  • Tyre upsizing

    Hello all,
I own a pulsar 150 (Ug3 2007 model) and am currently thinking of getting a broader tyre at the rear, could you suggest a tyre and size that can be fixed without making any major changes to the structure of the bike.

I ride on a 120/80 Zapper Vyde. But would suggest a 120/80 MRF Masetter if you want grip and cornering capabilities, Ralco Speedblaster 120/80 if you want a dual nature tyre.

Hi Parth, did you need to remove the chaincover to fit in the 120's? my local mechanic suggested doing the same as I want to go in for a 130 .

Hello, I do not have a chain cover since long. You can fit 120 with a chain cover, but it will be really bad in case of a flat. Also, the inside protruding part of the swingarm can be cut and weld shut if you like to.

            • My bike dies at low rpm

              Guys please help me..
They say first love is unforgettable,so is the first ride,.Maybe thats why i have decided to fix up my old p150 ug2(2005 model) when so many people told me to sell it.I got the cyclinder kit changed about a year ago. Then i replaced the clutch case, swimgarm bush and wheel bearings.Im currently waiting for my bikes wiring kit to arrive. The problem is that now when i ride for about 5-10 kms my bike gets overheated so much. Also after riding about 5kms my bike dies at low rpms, like when i slow down to take a turn or when im downshifting.when rpm comes down the bike starts to stall and when it happens i try to give it gas and all that does is produce a weird sound(like air leaking coming out of the carb) from the carb and then the bike dies. Then if i start the bike again,it idles fine but when i give it gas it just dies again. So what i did was that i started the bike and pulled the choke out rode for a few seconds by pulling the choke(which was very hard to do by the way) and the i gave it full throttle and bike started to move again untill i came to the next turn and i repeated the whole process again.Even turning up the idle speed didnt seemed to work(but it worked one time but the bike was revving too much)
When i finally got home i noticed the bike was overheated like it was burning hot. There was a burnt smell and white smoke was coming from the engine oil bay. Also the silencer's bend pipe(the part attached to the engine block) was very very hot.The weird thing is that the tail piece(outer end) was not hot at all.And i only rode about 6km when all this happened. So please guys help me out i dont know what the problem is.
Didnt get the time to show it to the mechanic since all this happened yesterday evening.
P.S: my silencers pipe is broken and i need to change my carbs diaphragm.
              Thanks a bunch.

                    • Restoration Of My Pulsar 150 ug2

I was probably about 8 or 9 years old when my dad first bought home a pulsar 150(2005 model),and thats it i was hooked.I made my mind on that day that my first bike is going to this one.I had a lot of fun with that bike and pained to see my dad sell it.Fast forward to my second year in college,i decided to buy a bike,a used one actually cause of money problems. The first bike crossed my mind was my dads pulsar. So i tracked it down using its plate number. When i finally found it lying in a junkyard, stripped for parts it broke my heart. So i bought a second hand pulsar, same model.I didnt want any other,i wanted the exact model.I finally got the bike and was using it for two months and problems started.I showed my bike to a mechanic. He said every single part of this bike is complaint.Cylinder needs replaced, needed new pistons, needed clucth plates, gear shaft, gear lever, rear shock absorber, wheel bearingals wiring and carb. All this need to be changed or fixed.I broke down.I had no money at hand.So with a heavy heart i rolled my bike into a corner of our backyard. For 6 months its been collecting dust.About a year ago from now i fixed up my bikes engine, put new clutch plates, new handlebars and changed the gear shaft.Thers still a lot to be done. Will upload some pics soon.
I need ideas for paintjob, personally im goin for black and cyan combination.
