  • I found the dazzler better, ergonomically.

Fz's tank crushed my balls on a bump, no such problem with the dazzler.
The brakes are better than any other bike in its class. I ride 50 kms a day and its a hellowa comfy bike, for both the rider and the pillion.. I find fz's pillion uncomfortable. My dazzler gave around 50kmpl before the 1st service and did a top whack of 112kmpl after the 1st service.

and about the looks...its a matter of personal choice.

albeit marginally ! even 1 second is not exactly a blistering performance difference..

wow !! crushed balls? that never happened to me.. even when pulling stoppies ! obviously you have not ridden any other bike in its class lol dude in braking it goes RTR FZ Pulsar.. i would say Dazzler is a little better than pulsar if at all (TDed it).

Just becoz it has nt hapnd to you does not mean It wont happen to anyone. A few of my fz friends face that problem, im not talkin about my own experience only. Its issue which was disscusd on an offline meet too.
In braking rtr is better, agreed almost...but fz and pulsar with thier drum brakes cant be better when a lighter honda is running on nissin calipers.

"obviously you have not ridden any other bike in its class lol dude"
"Dude" iv been riding for 11 years now and I dont think there is any other bike except for luna and busa that iv not ridden.

and btw there was nothing to "lol" about it.

        • TVM Trip

So, My first trip on my Dazzler, 755km in two days. I'll keep it short. At about 8 am yesterday, mom woke me up to tell me that my cousin had a cute lil baby , so thought about visitng her at Trivandrum about 370km from my place. Started about 2.5 Hrs after, at 10:30 am. Reached Ernakulam bought a Full-face helmet, met a friend, ate food and again started from there at 4:30pm. Reached a place called "chavara" before Kollam at 7 something, my first encounter with rain in this journey, took shelter for about 15 mins till the rain was over.

But it was hell afterward up till Attingal, as it was dark afterwards, with potholes everywhere and every moron flashing his lights in my eyes I don't know how I managed to get through em. Here is when I felt the lighting could have been better, may be its cause of the rain. Reached KIMS hospital directly at about 9:30am.

The next day (today 4`th July), I started back at about 9:30 am, but now with heavy rains, but as it was daytime, it was manageable.

          About the Dazzler,
          - I loved it .
          - Averaged between 50-70kmph, went till 80kmph at few points, unfortunately my 1`st service is still due and its 1400km+ already on the odo .
          - The speed it achieves, it does without any fuzz. Engine might not be too powerful but is good in what it does.
          - Again, I don't know if its the rain but I felt the headlight is bit low on brightness though the high beam is fine.
          - The seat position, saddle height/handling goes very well with the roads and traffic here.
          - Its efficient, I got 50-58kmpl.
          - Its all dirty n muddy now, but not engine or electrical problem whatsoever.
          Peace \m/

No you should not have done that to your engine. My friend has a Passion pro. He got it serviced for the first time only after 1500kms. Now it makes sound and vibrates like hell. Even mileage is not that good..less than my Dazzler.
Apart from the running it too much before the 1st service i think you overspeeded quite a lot. When i was bringing my bike from Ernakulam to TVPM i didnt let it go more than 55 i.e. 4k rpm though the showroom guy told me i could ride it uptill 65. I think 4krpm is standard for run in.

Think of this..already worn out engine oil mixed with fine metal particles from the settling of the engine running up and down in your cylinder....i can almost hear the creaking sound from your engine.

Care your engine in the run in period and it will return all your love.

Wouldn't there be any warranty issue if you don't get it serviced in the prescribed limits?

Now go get it serviced ASAP.

            • Hey guyz... Jus returned home after getting my Dazzler an NGK Iridium plug... Man I must say this... Before changing to this I was really hesitant... But then took up the guts and did it... The change....

Absolutely stunning.... No vibes and slight better pick up... Dazzler is so refined already... But above 5k rpm, vibes (light) start to show their teeth... But now those have disappeared significantly... Mr.Monty (Hardeep Motors) promised me an increase in mileage and power... havent checked the mileage... BUt power, YES... Vibes, NOOO.... yee haa....

              I got Iridium power...

The plug number for both unicorn and dazzler is CR7EIX... Cost me 520 bucks... Got a cup of tea free and zero fixing charges...

The pics from the handlebar with the speedo in view have come up great. I have always felt that bikes with open or no fairing are better clicked this way, than bikes with enclosing and protruding fairing.

                      • Guys let me say this, running the engine smooth is not always the bettter way to break-in a new engine. If we refer the manual we can see that they mention to rev bike not more than 60% of the total rev range for first 500 miles and 80% for the next 500 miles. To wear the engine components its always advised to load the engine by giving short bursts of acceleration which will lead to heating and cooling cycles leading to seating of components. If an engine is run too soft or run at constant rpm it will only lead to engine glazing.

PS: Guys a friend of mine is interested to buy either a Dazzler. He needs to buy bike within 2 week time as his dad will go abroad in 2 week time. He is from Thrissur, Kerala. The delivery time mentioned by dealers is around 5 months. I read someone mentioning about delivering Dazzler within a week time from Ernakulam. He can buy bike in ready cash. If anyone know the details please give me a P.M.

                          • Proper Engine break in

Bro dont get confused. Read the manual carefully. I have a GS, and Suzuki suggests to rev the new engine not more than 6K for first 500 miles and 8K for next 500 miles. 6K in top gear is 75Kmph for GS. If you google you can get all different kinds of break-in methods. As engine performance figures of GS is very similar to Dazz, I guess these rpm values will be similar. Also Honda engines require minimum break-in compared to others. And one more its always better to change the oil and oil filter asap say at 500 kms as majority of engine break- in completes in initial kms and filter may get clogged.

Heating is the main issue with new engines. Always ride around 4K till engine gets warm for about 10 mins. Then you can vary the engine rpm to 5K rpm gradually and try not to keep engine rpm constant. Shift gears in proper rpm above 4K rpm. Its not the speed but the engine rpm that should be monitored. We can ride 60kmph in 5th gear and 4th gear but in 4th gear the rpm will be higher. Riding in constant rpm for prolonged intervals will stress the engine, when we vary engine speed engine components will undergo heating and cooling which will help to obtain optimum wear. But in the case of constant rpm engine will heat up. And the most important of all never ride bike in top gears in low rpm below 3 K rpm this will most likely glaze your engine for sure.

About the engine glazing I mentioned, it wont happen in lower CC engines as the heat produced will be much low compared to higher CC engines. As our bikes are mass produced the manufacturers provide with a moderately tuned engines, its all up to the rider to fine tune the engine to suit their riding style.

I rode my bike this weekend and I have a few questions.
                                1. The bike heats up pretty fast, I dont understand the reason for it... Is anyone of you facing this prob of engine heating up???

                                2. I am having some troubles to rev the bike in mornings.. The bike starts easily with one puch of the self start however when I engage the first gear and leave the clutch, the bike dies.. I have to rev lill more than the usual to get the bike going.. As I engage the second gear then and accelarate, the bike behaves as if petrol is getting over and gives those jerks and if I rev a lill more again, it works fine...
Is anyone facing this prob or has any idea about it...

                                3. I have completed 110 kms and thinking to get the oil changed once before the first service by the honda service center itself.. What do you guys suggest cuz I have heard that it is advisable to change the oil in 100 kms and then in the first service again as when the engine is new, the friction between metal particles in the engine is more and is possible that small tiny pieces/particles of metal fall in the oil...
