  • That was my thought too, as soon as they showed the incident on TV

    It wasnt completely Marco's fault...

But I didnt take 24 hrs to realise that,

It seems like the Steering turned left pretty hard as soon as Dani hit SIC where dani was expecting to go towards right or straight

Agreed!! Damage has been done......I Feel sorry for pedrosa.
But everyone targeting Sic for this incident is so uncalled for....

Look at the first three pics.Sic was behind(1),cuts in to Pedrosa's line(2).And the third one tells the story,Sic chops it!

Well, looking at the fourth pic it does look like Pedrosa had a lot of room towards the inside of the corner but like they say, easier said than done.

I was watching the highlights of the GP today evening.Interesting thing is the replay of the crash was shown through Ped's on-board camera. From there it looked impossible to save the bike from colliding to Sic.I am sure someone else(I mean, among us) would have noticed that.Sic cuts in too quickly(and wrongly).

Had it not been for Pedrosa's crash and his collarbone injury or before things turned ugly,MotoGP was at its best!

it just looks like a lot of room.
what we see there, is virtually the edge of the physical limit to which Dani could have kept going.

          • At such high speeds "that much room" apparently won't be enough. This whole incident is not happening at 60 kmph that he would had seen Marco cutting sharp and avoided the clash. Even a bike's length would have been insufficient. Plus it was a left and then immediate right, Dani would have been preparing himself for the right when it happened.

Anyways enough of "could", "would" from my side.

Honda following Ducati strategy of testing the 2012 bike in full livery. That bike doesn't look any different than 2011. Ducati at least the swingarm seemed longer plus the exhaust was different.

Hmm, Pedrosa is so fragile! I am not sure but looks like he struggles a bit to get on his bike during Race start.

                      OT: Bionic!

The incident is just being blown out of proportion. Simoncelli is hard, If you can battle harder fight or move out.

Lorenzo Rossi Japan could have washed out someone will this talk of hard riding be this loud then ? everybody called it pure racing except for the lolly pop kid.

What if Jorge had take out Dovi at Lemans ?

Its just a racing incident and Simon was right. Dani P should have backed off or he was just at the wrong place at the wrong time.

                        • Rossi has always touted Sic as the next big thing.

i don't think this incident will make a difference to how Simoncelli rides in the future.

and he looks like the only rider on the track (besides Rossi)
who can give us memories that looks like this.

At Le Mans we saw a glimpse of another very, very brave and slightly mad motorcycle rider who will take no prisoners and ride hard just as Rossi has over the past decade.

                            • all the italian riders right now in moto gp are the crazy types whether it is simo or rossi in moto gp or iannone in moto 2. Iannone came from 17th position to take the win in estoril. he even has crazy written on his leathers. the only exception is dovi who is the gentlemen racer. the spanish ride fast but never crazy. that is why it gets rather boring to see to spaniards battling it out for any position.
i am hoping ducati manages to get some juice flowing through their bike, till now they have been the biggest disappointment in 2011.

Edit: Any idea which are the teams that have applied for the new litre class of 2012??
