  • Wow, went through some of the last few pages. There is a lot of stoner bashing going around. Why is it so? Has he done something catastrophically wrong on track/off track?

    • ^^ You sure? I don't see any post indicating that.

Edit2: Misano FP1 over. Spies is giving a tough fight to Hondas. Lorenzo behind the Hondas. Same as previous Rossi lurking in 11th. Top Ducati yet again Barbera (who is still using the older rigid version of the chassis and a GP11)

As far as I know, even the one used by Rossi and Hayden (GP 11.1), has the same chasis as the GP 11. Correct me if I'm wrong..

GP11 chassis cannot go with GP11.1 engine and vice versa. So both Hayden and Rossi are now on 11.1. Satellite riders haven't yet got the 11.1. Out of all only barbera and Abraham are using the oldest version of gp11. If you notice Abraham still uses the old fairing with those 'winglets'

Thanks for the information friend. However, I think there are only two teams riding Ducati - Marlboro Ducati and Pramac Racing. Hector races for Pramac?

I have never actually checked it. However, both the versions varies in performance as well I suppose.

            • Can't say which one performs better as generally Barbera/RdP/Abr do well in qualifiers but race Hayden/Rossi do better.

Ducati has six bikes on the grid.
              Two factory: Rossi/Hayden
Two Pramac: Randy De Punet/ Capirossi
              One Aspar: Barbera
              One Cardion AB: Abraham

              So it is confirmed:

              Also the grand take over:

                • Please some more big names on CRT bikes. It is getting interesting.
All the satellite teams are looking to have a lot of shuffle.

Pramac has one seat vacant for 2012 (probably both seats if RdP strikes a good deal with other team); who will fill in...

Also Tech3 might have both seats Herve Pocharal isn't very happy with Cal's performance and Edwards out to CRT. Bradley Smith, Stefan Bradl even Dovi, RdP and Eugene Laverty competing for a seat.

Gresini Honda might have Sic and still undecided for the other seat or even the bike itself. Budget is there to run a two rider team but Honda isn't interested in providing the bike. Gresini said they might just run an Aprilia along side Sic

What if Marquez wins moto2 in his first attempt this year and Repsol wants him to be moved to moto1? Then Gresini Honda should be his place to start.

LCR's plans are still not decided. Don't know what will happen to Elias.
This all from articles already posted here and on the web
very interesting weeks ahead apart from the championship deciders

It's been a year since the Shoya's fatal crash happened at Misano. I still can see the crash in my mind seeing that turn 11, Curvone (asked David on Twitter)

Ha ha ha Amazing sense of humor Rossi has

                  New helmet design.

                    • Lorenzo rode like a champion today. I think I saw only one mistake from him otherwise

Fantastic battle for 4th. Both Spies Dovi looked miffed with Sic. Don't think he did anything wrong this time.

Apparently Stoner lost the race because of lack of sleep (as mentioned by him in post race conference)

Both moto2 and motogp saw lead points reduced. It'll be interesting. No mistake permitted for the leaders.

125: Last lap last corner Zarco looked like a kid whose lollypop was about to be snatched trying to stop Terol with his hand

while watching the race I was wondering that what would stoner say today..."other people win races when Casey has some problems"...

good that the championship is interesting still..., great racing for the 4th place...finally Sic does well,
Doc still disappointing...when he was overtaken I expected him to come right back, like good old days...guess he isn't confident on the Ducati to do that...

missed other 4 races of the day..., just moved homes...No internet...

                        • Reading through the quote machine on twitter, Stoner was not the only one who was suffering from jetlag Pedrosa too said it was difficult to cope up with that.

This plus neck injury made Stoner lose strength in the middle of the race to such an extent that it was hard to spot the braking points and change directions...

Did anybody notice there was so much Vale chants and boos for the riders. Not good
Lorenzo said in the post race conference too that it is good (in a sarcastic way) to have a win in Italy. Even Stoner was laughing on his comment

                          • Guys, can I talk something else other than Rossi, Stoner and Lorenzo for a moment?

"He" - A kid too young to die that bad a way.

He was a legend in making before he slipped...
He was his family's darling kid before he died...
He was the pride of the podium till the moment he crashed and burned...
When he smiled we all smiled with him...
When he died, the entire Japan felt a part of it dying with him... or the entire racing fraternity.

Guys, please spare a moment for Shoya Tomizawa's death anniversary. An year ago, on Sept 5, he died in a very graphic accident.
RIP Shoya, you won't be forgotten. God bless.
