They used to convince the buyers by saying like this. Be strong in your decision or change the showroom

Also i changed my Rear Tyre to MRF Meteor also suggest which Front tyre should i go for or change it to Stock Tyres itself (MRF Zapper - FS).
The Zapper FY that comes as stock tyre for R15 is the best front tyre available now. But being a soft compound, life of this tyre is lesser than stock tyre of pulsar which is Zapper FS. FY is slightly bigger than stock size(10mm wider). Check out the last two pages of TYRES thread to get more details about this tyre .
Edit: change the tyre if you feel the grip is not adequate and the tyre is bald.

        • Hey guys i finally got my bike on thursday with MRF ZAPPER tyres!!! And the bike looks awesome!. I think you only start to appreciate to beautiful lines (design) of a pulsar once you own it. I gave her a bath today since she got damn dirty while coming home from the showroom . Even though i don't know how to ride that well(only ridden a splendor and cbz old once each) the pulsar 150 is quite manageable even for a slim person (i barely weigh 53 kgs) like me. No problem with the bike till now except for the fact that when i press the rear brake the brake lights don't glow. I'm planning to take the bike to the A.S.S tomorrow. Hope they get it resolved quickly.

Congos man..! Even i am a slim built (53 kgs , 178 cm) but i feel this looks awesome for our skim kinda built Yes you admire its looks only when you own one. Still the looks cannot be said as outdated..!

Reg brake light, it should be the spring adjustment attached with rear brake..

            • hai everyone,

i have got a pulsar 150dtsi in march 2009 and clocked 26k kms till date.to be frank it didnt have a proper service history(did servicing from svc at regular intervals but dont know what are the parts changed till date as my brother used the bike for most of the time).now again the bike returned to me 3kkms ago.now i would like to know what are all the parts that are to be changed by this time.

1.tyre: still running on the stock tyres,i feel that they are not giving enough grip..whats the normal life of stock tyres..and i need some better rubber which gives excellent grip without affecting the mileage adversely

2.engine oil: whats the best engine oil for this machine and the grade of it.i use motul full synthetic oil for my ninja and i am completely happy with it.

              3. changed the clutch plates 1k kms back

4.i lost the manual of the bike ..so i would like to know when the spark plugs should be changed?

P.S: i am noob regarding the technical details of the bike. the last service i did was from a local reliable mechanic who handles with r15s and pulsars efficiently...

waiting for your valuable suggestions..thank you..

After 30,000 kms mainly you have to change the following (acc to manual):
air filter, spark plug, fork oil, brake shoes, cone set, brake fluid.

Go for R15 tyres. They are the best grippy tyres available in 17" now

2.engine oil: whats the best engine oil for this machine and the grade of it.i use motul full synthetic oil for my ninja and i am completely happy with it.
The grade for P150 is 20w40, I have not used fully synthetic yet so cant comment about it. In mineral i have used elf and valvoline champ and both are very good oils. Valvoline premium semi synthetic 20w50 is also great buy.

                3. changed the clutch plates 1k kms back

4.i lost the manual of the bike ..so i would like to know when the spark plugs should be changed?
According to manual, spark plugs has to be changed at every 15,000 kms.

May be no one is facing serious problems with their pulsar 150 ..! almost all the possible issues have been discussed in P150/180/200/220 thread.

Thanks man. I just finished 100kms. I don't take it out alot due to the rains. Do you know any good polish to keep my bike shining as new?? Btw, how many kms did you finish on your pulsar and any major problems till date?

I dont use any polish kind of things apart from simple clean and wash. Here you can find it, http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...ke-polish.html. Never wipe your bike with dry cloth, it will create sctatches.
I am close to 15,000 kms on my ride, no serious problems till date.. Earlier i had a problem with exhaust note but now its as smooth as anything, very calm and bassy note..!

never noticed speed at 4000 rpm, though i use 6000 rpm as reference speed, so in my P150 UG3 6000 RPM in 5th gear = 72 kmph approx.

Yes pulsar 150 does 50 kph at 4000 rpm and it is normal. My pulsar does 48 at 4000 rpm after under-gearing it.
