Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
I don't have a specific suggestion as such, but in my case I went to this central place here where you get every spare part you can think of and told one of the mechanics there that I wanted a better bulb. They put in a Phillips branded one (don't know model etc) but it is way better than my stock bulb and didn't need any electrical mods. You could try checking with your local mechanic there, he might suggest something.Originally posted by nirjhar1997 View Post

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Dear all,
The Pulsar 180/220 f foot peg sets are a direct fit to the pulsar 150, for the kick you just have to use a apache rtr one's, and for the shorter brake connecting rod use the pulsar 180's one (before the disk was used) with all of these you can enjoy the sporty position of the 220/180 and retain the convenience of the kick start.

Sorry if the pic is not clear, as you can see the brake lever and the foot pegs are from the 220 the kick is from the rtr apache 180. The right side case was cracked so I replaced it with the current gen pulsar 150's. This bike is the 2003-2004 twin spark pulsar 150.

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Yup there are no further requirements as under that. apparntly the older gen the rear end parts measurements are the same. However it was in my case [ a bike that consists of bastardised parts] at the worst case scenario, what I bellive a simple extendor clamp would be sufficent to handle the job.Originally posted by MidnightEvil Parth View PostAlso the bracket to mount exhaust fits without mods ?

Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
Yesterday, My P150 UG3 (9 year old, 30k on odo) died on me. It was running perfectly fine but after walking back from gym, it refused to start. Tried to kick numerous times, engaged starter 8-10 times, checked fuel and fuel tap for any fuel related issues. But nothing seems to add up. Opened up right side spark plug to check for spark and bam, there wasn't any spark from the plug. I even tried to use the left side spark plug cap to check if there is an issue with the wire/plug cap. But still there wasn't any spark.
It was 8-ish pm, so i decided to push it back to home. While pushing almost 500 mts, i decided to try my luck and this time, it started with just one push of a button and transported me back without any hick-ups.
Now here i am sitting and wondering what could have been the issue? Could it be some fault in the CDI unit? or something else.

When was the bike last serviced? there could be issues with the wiring itself and or the CDI, where do you stay? I could recommend a mechanic.Originally posted by neeljinwala View PostYesterday, My P150 UG3 (9 year old, 30k on odo) died on me. Re: Bajaj Pulsar 150 All Versions
It was serviced in august 2017 from Drivojoy. The mechanic did a great job and solved most of the issues. Sadly the company has suspended operations. Post service it would have run almost 2000 kms. I stay in HSR Layout, Bengaluru. Good mechanics lead would be really appreciated.Originally posted by Manan View PostWhen was the bike last serviced? there could be issues with the wiring itself and or the CDI, where do you stay? OK well, unfortunately the mechanic is at nagarbhavi, when I used to study at that area, the garage name is wheels automotive and the mechanic's name is Manju.Originally posted by neeljinwala View PostIt was serviced in august 2017 from Drivojoy. If you read few of the posts above, he was the one who helped me modify my old bike. You would have to the take the outerring road to get there and while I do understand that it is a long way off, he is the best that I can think of. If it were my case I would get the bike checked once in a while from him.

First time rider, need help with hand me down 2004 Pulsar 150 DTSi
Hello, a family relative recently gave me a Pulsar 150 DTSi that was purchased in 2004 according to the RC book. From what I have learned so far, it is considered to be one of the classic variants since it has the round headlight on it instead of the curvy, boxy front.
According to him, it was serviced "just enough to get it working and in a ride-able condition". However, he did say that it needs a new battery.
Since it was unused for a very long time and this is my first motorcycle, I have a few questions/problems:
- The RPM and fuel gauges do not work reliably/at all. In the case of the RPM, it works for a small timeframe when the bike is used after an interval of a few hours. In the case of fuel, it has never worked at all. The lights, including neutral and side indicators, exhibit the same problem as RPM where they work initially and then die. Is this all because of the dead battery? I really need the fuel gauge to work at least.
- There's a strange rattling sound from somewhere in the bike when it moves. Even when I'm rolling the bike with the engine turned off, there's a small 'tak' sound every few inches. This amplifies greatly when it is moving between 15-35kmph though. After that, I cannot hear it as much. Any ideas?
- Do I need a High Security Number Plate if I'm riding within Mumbai? If so, where do I get them in the western suburbs? How much should I pay for replacement ones anyway? I got quoted Rs. 300 for both, front and back, is that normal?
- The lights, when they work, are really weak and I even have a missing indicator at the back. Can anyone approximate the cost to replace all of those?
- Finally, is it worth actually spending money refurbishing this? Or should I take the ~10k I may get from it and buy a newer model?
Here are a couple pictures I have of the bike, suggestions are welcome, I really need some:
