it is very difficult to get something matching that rear meteor tread pattern. try something from Michelin or Ceat.

Can we use one tyre of MRF and another of Ceat or other brand ?
will it not effect our milage or will it cause our bike to wooble?

    • you can use any good tyre, no need to worry about any wobble..........

mileage depends of tyre grip, so if you use wider than recomended size or one with softer rubber.......mileage and performance may be adversly affected.

wrong front tyre size can also cause speedometer and odometer readings to be erroneous.

        I have a Pulsar 150 Dtsi.
I have replaced my rear tyre to MRF Meteor.
Now i want to replace my front tyre, so i wanted to know which tyre should i put so that the threads of the rear tyre matches the threads of the front tyre.
Please recommend nice tyre for city riding as well as for Off Roading.
I guess for your kind of use you can have an choice of MRF FS or CEAT/DUNLOP Mystery (2.75X18) . Stick to the default config for front tyre as affect the direct cornering ability of the bike .

                      how much did it cost?

                      • i got HID for Rs. 1800/-. Custom made from Ebay.in. Fitting costs around 200/-. I just plugged it into battery directly and then the switch connection was also made direct by some wiring adjustment. i haven't done anything in the stator coil as i already have avenger coil and rectifier which can take a load of 55/60W normal halogen. My HID is 35W 4300K so it should be OK for charging also.

                          • I have a 150 ug4.5(4500kms on odo) and its giving me a mileage of around 39-40. problems started when a svc guy fiddled with my tuning and since then no matter what adjustments i make(to the A/F mixture), the bike doesn't give me a mileage better than 41-42. the best i got was 43 but the pickup in that case felt a bit compromised. what may be the other possible causes?
to add to this, i also experience a strange resonating sound in 2nd and 4th gear(at 3.5 to 4 rpm). are these two things, by any chance inter-related?

This is what happened to my bro's bike when he gave for 4th service. He used to get 55 with his sane riding suddenly after service it dropped to 40. That resonating (knocking in less intensity) sound is the effect of lean a/f mixture . Go to the service center and get ur carb retuned or get hold of a good mechanic, he will do it in less than 10 min .
If u want to do it yourself then do
1.rise ur rpm to 4k by adjusting idling screw
2.turn the fuel screw to full lean, i mean till it locks completely when rotating in clock wise
                              3. Now ur rpm should be varying
4.gently turn the fuel screw anti clock wise till 2 complete turns
                              5. After 2 turns rotate the screw by 1/4 turns and u will get the constant rpm within 2 to 3 turns range
6.Remember 1 turn is a complete rotation of 360 degree
P.S : I used to tune my bike as mentioned above and always get the correct tuning with mileage of 50 + kmpl ..

                              • thanks prabhakar......
next time will try out the tuning as per your instructions....
today, another new problem- suddenly, my rear brake stopped working......no matter how hard i pressed it, it just wouldn't work(felt as if i was pressing against a rock)...fortunately was at a low speed then and managed to stop by using the front ones.
