Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Another question, can I fit LHS switchgear of 2017 pulsar 150 in pulsar 150 ug4.5 ??Originally posted by Ronit Paul View PostYou can do that by yourself. You can connect one to the battery, other to any plug which feeds the positive wire. Attach a switch though

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
All you got to check out is the plug of the wires ( generally it is 5 pin, earlier it used to be 4 pin) i had to change the LHS switchgear back in 2015. At then, i put on the new one with 5 pin. Since then i guess it hasnt changed. But for confirmation just check out the plug from any mechanic or yourself, get a similar one.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostAnother question, can I fit LHS switchgear of 2017 pulsar 150 in pulsar 150 ug4.5 ??NeonboY13

Overhauling Experience of pulsar ug 4.5
Hi friends,
Recently got my pulsar ug 4.5 engine overhauled at 28500kms on odo, bacause it had started sipping engine oil. Engine piston and cylinder kit was replaced with standard kit from Bajaj. Valves too were replaced. After overhauling I observed white smoke during cold starts asked the mechanic about it but he was not ready to accept that there was any problem. After observing it for 2000kms I found that bike was still consuming about 60-70 ml per 400 kms. Got engine opened once again, Changed the piston rings. Now the white smoke is gone for good. But still spark plugs are gettind dirty. There is a blackish liquid on spark plug threads and black residue on negative electrode. I am posting pics of spark plugs which have completed 16000 kms. Please tell me what is the problem left now.

Pulsar 150 engine sound
Hi all, I am new to this community, own a pulsar 150 2009 done 45000 kms. Recently since 1 month as I start the engine it creates a weird sound the one like when the engine cracks if we engage 4th gear at 20-30 kmph (The kit - kit sound). Also the rev Keeps fluctuating automatically, I have to manually set it from carburettor almost every day. I got it checked with the agency as well as local mechanic but both failed, the pick up of the machine has decreased very much too. Please help as to where exactly is the fault.

Re: Pulsar 150 engine sound
Cannot comment much without hearing the sound or feeling the response from your bike.
What i think is when you are engaging 4th gear at speeds of 20-30, it is causing engine knocking.
And for the rpm to keep on fluctuating, i had similar issue where when i cold start my engine, it never used to hold a steady rpm, it would simply die. Upon proper heat up, the rpm would be stable at around 1500 rpm.
My mechanic (usually works with Bajaj bikes) quickly diagnosed it as loose tappets and he did tappet adjustment. It was resolved then. Bike's response has been improved post that. My bike has clocked 27k KMs.

Pulsar 150 Tensioner adjustment
There was a strage sound in my bike after my last servicing,
I took the vehicle back to the same mechanic, the issue was with the loose timing chain and identified as rattle sound.
Mechanic told that he has tightened the timing chain. I ride the bike and I felt the sound was good.
After reaching home, I observed the engine at a closer look and noticed one extra bolt as highlighted in the picture below
if this is a proper fix?, After couple of months of riding, I dont see still the rattle sound coming again.
But could it be doing any harm to the engine in a long run?, Can you please suggest if it needs any immediate attention.
Please note:- I have changed my Bike's bore piston and head including the cam chain only 10 months back .

The issue was with the timing chain of the engine, it was hitting my engine's outer body. Got it changed today. Sound has gone and motor's giving a proper response to throttle.
