Further if there is smoke coming out only under hard acceleration or high rpm and not during general riding then there can other reasons for smoke, namely a blocked Crankcase breather tube, for all you know there might have been nothing wrong with your bore + piston at all... You should not have agreed to change it so easily man..!
I left the bike at the service center for one whole day. Based on their "Technical Expertise" they told that i needed to change my bore & piston.
I was busy and just wanted my bike back so dint argue with them.

May be like you suggested i should have taken a second opinion because even after replacement i'm getting this smoke . Earlier it was bluish white....now its almost black

The bike is back at the service center now.

My colleague also owns a dazzler and I told him my bike's situation, just to confirm he too accelerated hard and found white smoke .His bike has done 22K km.
He is going to a different service center, lets see what they have to say.

    • ^^black smoke is excess fuel burning. Get your carb checked and tuned correctly.

      • Got back my bike today. The bike was in the service center for 2 days.
        Following are the parts replaced
        1) Bore (Again)
        2) Piston(Again)
        3) Piston Rings
        4) Crankshaft

All the above parts were replaced under warranty.
I'm not sure how i feel about the whole experience, i'm happy with the service i received but i'm unhappy with the reliability of the product(2 bores, 2 pistons, piston rings, 2 crankshafts , rear suspension).

        • Finally Got my hand on my Dazzler....

When my dad brought the bike home i was in the college busy with the project work and daily lectures. At 6:30 pm when i got home i just dumped my bag with my laptop in it without taking any care (Hopefully its working fine) just got the key from the key-holder and started the bike, Odo reading was showing 347. 1 km ,the bike was too silent and the moment was so pleasant, i felt i am on the seven clouds then just was roaming out side the city then i got that i forgot to take the pictures for my best buddies over Xbhp so stopped the bike on a bridge and took some photos.
kindly adjust with the photo quality as took it from a 5mp camera of my mobile c6-00.

The bike is looking dirty due to riding it a rain for long time had taken todays ride during heavy rains and i didn't even feel any time that i can lose control over it rear disk brakes are boon and for those people who thinks that riding a rear disk bike first time is dangerous i never felt that even riding it in stormy rains.

Once again thanks Samarth 619 and other friends for your wonderful opinion.
will try to upload more pics on sunday in daylight.

OT:- please send me the xbhp photo to copywrite the images with xbhp(either through PM or email :- [email protected])

Holy crap 2 bore changes so early . I was cursing hero quality when my bore went for a toss at 35000 kms but looking at todays products from honda i think they have thrown quality out of the window. My old unicorn i used to change the oil only after 5k+ kms even then it never gave any sort of trouble like this - still cursing myself for selling that bike .

                    • Read the manual yesterday it shows that the bike should be serviced at 750 kms but as far as i remember the showroom person said it to do after 500km so what should i do wait till 21/3/13 as 30 days complete or to complete 750 mark?

which date should i follow the day i took the bike or the day that is printed in invoice reciept?

In my opiniion you should have changed the oil and cleaned the oil filter much before. Because a new engine will have so many loose particles running around the system and that is not good. Make sure you clean the oil filter, that is important.

As for oil, any good brand would do.

And keep an eye whether the service guys have done their job because some of them are notorious of not changing the oil but saying they did (Believe me, has happened to me). You could under normal circumstances, never find if the oil has been changed or not under 500kms or so. Oil will look like new.

                        Happy riding...

Looks like the problem is solved but the tappet sound has increased, to adjust this they need to open the head again.
I asked them not to fiddle around any more as i'm planning to sell this in the next 2 or 3 months.

Yaa the quality has definitely gone down. The mechanics also agree with this.
I used to own a pulsar & even i used to change engine oil after 5000km. Never faced a single problem in the 50K Km.
While purchasing a new bike i was in a dilemma between Suzuki GS150 R, FZ-S and Dazzler, bought dazzler to experience the legendary Honda refinement and reliability both of which have eluded me. From the last 6 months not a single day goes by without thinking "How did i end up buying this instead of FZ-S "

                          • Sound from handle.

I got a problem. There is a some sort of sound like a cling though much muffled coming from my handle assemble. Usually this comes while driving on rough/uneven roads. Is this a problem with the cone? Is replacing it costly? Should I go with other brand rather than Honda? It seems they got some serious quality issues.
                            Bike clocked close to 12k.

                            • Hey guys, I recently replaced my air filter since 15000kms were up and it was time... Inspired by the Karizma DIY thread I decided to take pics and post a similar information specific to our Dazzler..!

The link to the thread is : http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/do-yours...a-dazzler.html

Have a look and ask back there or here if someone needs clarifications.

                              Thanks! :-D

You will have to be specific about the sound and its source otherwise no one will be able to say for sure where and what is wrong. Loose cone set bearings generally make a 'TAK' sound and not "cling" sound. Both of these are vague terms in themselves so I think you should not jump to conclusions. I have not come across a single genuine case where the cone set had to be replaced at 12K... You will hear people telling you that they had to change at 7K and stuff but I am pretty sure these are not true cases. Do you ride in especially bad and pot holed roads? In any case try and find the exact source of the sound before doing anything. No point in getting your cone sets changed and then realizing the sound still persists.

                              • My Bike is almost 10k odo old and I never had any major issues with it. I'm very happy how its been performing.

the only issue that is bothering me is some oil moists between Head and block.

other than that.. nothing.. still hitting 120-125kph..
