

I rode the bike without battery for 2 weeks so I know this works! :P Rough surface helps, smooth cement floor of basement parking lot will not work

Yeah push starting is easy .
But when my battery drained i had kept it in a slop so that i can start it easily but the bike fell on to the nearby car thanks to the super duper side stand

Actually, my elephant doesn't crank in 3rd gear if pushed. Not even 1st. It has some kind of a love affair with the 2nd cog. 9-12 kmph in 2nd does it for me.
[P.S - tried it only 4 times in a single day when the battery connection went loose after it got serviced at the ASC. ]

The hid is 35w 9~14v 3.2A. I hope it will suit dazzler

why not try it in 1 st gear it will be quit an easy task than other gears...
but instead of push start if we put a kick then it will be too simple...

Zapper VYDE 120-80 on Dazzler (Price-Rs2950/-)

About HID, I'm using 35W 4300K H4-3 Bi-xenon HID in my Dazzler since Aug 2010, still on stock battery, no alteration other than changing the Headlamp switch to DC. If you are cruising most of the time in highway, above 5K RPM, you won't face any issue with HID. But for city use, HID not recommended

Damn, I guess it pays to be more specific.. Good thing that was not an "in" haha..!!

Btw dude the Karizma has a 125 sized jet right? The Apache 180 jet of size 125 does not fit in our Keihin carbs... checked yesterday only... cleaned up my carbs then and closed them up since the jet did not fit.

Any idea where I can get a size 125 for keihin 28mm carb (that's Dazzler's stock carb)?
