  • You will have to be specific about the sound and its source otherwise no one will be able to say for sure where and what is wrong. Loose cone set bearings generally make a 'TAK' sound and not "cling" sound. Both of these are vague terms in themselves so I think you should not jump to conclusions..
I think the sound it is more like small metal bearings hitting each other (dont know how to say it). Tried shaking tha handle while stopped but didnt get the sound. Yeah ,my area has lots of broken tarmac. Thanks for the advice not to change cone so fast, I was thinking over it. Need to do some findings on how the sound comes.

By the way that was a nice tutorial on how to replace the air filter. thanks.

      • Hi @manas34

Since you have not posted the original source of the above video then let me do the needful for you:

The above dazzler belongs to a fellow xbhp member, Souvik Basu, extremevirus I think is his xbhp id.

His dazzler is truly insane, the list of mods is simply endless and the results are to be seen 0-60kmph in 3.5 sec flat, 0-100 in slightly less than 10 sec. In fact this video was taken without the perfect tune for the engine. The engine was still running lean. After this video he has actually attached a RE500 carb running a Fiat cars main jet (forget which model, UNO or Palio I guess).

The guy is insane and so is his bike. He was the first person in the country to get Joel's big bore on a dazzler. I am the second I guess. Once again the list of mods is endless so don't even this a big bore can achieve this just by itself.

Hey manas, next time onwards please share the authentic source or the video and give due credits, thanks!

I am posting the original video link below, if you guys do want to watch the video, kindly watch it on youtube link and not the one shared above which is tagged from FB & is probably pirated or copied. Thanks a lot! Your discretion is appreciated.

        • well plasmabhai i just shared the video from the dazzler group on fb and i didn't had thought to share the credits as video was showing below name.Any people who havent seen the youtube video can never guess it .

BTW the max speed i achieved on my dazzy is 57 at 4k rpm in 5th gear, i dont wanna go beyond it now as its in run in period. covered only 560kms.
When i went for the servicing the showroom guy told to bring bike after holi as it can cover more distance and bike will be cleaned from any color if it spills on bike shocked and brought the bike home, so first service is still pending.

Well about the video no problem mate..!

About the srevice, I think they must have had too many bikes in by then so they gave the Holi reason to come later. Btw by 500 your bike's run in is more or less over. Get your first service done, then you can slowly start going above 4K rpms... point is go slowly, don't just rip it till 9K one fine day, just go slow and steady by increasing by 500rpms till you reach 6K rpms progressively... stick to 6K (80kmph) limit till second service.

              • Anybody aware as to how does the front shocks lasts? coz mine just flattens out when it hits a small or big bump on the road, worse my shoulder starts hurting if i am on a bad road, changed the steering cones twice (its another history sheeter), it happened the moment i got the fork oil changed(standard issue at Honda) and more we tried adjusting it like adding some spring loaders or some more oil or keeping it stock, SVC guys say its ok after test rides but it starts all over again after a few kms. Never experienced it in heavy bikes like the Yezdi, Enfeild or the pulsar P150 classic which i have... Anybody?

The front suspension of the Dazzler is on the softer side. Did you try riding another Dazzler and comparing it with yours?

How old is you bike, if its less than 2 years ask for a replacement if you feel it has gone kaput.
Suspension also comes under warranty, check the manual. I got my rear monoshock replaced under warranty.

                        • My bike has done 34500kms till now. I have changed the rear tyre to R15 tyre i.e 100/80.Now its time to replace the front tyre.
                          Should i go with the the R15 front 80/90-17 (V1) or 90/80-17(V2)?
People claim 90/80 tyre is much better...Is it ok to fit this tyre?

Since the stock is 80/100 if you put in V1 tyre then the fit will be perfect but the height will decrease giving a slightly faster readout on speedo (error).

You can go for V2, I think it should fit ok but you will need to check that the tyre does not touch the mud guard. Height difference will be same as V1 so speedo error will also remain same.

V1 will fit as stock. V2 you will have to check and see if it fits and does not hit the mud guard.

BTW how is the rear tyre fitting? Any air loss or anything? Since it is thinner than stock that's why am asking. And what about ride quality and grip? You like it?

                            • Thanks buddy. In Chennai, its very difficult to find either of these tires.
only tire that is available for dazzler is Continental contigo.

regarding the rear tyre, ride has become a bit stiff.cannot say about grip level till I change the front tyre.
initially it had air leak problem, got it resolved then.

Yes that's exactly the response I was expecting, on both counts, stiffness as well as air leak.

Since the side wall height decreases there is less play for flexing making the ride slightly on the stiffer side, further a thinner contact patch also means that more of the road imperfections will be transferred to the rider, on the one hand this makes for better feedback, on the other hand it makes the ride stiffer on bad indian roads.

And air leak when you go down a size in width is common problem with tubeless tyres. Keeping the rims same you can go at most one width size more, that too only of it does not hit some part of the bike. For example in RTR160s putting in even one size thicker tyre results in the tyre hitting the chain guard!

I think the better option is to stick to stock sizes but buy tyres with better and softer compounds for good grip like going in for Michellins/Pirellis/Dunlops etc. Have heard that ContiGo is good never seen it in person ever though, wonder if it is available in bglr.
