Re: Pulsar 150 Neon Handling and Noise Issue.
Let others handle this, I am done with people like you.Originally posted by tez_padhye View PostPerhaps you don't know 15w50 is FULLY compatible with engines that require 20w50.Perhaps I am not, but unless you would want to state your sentences in some otherway. Now as I had stated earlier what does the manual state for your vehicle? or if such something that FULLY compatible, then there is no need to trouble shoot eh? perhaps you would want to use your superior knowledge instead of this little old forum.
I'll try to put up a video on youtube and link here.

Its okay. I don't mind you getting offended because you helping me with half knowledge could actually do more harm than help. Don't think for a second I don't respect the forum or something else. I have read through all the 702 pages of 180 theorem to build up my knowledge I'm halfway through this thread too.
I know and have read it a hundred times here on xbhp people changing out Bajaj oil to some other company ( not even necessarily Motul) mineral oil, either 20w50 or 15w50. The w50 is whats most importantLast edited by tez_padhye; 05-14-2020, 07:45 PM.

Re: Pulsar 150 Neon Handling and Noise Issue.
Anyone else have any thoughts on this?
Originally posted by tez_padhye View PostHey guys, this is my first post here. I have been facing few issues on my 150 Neon for some time now. Have completed 2387km as of now and afr screw is at 2.75 turns ( still rough setting because unable to ride due to lockdown). Engine oil is Motul 3000 15w50.
1. The handle falls towards left with great force on it own. Like even on main stand if you lift the front wheel up by pressing down on the rear grab bar handle falls sharply to left. Because of this while riding at say around 40-50kmph bike "countersteers" towards right and even leans too. Ideally it should go straight. This is causing pain in my left palm and is unsafe too.
ASC people admitted that problem is there and overhauled and said the issue is fixed. 7 of them rode my bike solo, 3 times with me as pillion, 2 times as me riding with the service head as pillion. They claim issue is fixed but the bike is still falling towards right. Its little less with a pillion but it still there. One of the service head of KTM even went on to say that
" ABS wali bike hai aisa to hoga hi" ROFL. I told them to check T and coneset but they say its its fine and they didn't have the part either.
2. There are a couple of sounds coming from the engine. One is like chrrrrr direct from the engine, almost feels like the timing chain is making sound but I can't decide because never heard a timing chain before, my 2007 Suzuki Zeus still has no abnormal noise from the engine :3
This is most clearly heard at idle with a hot engine. I don't think this is a sound that will go away as run in period gets over.
Second sound is rather strange. While riding in the 4th gear, after 4000rpm engine makes this whirring sound like an old exhaust fan, (hmm hmm hmmm) and the "hmm" increases as I put in more throttle (hmm hmmmm hmmmmm). I can hear it upto 5.5k rpm after which the normal engine sound takes over. Again, ASC guys deny that its there.
Drive chain is properly adjusted and lubed with Motul c2 lube.
What to do guys please help.

I own a Pulsar 150 classic, 2018 model. It has clocked 42,000 kms till date. I will share the ownership experience in this thread soon. Apart from minor niggles, the bike has been fairly reliable and it's my daily commuter. It gives me a mileage of 46 kmpl as per fuelio app. Here's the photo of my bike.

Regarding that, unless a video is there on on how the sound sounds, I cant be of any help but as a thumbrule if there is no vibration or loss of power when the sound occurs, it would be the characteristic of the engine
